Tyson Fury has set one condition for his coming out of retirement and returning to boxing. The Gypsy King has not fought since his second straight loss to Oleksandr Usyk last December. After losing by split decision last March in Riyad, he lost the rematch by unanimous decision, and Usyk defended his WBA (Super), WBC, WBO and IBO heavyweight belts and remained the undisputed and undefeated king of the division.
Fury, 37, retired three weeks later in January this year and has so far refused to turn back. He has retired once before, returning to the ring in June 2018 to face Sefer Seferi, almost three years after his iconic victory over Wladimir Klitschko in Germany.
Since his departure from boxing, discussions about a trilogy with Usyk have become a topic of discussion, as has the long-awaited blockbuster Battle of Britain with Anthony Joshua. And his good friend Derek Chisora shared what Fury wants if he ever returns to the ring – huge money to fight.
Chisora spent time with Fury in Monaco and revealed: “Tyson is coming back. He wants to fight Usyk. The Gypsy King is coming back, don’t worry about it!
“Usyk’s teams will demand so much money and he already got that much for two fights in Saudi Arabia. The last time I spoke to Usyk he told me he wanted ‘massive money.’
However, it is not only money that is delaying the third meeting between Usyk and Fury in the circle. British heavyweight Fabio Wardley is next in line for a WBO title shot after knocking out Joseph Parker.
The WBO ordered Usyk to defend his belt against Wardley in early 2026. In July, Fury suggested he would fight Usyk at Wembley in April 2026.
However, the WBO’s decision places a huge obstacle to these hopes. His promoter Frank Warren told Sky Sports the same month: “We’ll see [if Fury returns] but he likes this fight [vs Usyk] and he wants this fight, and by the way, it was a close fight.
“Anything can happen in this business, maybe this fight will be possible if Usyk really wants it and Tyson wants to do it. I’m sure there will be an appetite for it.”
Usyk defended his belts by knocking out Daniel Dubois at Wembley in July, but his advisor Serhii Lapin rejected the possibility of a trilogy with Usyk last month: “Serhii Lapin. “Theoretically it’s an compelling option, but for whom?
“If boxing fans really support it, then maybe. But in my opinion, that chapter is now closed.” Usyk, who will turn 39 in January, is currently recovering from a back injury and has stated that he plans to continue boxing until he is 41.
“I train every day. I’m training to enter the ring next year and, with God’s support, win,” the Ukrainian told UNN. “I will box until I am 41. And then I will build a sports academy and I will train there, and I will train there.”

On Wednesday, Lewis Crocker heads to Australia to defend his IBF welterweight world title against Liam Paro for the first time.
Crocker will face Paro at the Pat Rafter Arena in Queensland, live on DAZN in the UK and Kayo Sports in Australia.
Crocker (22-0, 11 KO) became world champion in September, defeating Paddy Donovan twice before winning the rematch by split decision.
Man from Belfast recorded his second victory over Donovan after the first victory in March last year, and his rival was disqualified for hitting him after the bell.
Paro (27-1, 16 KO) is trying to become a world champion in two weight categories, having previously reigned in the super-lightweight division.

The 30-year-old won the title with a unanimous decision victory over Subriel Matias in Puerto Rico before winning the belt in his first defense against Richardson Hitchins.
The Australian has since won twice, overtaking David Papot in his last appearance in September.

McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
McKean (24-2, 16 KO) had his career cut miniature after a last-round loss to Filip Hrgovic, followed by a brutal first-round loss to Moses Itauma.
The 35-year-old southpaw returned to winning ways with back-to-back stoppage victories.
Talivaa (8-2, 4 KO) last won the IBF Oceania-Orient title, defeating Faiga Opelu by first-round stoppage.
Undercard remaining
At cruiserweight, Luke Modini (13-0, 11 KO) will likely need distance to beat Peng Qu (17-2-1, 12 KO), while Riley Candy (8-1, 5 KO) could stop Nathan Watson (11-3, 3 KO) at super middleweight.
Vegas Larfield (13-1, 9 KO) can hand Shamal Ram Anuj (11-8, 8 KO) his fourth defeat in a row in a featherweight clash.
Heavyweight Nelson Asofa-Solomon (2-0, 2 KO) can secure a third straight knockout over debutant George Burgess, and Stevan Ivic (8-0-1, 2 KO) can do the same against Caleb Tialu (3-7, 3 KO), also a heavyweight.
Prospective super welterweight fighter Jack Javed (1-0) should overtake Lance McDonald (1-5-1, 1 KO).
