On Friday in Germany, Karen Chukhadzhian will face Paddy Donovan in the final eliminator of the IBF welterweight title.

Chukhadzyan (26-3, 14 KO) will face Donovan (14-2, 11 KO) at SAP-Arena in Manheim.

Chukhadzhian is hoping to take the next step in his fight for the IBF crown after previously failing to do so Jaron Ennis.

Donovan also sees another crack in the IBF belt after losing a split decision to Lewis Crocker in September.

The 27-year-old Irishman suffered a second straight defeat to Crocker after a controversial disqualification six months earlier.

Rolando Romero was last seen in the ring defeating Ryan Garcia in the middle of Times Square in Novel York.

The Garcia vs. Romero fight was headlined by Ring Magazine card over 12 months ago.

Over the past year, “Rolly” has been involved in numerous public discussions about potential next fights, but so far, none of them have come to fruition.

He has also spoken out about retirement many times on social media.

Interview with the WBA welterweight world champion Professional boxing fans on behalf Betinia and talked about his time spent outside the ring.

“God doesn’t make mistakes, I shouldn’t fight.

“Mentally, emotionally and physically I just couldn’t fight.

“When I tried to force these fights, for some reason God just got in the way and I just couldn’t fight.

“If I had fought at any of those times I would have lost, I just know it.”

After a hard year, the champion believes he is now ready to return and defend his welterweight title for the first time.

After a career-best recent performance, Romero believes he can perform even better when he steps into the ring again.

“I’m ready to fight now, I’m the best version of myself I’ve ever seen.

“It’s amazing, I’m now the best version of myself in all aspects of my life.”

One fighter “Rolly” was linked to upon his return was the iconic Manny Pacquiao, who last saw action in July, defeating Mario Barrios in a majority draw.

“That was the end of him, they were begging me to fight, I wanted to fight Ryan.

“Me and Ryan had a rematch clause, we had the whole deal agreed and everything.

“Pacquiao kept asking for the fight and we negotiated for two months.

“He kept wanting more money even though he couldn’t sell what he asked for.

“The fight was blown and about a month and a half later the whole Floyd thing came out.

“They just wasted my time, took advantage of my clout.”

“Pac Man” is now set to return against Floyd Mayweather Jr in an iconic rematch of their historic first meeting in 2015, which the American won.

Romero’s return date and next opponent remain unknown, but some possible names include Jack Catterall, who became the mandatory number one contender for the WBA title after a dominant victory over Shakhram Giyasov.

Ryan Garcia may also be looking to make amends after their first fight, although he appears poised to defend his WBC title against Conor Benn after stating that the pair would fight on September 12 during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Over the past 12 months, Romero has repeatedly attacked WBO world champion Devin Haney, potentially setting the stage for a future unification fight.

Chris Billam-Smith will headline Zuffa Boxing’s inaugural UK appearance in his hometown of Bournemouth on Saturday against Canadian Ryan Rozicki.

Billam-Smith (21-2, 13 KO) will face Rozicki (21-1-1, 20 KO) at Bournemouth International Centre.

“CBS” (35) was already the holder of the WBO cruiserweight world title, defending twice before sending the belt to Zurdo Ramirez in a unification fight in 2024.

“The Gentleman” returned to winning ways after a unanimous decision victory over Brandon Glanton last April, and it looks like a victory here will put him closer to winning another world title.

Rozicki failed to win the WBC bridgeweight title in 2021 and was placed in a majority draw with Yamil Peralta for the vacant interim WBC cruiserweight title in 2024.

The 31-year-old was last sidelined in March, defeating Gerardo Mellado in two rounds, and is the number one contender to Noel Mikaelian’s WBC crown.
