Campbell wears considerably thick-lensed glasses when out of
competition. The Liverpool native seems to be heavily dependent on
them, putting them back on immediately after his fights. Campbell
recently revealed that his eyesight is poor and that his opponents
appear blurry to him until they get close.

While Campbell tried contact lenses when he was young, he was too
nervous to put them in. The
Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight eventually got
used to fighting without contact lenses and prefers it this way
now.

“My eyesight is really bad, but at the same time I love my
glasses,†Campbell told Ariel Helwani. “I would never change them…
I tried contacts when I was younger, but I was always too nervous;
I couldn't put them in. So, I got used to fighting without them and
I don't think I've ever gone back since. I've always preferred it
that way… Because of how big the UFC cage is, [my opponent] is
blurry and then once we get closer, it gets a little better.â€

Campbell (9-1) earned his UFC contract with a first-round technical
knockout win on
Dana White's Contender Series last year. He then suffered a
knockout loss to Danny Silva

UFC heavyweight prospect Anthony Wint isn't wasting time rising through the ranks in the promotion's most dangerous division.

Former NFL football player Anthony Wint is one of the best heavyweight prospects in UFC history, and he wasted little time making an impact in his debut. Less than two weeks after earning a UFC contract via Dana White's Contender Series, Wint submitted Terrance Chatman in his promotional debut at UFC Sacramento.

UFC 332 in Salt Lake City features a women's flyweight title headliner between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong. The fight came to fruition after UFC women's flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko suffered an injury and vacated the belt.

Since the Silva vs. Cong announcement, fight fans have labeled UFC 332 one of the worst major events in the promotion's history. Despite the lack of star power in the main event, UFC 332 will feature Wint's return in another intriguing heavyweight matchup.

Anthony Wint added to UFC 332 card with widely criticized headliner

As announced on Tuesday night's DWCS broadcast, Wint will fight Lucas Armand (6-0) at UFC 332 next month in Salt Lake City. Armand will make his UFC debut after he was eyed for a future DWCS event.

Wint earned a UFC contract by knocking out Matt Adams last month at the UFC Apex. Before his recent UFC success, Wint earned wins in Fury FC and Xtreme FC.

Wint made a name for himself as a professional football player before making the full-time transition to Mixed Martial Arts. After four successful seasons at Florida International, Wint signed with the New York Jets for the 2018 season as a backup linebacker.

UFC 332 also features the returns of Payton Talbott, Ateba Gautier, and King Green. If he's victorious at UFC 332, Wint could be on the verge of earning a Top 15 spot in the heavyweight division.

Dan Ige is set to make his bantamweight debut at Noche UFC.

Ige is set to take on David Martinez in an intriguing fight as the Hawaiian is getting a ranked opponent right away. However, the process to this point wasn't easy, as Ige didn't even think bantamweight was possible or something he wanted to do.

“To be completely honest, there was a time I told myself I would never consider it, and I thought I'd fight at lightweight before I fought at bantamweight,†Ige said on Just Scrap Radio on BJEPNN.com. “After my fight, I had some time off dealing with some injuries. A month after my fight, I was still at my fight-week weight. It got me thinking about bantamweight, and I talked to the people at the PI, my team, and the UFC, and it became a move for personal challenge and a business move.â€

After being told he could make 135lbs, he began the process of getting ready for the move. Although he is dropping weight, during this game, he broke all his speed and records at the PI, which gave him confidence to ask for David Martinez.

“They asked me what I want and if I want to go for the top right away,†Ige said. “You put someone in front of me, I am probably going to say yes. I told them anyway I'd fight anyone in or outside the rankings. The day after my test cut, they had some UFC bantamweight fights, and there was an unranked guy who won, and I said to Sean Shelby, ‘What do you think about this guy?' He said he wanted to get me someone ranked, and I brought up David Martinez and Noche, and they thought it was a great idea.â€

Dan Ige expects a ‘war' at Noche UFC

Although Dan Ige knows David Martinez is a tough opponent for his bantamweight debut at Noche UFC, he is looking forward to the bout. And he has full confidence he won't just be able to pull off the upset, but will get a stoppage win to send a statement to the bantamweight division.

“We will make it fun,†Ige said. “He moves a lot, he kicks a lot, he's very evasive, and has good timing. Just finding my traps and setting them up, I want him to feel my power, my intensity, my experience. I have every attribute to win this fight. My mindset is just to prepare for a three-round war, but I do believe I will finish him and get a ranking next to my name.â€

If Ige gets his hand raised, he knows he'll be in the title picture at bantamweight. Which, he said, was the goal, as he believes the change in weight class is for him to chase the title.

“It feels like a fresh slate; it feels like my UFC debut again. I have the drive to go out and get a title. I've been given so many opportunities and have fallen short, but now I have another opportunity to make it actually happen,†Ige concluded.
