Harlem Eubank returned to the Brighton Center after his latest loss and did as he pleased, scoring welterweight points against Josh Wagner on Friday.
Eubank (22-1, 9 KO) faced Jack Catterall in July in Manchester and lost for the first time, while Canadian Wagner (19-2, 10 KO) was last in action for six rounds in May, stopping Juvenal Herrera in a round in Colombia.
After the first few rounds where Eubank had the upper hand, the hosts started to turn the screws and the visitors struggled to score anything noteworthy.
The 31-year-old increased the pressure in the fourth quarter and Wagner simply had no answers to allow Eubank to exploit his move to win the next session.
The pattern was set, and although Eubank caught a few shots in the seventh and eighth periods, he weathered the storm, with Wagner fading in the closing rounds as the Brighton man cruised to the finish line to win.

Two scores of 100-90 and the third of 99-91 reflected Eubank’s dominance.
Eubank called for a fight against the winner of Saturday’s WBO welterweight clash between Brian Norman Jr. Devin Haney and IBF champion Lewis Crocker, who was ringside.

Roehrig dismisses Clavier
Lucas Roehrig won 78-72 in the cruiserweight fight against Brice Clavier.
Roehrig (7-0, 3 KO) defeated Clavier (13-7-1, 7 KO) in the fourth round with a body shot, but had to go through some challenging moments to secure the victory.

After eight rounds, Niall Brown (17-0, 6 KO) was content with a points victory over Pierre Rosadini (8-8-3).
Kieran Molloy (13-0, 7 KO) remained undefeated, defeating Zeuz Varguez Soberanis (11-6, 5 KO) in the welterweight division, and in the super featherweight division, Codie Smith (8-0-1) did the same against Franco Andres Cajal (7-6-1, 2 KO).
The only fighter to go six rounds was in the heavyweight division, where Harvey Dykes (7-0-1) secured a points victory over Viktar Chvarkou (6-29, 3 KO).
In a four-round fight, Yuvraj Karia (8-0, 4 KO) defeated Brandon Gallardo Vargas (3-11-1, 1 KO) on points in the bantamweight division.
In the welterweight division, Yones Baati (4-0, 3 KO) defeated Ezequiel Gregores (3-28) for the first time at a distance.
Debutant Saqib Mehmood (1-0) started his professional career with a points victory over Jayro Fernando Duran (15-42-1, 14 KO) in the lightweight division.

McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
McKean (24-2, 16 KO) had his career cut miniature after a last-round loss to Filip Hrgovic, followed by a brutal first-round loss to Moses Itauma.
The 35-year-old southpaw returned to winning ways with back-to-back stoppage victories.
Talivaa (8-2, 4 KO) last won the IBF Oceania-Orient title, defeating Faiga Opelu by first-round stoppage.
Undercard remaining
At cruiserweight, Luke Modini (13-0, 11 KO) will likely need distance to beat Peng Qu (17-2-1, 12 KO), while Riley Candy (8-1, 5 KO) could stop Nathan Watson (11-3, 3 KO) at super middleweight.
Vegas Larfield (13-1, 9 KO) can hand Shamal Ram Anuj (11-8, 8 KO) his fourth defeat in a row in a featherweight clash.
Heavyweight Nelson Asofa-Solomon (2-0, 2 KO) can secure a third straight knockout over debutant George Burgess, and Stevan Ivic (8-0-1, 2 KO) can do the same against Caleb Tialu (3-7, 3 KO), also a heavyweight.
Prospective super welterweight fighter Jack Javed (1-0) should overtake Lance McDonald (1-5-1, 1 KO).
