Devin Haney is in trouble on May 2, when Jose Ramirez plans to pick up a place where Ryan Garcia interrupted in Fresh York in April last year.
Garcia repeatedly dropped Haney in the destructive defeat. The authorities finally destroyed the Barclays Center loss from his record due to a failed drug test for his opponent. Garcia was marked twice for Ostarine, and the Fresh York Sports Committee suspended him for a year.
This ban will end a few weeks before Garcia and Haney, share the bill against Ramirez and Rolly Romero. They will take place in Saudi Arabia in October or November, if they both win.
Ramirez plans to put the channel in these works and take Haney to the first official defeat.
“Of course, I’m going to test the chin. It’s my job. Even if he had 31-0 with 31 knockouts, my task is still to test the chin,” said Ramirez.
“People forget that I am an Olympian from 2012. I will go there on May 2 and do what I have to do. But I know how much this fight means for me, the team and my family.
“I know when I get to 147, I will be much stronger and faster. I am healthier and I feel rejuvenated. I can’t wait to make a statement on May 2”
In relation to the differences between Haney and his last opponent, Arnold Barboz Jr., Ramirez added: “We’ll see. He is another opponent, so you can’t ask about it.
“Returning to the elderly days, the warrior lost with one warrior and then defeated the other warrior. You can’t say it about boxing. This is another division with another Jose Ramirez.”
He came to the conclusion: “I just can’t wait for May 2. I’m going to make a statement and that’s all I do. I’m focused on fighting, that’s all.”
If Haney does not look good in Ramirez’s fight or worse, he loses, Garcia may have a recent enemy for an autumn clash in Saudi Arabia. It all depends on Haney, because his impoverished performance raised the most questions.
“The Dream” grew and was considered one of the best pound fighters as pounds before fighting in Garcia. After losing, Haney clung to his place by default in the top ten P4P.
Moving up is also seen as a potential obstacle for Haney, who showed that there is no same power from delicate to super delicate. Now the former WBC champion goes on to be a welterweight, and the native of San Francisco can fight for influence.
If Ramirez pushed him, Turks Alalshikh may have a hard message for Haney after the Times Square event.
DAZN PPV will broadcast the Ring Tripleheader magazine with Teofimo Lopez vs. Barboza for the super delicate title WBO, along with Haney vs. Ramirez and Garcia vs. Romero.
