Did Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali treat themselves honestly?

This writer’s opinion about the two biggest heavyweight masters was Joe “Brown Bomber” Louis and Muhammad “The Greens” Ali.
After all, what they contributed to boxing, everyone lost the years of their boxing activity.
Starting from Louis, whose greatest achievement in boxing was the record defense of the titles. His last record was 66-3 with 52 knockouts. Born in Lafayette in Alabama, as Joe Louis Barrow, later he fought with Detroit, Michigan.
Louis had 54-4 as an amateur as a featherlight hefty weight, winning the Champions Tournament in Chicago and national Aau titles.
On July 4, 1934, Louis became a professional, winning his first 24 fights, 20 of which were by knockout. He would then be detained by the NBA world champion Max Schmeling, 48-7-4, from Germany.
On June 22, 1937, at Commiskey Park, Chicago, IL, Louis detained the world champion James “The Cinderella Man” J. Braddock, 50-25-7, had to leave the canvas in the first round to stop the master in 8 rounds. He claimed that he never considers himself a master until he defeated Schmeling.
In the fourth defense of Louis, Schmeling, 52-7-4, at the Yankee, Bronx, and Novel York stadium.
In June 1941, Louis had to come from behind on two cards of results, and even on the other to stop the featherlight heavyweight champion Billy “Pittsburgh Kid”, 58-9-1, in 13 rounds at Polo Grounds in Novel York. He did three defense, bringing a sum to 21 before entering the army.
On January 8, 1942, Louis enlisted to the American army. It would be inactive for almost 3 years. On June 19, 1946, he had a rematch with Conn, shooting a knockout in the 8th round at the Yankee stadium in Novel York.
Louis fought at 96 exhibitions for over two million soldiers and collected $ 100,000 for facilitate. His tax debt was approaching $ 500,000. In 1950, IRS 1950 began to accumulate interest each year.
Louis had to leave the pension to pay off the tax debt. IRS never considered the exhibitions he fought with.
Looking at Muhammad’s punishment, Ali for not entering the American army.
In March 1969, the Novel York boxing committee canceled the Ali’s license in September 1970. This was caused by a conviction for a crime or military crime or because of the refusal to introduce to the American army.
It cost years of inactivity until Oscar Bonaven fought after he received a license through the Novel York Commission in 1970.

Manny Pacquiao
“Fire, determination and willingness to work challenging is still there. I still like to lead the mountains. Not every warrior has such a feeling. This is a blessing because I have experienced so many great fights in my career and I am still here.
“For boxing fans around the world, thank you for accepting me again. I hope that on July 19 this fight will entertain everyone. Everyone here will work challenging in a training camp so that the fans are satisfied with July 19.
“Barrios is a kind of warrior who gives people good fights. Me and he will satisfy fans in the ring and that’s what I want.
“It meant a lot to me if I became the world champion again. Manny Pacquiao always surprises fans. This is my passion and it is very vital to me. I want everyone to be satisfied with this fight.
“My goal is to leave the legacy of boxing fans. I want to inspire the teenage generation who dreams of becoming a champion.
“On July 19, there will be a lot of action. There are many great fights on this card. I know what is capable of and I know that we can entertain fans.
“I was able to rest and it was good for me. Now I came back and I am excited that I can give fans a great fight. I know that Barrios is challenging to defend myself.
“For many years I have been, and even years in which I was not a box, I was still thinking about boxing. I even have a boxing gym in my house and always practiced. I really missed boxing.”
Mario Barrios
“I’m here, I’m ready and I’m not a master.
“All the other great fights that I prepared me for a moment. Defense of my title against legend and I couldn’t be more honored.
“In the face of Manny is something I have never imagined, and now he is here on one of the largest cards in the year. On July 19, it will be a box of boxing that you don’t want to miss.
“This is a great honor for a legend like Manna, to want to come back and fight for my title. This is my greatest fight so far and I am excited that I can take it.
“Come on July 19, I will have to face the legend opposite me. I have respect for him outside the ring. But inside the ring he is simply another man who is trying to take what is mine. I am a master for some reason and I will show it.
“I think I can do a lot, which I learned from fighting Gervont Davis. The way it closes the distance and works from speed and even size is similar. All my great fights really prepared me for the moment.
“I saw people who are heading from Manny at such press conferences since I was a child. He is not too sedate, except when he is in the ring. I know that he will bring him when we enter the ring.”

Jamaican boxing legend Mike McCallum died at the age of 68.
McCallum died on Saturday in Las Vegas, according to the Clark Coroner’s office, but no details were disclosed.
Known as “The Bodysnatcher”, McCallum was one of the most terrified boxing punchers during his career, which lasted in 1981–1997. He retired in 1997 with a record of 49-5-1, and then he was a successful coach in Las Vegas.
Born in Kingston in Jamaica, on December 7, 1956, McCallum represented Jamaica at the Summer Olympic Games in 1976. He turned to a professional in 1981 and won his first 32 fights, and 29 came through a knockout. McCallum became the first world -born world champion in 1984, won world titles in the junior medium weight, medium weight and lightweight, and was introduced to the International Gallery of Sław in boxes in 2003.
“It was with complete and complete sadness that I learned about the death of a three-time boxing master in Jamaica Michael McKenzie McCallum,” said Sport Minister Jamaica Olivia Grange. “I express my personal condolences to his mother, siblings and his children. On behalf of the Ministry of Sport I will take this opportunity to extend our sympathies to the family and friends of this legendary Jamaica.”
McCallum was worshiped for the brutal blow of the body, but he was also recognized as a highly qualified boxer with an amazing chin, as evidenced by the never knocked out in his 55 career. While McCallum wins over Julian Jackson, Donald Curry and McCrory, he was never able to fight the thunderous opponent, because Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler and Thomas Hearns did not decide to face him.
After winning the WBA Super Welter Wich, beating Sean Mannion in 1984, McCallum created six successful defense of the title, and all this comes. In 1988 he suffered his first loss in his career when he challenged the challenge of WBA Middle Wweight in 1988. But McCallum would ultimately won the free average title in the following year, beating Herola Graham because of a divided decision. Later he avenged a loss with Kalambay before he fought the companion of Hall of Fames James Toney divided in 1991 and lost his decision in the 1992 rematch.
McCallum won the title of world champion in the third weight class at the age of 37, when he defeated Jeff Harding in 1994. He would do one defense of the title before he lost three of the four four fights, and two of these losses came to Toney and Roy Jones Jr. After passing, McCallum was a lasting element in Las Vegas.
