Deontay Wilder caused a seismic shock when he reacted to the indifference of Francis Ngannou, who, according to Shelly Finkel, is not part of the plan.
Wilder shot at Ngannou after the former UFC champion once again opened at the start of boxing between the couple.
The “brown bomber” claims that he remains ready and willing to meet Ngannou in the ropes, despite the recent apparitions of the Finke manager, that every crossover battle will not materialize only in 2026.
In the sole message at World Boxing News, at the beginning of this year Finkel admitted: “Deontay Wilder will not have to face Francis Ngannou in 2025. This fight does not happen this year.
“The plan is that Deontay had another fight before the end of this year,” Finkel continued. “Then we will look for a great fight in 2026. We would look at the fight with Anthony Joshua or Usyk, something like that.”
But Wilder himself now destroyed the conversation, sending a message to Ngannou, rejecting all conversations about fear or withdrawal from the fight.
“Respect, but I have ten fingers,” Wilder said. “Without fear, no fold, no false. Always ready, always solid. Enter the ring and you will see what that means.”
Ngennou vs wilder?
Ngannou, who shocked the world of boxing when he dropped Tyson Fury in 2023, after which he suffered a destructive defeat because of Anthony Joshu, he still approaches the fight with Wilder.
The duel is a natural collision between the two most destructive KO Sports Sports artists.
However, from Finkel, confirming that Wilder will not stay back to the huge fight until 2026, because there is doubt as to whether the fight in Ngannou may be realistically staged in the near future, unless the plan has been significantly outlined to WBN.
Wilder’s last statement emphasizes his readiness to mix again with the best names after winning on Tyrrell Herndon in the summer.
The former WBC heavyweight master maintained that his power, reputation and willingness to commit are definitely intact after a knockout in the middle of the round.
However, Finkel said WBN another similar event to Herndon’s clash, with only a petite step, he will probably see a year for Wilder.
For now, fans are waiting for a decision to plan. Wilder spoke. Finkel spoke. And Ngannou is still chasing the start. But understanding is that Wilder needs more time.
Placing Ngannou in the factor of the next event of his rival would not be a bad idea to build a momentum, provided that the organizers do not expose the couple to any risk of loss.
