officer and being denied permission to board a flight. He was
admittedly drunk when he approached the airport desk. The former

intoxicated.

officer involved

Poirier recently issued an apology to the desk agents with whom he
got into an altercation. “The Diamond†has also asked his lawyer to
acquire the contact details of the police officer he threatened to
fight and called a racial slur.

Poirier now wants to contact the officer to let him know what a
great job he did. He admits that things could have taken a turn for
the worse if it hadn't been for the police officer's
professionalism. The former interim lightweight champion said on
“The Diary of a CEO†podcast:

“The desk agent might have seen I was intoxicated. It was like,
‘Nah, you can't get on this plane.' That might have what started
it. But I do want to apologize to those desk agents, whoever they
are. And the police, for having to put up with me. I actually asked
a lawyer in Atlanta that I've been working with if he can please
give me that officer's information, his address. I want to write
him a letter. His cell phone, if I can call him, just to tell him
how great of a job he did dealing with a person in that condition,
how professional he was. He's incredible… it could have been so
much worse.â€

losses

Vera (23-12) will be eager to return to winning ways against
Jourdain. “Chito†came up short in his championship bid against
Sean
O’Malley at UFC
299 back in 2024 and has since lost three more fights. His last
win came all the way back in 2023 against Pedro
Munhoz. Another defeat, which will extend Vera's losing streak
to five, could spell trouble for his future in the UFC.

Meanwhile, Jourdain (18-8) dropped down to bantamweight in 2024
following back-to-back losses at featherweight. “Air†has since won
three in a row, two of them via guillotine chokes. A win over Vera
could earn the Canadian a high-profile or top-ranked bantamweight
next.

While the location for UFC 331 hasn't been announced by the UFC,
the numbered event is rumored to be at Intuit Dome in Inglewood,
California.
