Rest in the room, Livingstone Bramble

Published

By: Sean Crose

I suppose this is one of those cases where you had to be there. Perhaps it was not the largest featherlight in history – although it was certainly very good. Perhaps he did not have the longest title – really just a few tiny years. However, Livingstone Brame, who died this weekend at the age of 64, was nothing but unforgettable. Nobody expected to win the featherlight WBA title in 1984, but this was what a countryman from St. Croix, stopping the bleeding master Ray Mancini, in 14. They both fought in a very close rematch the following year, but once again Brame won (this time on the cards of the judge).

Things became acidic for Bramble, when Edwina Rosario in Miami in Miami was forced to two rounds before their fight of 1986. It was the last time Bramek stood in the ring world champion. After losing the title belt, Rosario stimulating Bragble will never reach the status of the world championship again. However, this did not mean that the man could not be a entertaining ring practitioner. The truth was that Bramble was a good television. Regardless of whether he was entering the ring, holding a immense snake, trading in Mancini blows, and even becoming overturned by Rosario, the fight against Bramble Livingstone was entertaining.

While his career has fallen for decades, Brambble is doing well in the early 90s, engaging stimulating battles in programs such as Tuesday fights. Perhaps he was no longer a dominant warrior, but at that moment the man personified a good box – not a great box, but a good boxing, which was something that most of the former masters could not say long after their first number disappeared. Bramble, simply, was a boxer.

And although he is no longer with us, Brame left us with very memorable ring performances. I still remember how I watched the title of Mancini, as I watched Rosario two years later. He fought in a legally great era, but there was more than a quirk and animal snakes that distinguished Bragble. “You know,” said my dad after Bramble lost close to the early 1990s. “The guy is fine.” That’s true. He was also justified. Those of us who saw Bramble do not forget about him.

Rest in peace.

Refusal of victory, Searching for justice: Appeal Charly Suarez and a potential rematch with Emanuel Navarrete in Manila

Image: Denied Victory, Seeking Justice: Charly Suarez's Appeal and the Potential Rematch with Emanuel Navarrete in Manila

Promoter Bob Arum says that he wants to try to develop a rematch between the super feather wweight wweight WBO Emanuel Navarrete and Charly Suarez in Manila in the Philippines.

Lay the controversy

The employment of a rematch in Manila may make Suarez (18-1, 10 KO) content, but it still does not erase what happened last Saturday. The fans are bad that Navarrete (40-2-1, 32 KO) avoided defeat last Friday, when his fight with Suarez was detained in eighth place due to the cut. He went to results cards, and Navarrete won the narrow eight-round technical decision of the results 77-76, 78-75 and 77-76.

However, it was later established that the cut was caused by the impact of Suarez in the sixth. Suarez would win the fight through TKO from the eighth round if the correct ruling was issued. The commission expected to hear Suarez’s appeal about the overthrow of his loss on June 2. If his appeal is successful, the fight result can be changed to a lack of contact. It’s better than nothing, but it’s still not perfect for Suarez. He should have won.

“I am working on it and I do not know if I can do it, it’s October and the 50th anniversary of” Thrtla in Manila “. I would like to go back to the same building … and make this fight in Manila as a festival of the fight with Alia-Frazy, “said Bob Arum to Dan Rafael side About the potential preparation of the rematch between Emanuel Navarrete and Charly Suarez.

Down Navarrete?

Suarez Outhoust slowed down, sagging, And the deteriorating Navarrete in the fight at the Sun Arena in San Diego, California. Navarrete was in the best round in the first round, but then he quickly went out and took a penalty from Suarez in rounds from five to seven. After Navarrete suffered a cut in sixth place, he fought poorly, constantly destroying his left eye to wipe off blood and making many shots.

It’s not just a cut that caused him problems. It was Suarez’s energy and skills. He deleted and overtook the slower Navarrete. In the seventh round, fans could say that Navarrete was heading towards knockout defeat.

Turki Alalshikh touched the fight of Canelo Alvarez vs. Terenka Crawford until September 13. Depending on the best offer, the location will be one of five. Until now, potential locations are Las Vegas, Modern York and Los Angeles. Earlier, it was reportedly exhibited at the Allegiant stadium in Las Vegas. It is not clear what offer Turki wants at the Canelo vs. landing site. Crawford. Whoever lands will bend to host him.

Change of date

Mike Coppinger revealed The news that Turki moves Canelo-Crawford is fighting for a recent day. Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KO) will defend his unquestioned super-medium weight championships, which he just won on May 3 in a impoverished victory over William Scull.

Fans are largely indifferent to the clash from September 12 to 13. This is not a huge deal to be moved one day. We assume that none of these two aging fighters will be injured during a training camp that require postponement. These are not spring chickens we are talking about.

“It made a great fight with Canelo and Crawford. He is the one that everyone wants to see now,” said Amir Khan Little giant boxingwith a view of a real fight that fans want to see between Alvarez and David Benavidez.

“It’s two pounds for pounds of fighters. Who will be #1? Who is I having to say, because Canelo is a bigger guy, but Crawford is more skillful and is also mighty. I was in the ring with both guys. I did not succeed in great success with Crawford, but I was more successful with Canelo. I was probably in the fight against Canelo

Khan fought with Canelo a long time ago. It is difficult to imagine that he was successful against the Vintage version of the Mexican star. Even this version of Canelo would be a nightmare for Khan if he fought him in 2016.

“It is really tough to call. It’s a 50-50 fight, but it’s a good fight. They both look invincible and someone will be defeated. I’m on a bench,” said Khan as they were asked to choose Canelo and Crawford.

Sports value?

Most of the problems that people have about the fight against Canelo with 37-year-old junior medium weight Crawford (41-0, 31 KO) is that it is Artificial fightLack of ID, designed to create an advertisement, but without any sports value. Crawford is approaching 40 years, it will be inactive for over a year, he has never fought at the age of 168 and has no intention to stay in the division. If the box turns towards the news, how long it transforms into false, not sports?

Canelo resembled over 40 years elderly in his last fight, working on a 12-round decision on William Scull. Alvarez only offered 152 blows, landing 56. Crawford looked almost as bad, gaining a dubious 12-round decision on Israil Madrimov on August 3.

Buda seemed to act 60% of what was in his previous fight 13 months earlier, against Errol Spence in 2023. It shows you a disadvantage of what was happening when warriors take a year free between fights for four consecutive years. Their skills are erosion and aging. It is a pity that Turki did not make Canelo and Crawford both prove themselves against David Benavidez to determine their usefulness to what he calls as “Great fight”.

US fans are nervous when they find out that the Kickoff press conference for Canelo Alvarez vs. Terenka Crawford Fight will take place in June in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The fight will be staged in the USA, not Saudi Arabia, on September 13. Event organizers still hope that US fans will buy a huge number on PPV.

They may feel that they can afford to ignore US fans because of the huge base of Canelo fans in North America and newer fans of Crawford. Despite the press conference in Riyadh, the American media will cover this event in a huge number, informing fans what happens to the competition while gathering to their September 13.

Saudis have money to promote the fight of Canelo-Crawford in the USA, which will cause fans to overlook a press conference in Riyadh and potentially over conferences, if they continue to exhibit there.

Who is this sport for?

Some believe that the press conference begins in Riyadh to determine the priorities of financial profits. Saudi Arabia can earn at these events. However, the movement imagines the basic bases of Canelo and Crawford fans, which have no money or time to travel thousands of miles to take part in a press conference in Riyadh.

Turks Alalshikh had previously talked about reviving boxing to bring him back to the place where it was once. Staging conferences for American fights in Saudi Arabia may have the opposite effect, which makes a boxing event a more secondary niche sport. We have already seen as soon as a tiny VIP crowd participated in the Times Square card on May 2.

It was chosenAnd the event was very exclusive. Okay if You are one of the luxurious in Uber Or very successful people who will be chosen for these events, but what if you are not? Is this happening with our sport? How can it develop if it becomes more exclusive?

. Ring reports that these three cities are options for Canelo-Crawford

– Las Vegas
– Los Angeles
– Modern York
