IBCA officially recognized as a modern Indonesian MMA Federation

The International Federation of Martial Arts (IMMAF) is pleased to announce the successful operate of the modern Indonesian MMA Federation, which means a significant step forward in the development of amateur MMA in this country.

From 2019, the Committee for Sport of Martial Arts, known as the Committee of Olahraga Beladiri Indonesia (Kobi), was an official member of IMMAF in Indonesia. Kobi played a key role in establishing and promoting MMA sport in the country, ensuring compliance with international sport management standards. However, with a rapid MMA extension in Indonesia, a dedicated organization appeared to focus only on amateur development of athletes.

Recognizing this necessity, Kobi agreed to cooperate with Indonesia Beadiri Campuran Amatir (IBCA), also known as Indonesia mixed martial arts of amateur Indonesia. This agreement, formalized on November 30, 2023, allows IBCA to take responsibility for the development of amateur MMA talents, while Kobi still acts as a private promoter in a professional MMA space.

This strategic partnership aims to cultivate the modern generation of qualified and professional MMA amateur athletes in Indonesia, preparing them for success at both national and international levels. By establishing a clear path for amateur fighters, IBCA aims to strengthen the presence of Indonesia in the global MMA community and raise the standard of competition in this country.

IBCA Secretary General, Maraden Lumbantor, had the following:

“On behalf of Mr. Made Susil Anna, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to President Kerrith Brown of Immaf for welcoming IBCA as a member of IMMAF. We promise that in Indonesia and observe all IMMAF organizational regulations in our country.”
