Keith Thurman returns to Brock Jarvis

Published

By: Sean Crose

A lot can change within a decade. Ten years ago, the world of struggle was close to the upcoming (some, as they would say tardy) Floyd Mayweather – Super Fight Manny Pacquiao, which will go down in May. Now, a decade later, both Mayweather and Pacquiao have long been retired. Another shiny star from that era will return to the ring on Wednesday in Australia. In the case of 30-1 former welterweight titles, Keith Thurman, he will return after three years of absence to face the little-known 22-1 Brock Jarvis in the planned 10th round in Aussa, the homeland of Jarvis.

Thurman, in his splendor, was an attraction. A hardly striking, intelligent and disciplined warrior, native Floridian was both popular and respected. His colorful personality made the man captivating beyond the ring. Regardless of whether he put on a beard and ponytail or played wooden in a local park, Thurman was undoubtedly one of the more fascinating fighters in the industry. Indeed, the only man who ever beat Thurman was the legendary Pacquiao in his last great performance. Suffice it to say that the fight was very close as long as the last bell rang and Pacquiao went away with winning the decision.

Thurman fought only once since losing to Pacquiao and it was a performance in 2022 against Mario Barrios. Thurman won his thighs tonight, but he has not fought since then. In fact, Thurman was a part -time warrior for most of his career, a great athlete forever suffered by injuries. It was so bad for Thurman and it’s a pity for fighting fans. However, if it impresses Jarvis, the possibilities can be presented for the former Hotshot in welterweight. For example, there is a potential raucous fight with Tim Tiszu. First of all, Thurman must pass by Jarvis and avoid injuries.

As for Jarvis, the 27 -year -old is now looking at a chance for his whole life. Victory over the venerable Thurman will certainly place his name on the map. And at the age of 36 and inactive, or able to get livid in Australia. What’s more, all Jarvis’s 22 wins brought a knockout, so at least the guy knows what it is like to end the things earlier. Despite this, Keith Thurman is still older and less lively Keith Thurman … a man who should never be disregarded.

Knock Hat leads to SLAP: Teofimo Lopez and Arnold Barboza Jr. They are involved in a brutal fight before the fight

Image: Hat Knock Leads to Slap: Teofimo Lopez and Arnold Barboza Jr. Engage in Violent Pre-Fight Scuffle

Teofimo Lopez said that he has no choice but to hit Arnold Barboza Jr. During yesterday’s press conference after he threw off his head hat from his head during their forehead in Los Angeles. Teofimo (21-1, 13 KO) Master WBO Delicate Diverter hit Barboza Jr. (32-0, 11 KO) with the left hand, causing a tiny fight below the stage.

Barboz Jr. He had to be stopped from rush to Teofimo to throw blows. He looked incensed. It was his fault, however, that he caused this incident, rejecting Lopez’s hat. It is not clear what he told Arnold to catch him enough to knock out the hat, but it can be the frustration of three years waiting for this opportunity to fight him.

“All rights”

“This is according to the law. You don’t touch anyone. He touched my hat and I received all the rights – said Teofimo Lopez to mediaExplaining why he hit Arnold Barboza Jr. during yesterday’s face in Los Angeles.

During a press conference, two warriors got into talking in this and back, using curses and in principle taking over everything. Brooklyn, Fresh York, Teofimo is his element, slipping in calling his playground and it seemed that he really had a good time. For him it was like a flashback on his younger days in Brooklyn, calling for people.

What will be captivating is the way other press conferences and take place from Teo and Barboza Jr. Will they be able to do it without attacking? I am simply surprised that Arnold did not reach Teofimo yesterday because he tried to tear himself from staying to Lopez to throw blows. Teo left, he would be ready to fight for fists.

Even without hitting, a press conference was a success, and all warriors played a role in the interest of Fatal Fury Event on May 2.

They can’t ignore the tank: Davis’s talent shines despite the P4P drop

Image: Is Gervonta Davis 'That Guy'? Malignaggi Questions Tank's Legacy After Struggling Against Lamont Roach"

The draw of Gervonta Davis against Lamont Roach this month caused him to be pulled from the list of 10 pounds per pound. The fans are in the arms, seeing that the “box of boxing” Tank Davis (30-0-1, 28 KO) fell from the list of pounds for pounds when he was not beaten yet.

The list should be repaired. How is dropped from the Tank Davis list, while the fighters who have recently been beaten, Artur Beterbiev AND Devin HaneyWill it still remain on the list of 10 pounds per pound? Haney was beaten to the pulp by Ryan Garcia in April last year and should not be near the top ten after this attempt at the Barclays Center. Fans saw what happened.

An updated list of 10 pounds per pounds of the ring

  1. Olkesandr Usyk
  2. Nayya Inoue
  3. Terenca Crawford
  4. Dmitriry Bivol
  5. Artur Beterbiev
  6. Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez
  7. Canelo Alvarez
  8. Junto dug
  9. Devin Haney
  10. David Benavidez

Canelo Alvarez It does not belong to the list, because he has chosen his opposition over the past three years. He failed to fight David Benavidez, who looks like ordinary, elderly -fashioned grabbing of fear.

40 -year -old Beterbiev lost his last fight with Dmitry Bivol on February 22, and many people think that they deserved to lose the first match on October 12 last year. These should be two losses for Artur. Why is it still in the top ten 10 pounds per pound after these performances? Losing from Bivol is sufficient that Beterbaiev is not included.

Haney and Nayya Inoue and Junto should be out of the list. These guys did not do enough in terms of solid victories about reliable talents at a high level to be on the Pund-Za-Funt list. WBC Bantamweight Champion Nakratani (30-0 23 KO) is a good warrior, but whoever he defeated to be included in the pounds list for pounds? His best win in his career is probably Andrew Moloney, who has already lost to Joshua Franco twice.

My list

  1. Olkesandr Usyk
  2. Ji Opea
  3. Daniel Dubois
  4. Terenca Crawford
  5. Teofimo Lopez
  6. Janibek Alikhakhanuly
  7. Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez
  8. Gary Antuanne Russell
  9. Gervonta Davis
  10. David Benavidez

Romero says that Ryan Garcia wants to be a model, not a master

Image: Romero Says Ryan Garcia Wants to Be a Model, Not a Champion

Rolando “Rolly” Romero says that he will apply a basic approach to defeat Ryan Garcia in their welterweight headliner on May 2 at Times Square, Up-to-date York. ROLly (16-2, 13 KO) states that he will just come out and “Hit him in the face.” That’s all it will take.

Romero says that Ryan (24-1, 20 KO) simply “wants to be a model” and is not interested in being a master. He indicates that Garcia has never won the title of the world. So this is a sign that it is not as good as he believes.

Rolly’s rage

Ryan worked Rolly, saying that it would be an basic fight for him and he would break him on May 2. Perhaps the same type of shots may land as Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz last year, when he knocked out Rolly.

“I don’t think he evolves as a warrior. Does the same thing – said Romero Ring magazineResponding to the saying that Ryan Garcia said that he had not evolved as a warrior since the sparring session many years ago.

As you can see, Rolly is still sensitive to Ryan and coach Abel Sanchez, who say he is in stagnation and has not evolved as a warrior since their sparring session.

Indeed, Romero still uses the same style Brawling, Mad Man, which he had when he first turned to a professional nine years ago in 2016. This is what was knocked out in her fights with Isaac Cruz and Gervont Davis. Rolly is not ashamed of him that he is not evolving. It works for him and it wouldn’t make sense to try to box.

Ismael Barroso would stop him in the fight in 2023, if not for Judge Tony Weeks, stopping the fight from blue to give him the ninth round. It was a very dubious knockout.

Romero’s truth

“I got it far away, but it didn’t work for me. When I paired it, I only boxed for three years, “Rolando continued his sparring from Kingry a long time ago. “I started boxing at the age of 17. Multi-national. He started boxing at the fifth. Damn, it took him to evolve a bit.

“I am impressed, but he was still not a champion. The only time he had the opportunity to become a champion, he was against Gervont, but instead of trying to sacrifice an additional pound to do 135, he [Garcia] He decided not.

“With Devin, we clearly know that he has not tried and does not want to be a champion. I want to be a model. The only thing that interests me is Ryan Garcia at the moment, “Rolly said.
