George Foreman: 1949-2025 | Boxinginsider.com Promotions

One of the greatest weighty weight of all time died. George Foreman, who became as known as his grills as his stunning second career in boxing, was one of a kind. “Our hearts are broken,” said Foreman’s estate in a statement in social media on Friday evening. “With deep sadness we announce the departure of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr., who calmly left on March 21, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. A pious preacher, devoted husband, loving father and proud and great -grandfather, lived with life marked by different faith, humility and cell.”
He is not a hyperbola to claim that Foreman led an extraordinary life, moving from heel to one of the most believing characters of pop culture in America and leaving an indelible mark in boxing sports. “Humanitarian, Olympian and two -time heavyweight master of the world”, he continued the statement – “he was deeply respected – strength for the good, man of discipline, beliefs and as a defender of his heritage, tirelessly to keep his good name – for his family.”
After winning the gold medal at the 1968 Olympic Games, Foreman became one of the most cruel strokes in the heavyweight division. In 1973, he was ready to become a heavyweight champion from Houston, which he achieved, repeatedly abandoning the defending master Joe Frazier six times in two rounds before the fight. However, less than three years later the situation changed to worse for Foreman, because former world champion Muhammad Ali stunned the world, throwing Foreman and taking his crown in Zaire.
Surprisingly, Foreman regained the championship in weighty weight – full twenty years after he lost him from Ali. Foreman’s return probably began when he had a deep religious experience, which permanently changed his life. Becoming a ordained minister, Foreman returned to boxing in 1987 to earn money for his parish. It was then seen by many as a joke. At that moment Foreman was fat and bald, looking completely different than the intimidating giant he was once. Foreman recently laughed when in 1994 he knocked out the defense of IBF heavyweight titles and WBA Michael Moore, full two decades after losing the championship with Ali.
Foreman continued the fight until 1997. At that time, he was seen more as a ubiquitous spokesman for a celebrity and a grill than a warrior. Indeed, the money earned from George Foreman Grills reportedly made him the richest athlete in the world – even exceeding the NBA and King Sneaker Michael Jordan. After his death, George Foremeen left the world of boxing with a dazzling, positive narrative that would never happen again. “We are grateful for pouring love prayers and we kindly ask for privacy because we worship the extraordinary life of a man to call our own,” said Foreman’s estate.
Rest in peace, Large George.

Cambosos Jr denies Jake Wyllie to win the title of world champion

George Cambosos JR secured another world championship title after surviving a fierce test with a unanimous victory of points over the brave compatriot Jake Wyllie in the epic superlapeur in Sydney.
Difficult Hiting Wyllie threatened to break up the long-awaited return to Cambosos, before the judges admitted the former united master of world delicate with Bout 117-111, 117-111, 115-113 at QDOS Arena on Saturday evening.
For the first time, approaching the 140-pound division, the brave ancient Cambosos to become a global champion of two weighted, he looked solemn when he was cut over the eye in the ninth round.
But ultimately he turned out to be too skillful against the fearless opponent who took the fight only after a five -day termination of the planned opponent of Cambosos, the Indonesian senator Daud Yordan, withdrew on the basis of medical.
“Sydney, we gave you a good war,” said Cambosos. “He is a tough kid.
“At the beginning I felt great, the first four rounds – unbelievable, pointed, moving, and then a nice tiny clash and began to come.
“I would love to put him away. He was fully prepared, the actual 140-Funt Australian champion. That’s why he got his shot, so for that.
“But victory is a victory and I won quite well in points.”
The victory for Cambosos established the likely rupture of the world championship in the unbeaten King of Super Lightweight in IBF Richardson Hitchins.
“Let’s do it. If this is a fight, I’m inside,” said Cambosos to the promoter Ringoroom Eddie Hearn.
“I am a warrior, I think the best of the best and you say that Hitchens is your best player, well, let him fight me to my fingers. Let’s go.”
Hearn properly promised Cambosos for one reservation.
“If this cut is healed, we have the date of the end of June and this is the date. It must be ready for this date,” he said.
“If so, we are ready to go forward so that George Cambosos will fight for the world championships in America to try to become the world champion with two divisions, and I think he deserves it.”
But at the end there was only mutual respect and a sultry hug between the couple, because Cambosos lived to fight the next day, and Wyllie devoted himself as a force you should take into account.
“Six days ago this program was threatened when your Yordan withdrew. This Jake man came over,” said Hearn.
“Tonight is that George Cambosos is fighting for the title of world champion, but also applies to the novel Australian boxing star, which was born in Jake Wyllie.
“He has a huge future ahead of him.”
Amazingly, Wyllie bought tickets to watch Saturday night before Cambosos offered 24-year-old to his own real “Rocky Shot” after Yord’s overdue withdrawal.
Queenslander won 16 of his 17 professional fights, 15 by knockout, but Cambosos insisted that there was no chance.
However, the weaker fought with a scorching favorite, sometimes mocking Cambosos.
Wyllie opened Cambosos in the ninth place with a bulky law, a former world champion, cautious caution on the wind when the blood sailed from cutting above his eye.
The judge warned both fighters after they replaced the bell by the bell at the end of the 10th round.

Script Symphtia OPTETIA: game card game to deviate criticism

Jai OPTETIA seemed bitter on Saturday, talking about her inability to unite against WBA and Master WBO Cruiser Wweight Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez.
OPTETAI (27-0, 21 KO) says that he defends his IBF belt against Claudio Squeo “Be busy” For the next fight on May 13 at Dazn at the Gold Coast Convention Center, Broadbeach. What a terrible fight.
Excretes rejected
Unfortunately, many fans do not care about what will pronounce it about why he is fighting another opponent of a lower level, because he has already fought too many during his ten -year professional career. They see a kind of fighters, and Australian Odetaa constantly fights and ignores his explanations.
It doesn’t matter what Jai uses the excuses to try whitewash Why his CV is filled with tomato cans from top to bottom. Fans don’t listen to him.
Ramirez (47-1, 30 KO) is a star in the USA and has many different fighters with whom he can face in the United States that Americans want to see. Opetoa is unknown to us, and one of the reasons is his terrible CV. Zurdo doesn’t need Jai. Is one -sided. Ramirez has a lot of options to earn an absolute fortune against these warriors:
- David Benavidez
- Dmitriry Bivol
- Artur Beterbiev
- Canelo Alvarez
- Terenca Crawford
Victim card
“Be busy. I am chasing these uniform fights, but this one [Claudio Squeo] This is the next one I got. I am busy. It is on my road, so I have to separate it, but I returned to work – said Jai Odetaa to Dazn Boxing, discussing what his goals are and what he has before him in the next defense of the title of his belt IBF Cruiseight against May 14 Claudio Squeo.
“I chased these fights. Unification fights are everything I am asking for,” Otetai continued when he was asked about his desire to face WBA and WBO Cruiser champion in weight, Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez. “Thanks to Zurdo, I was chasing this bad fight. This fight is uncomplicated to do. I don’t know what else I can do, but we’re ready. We’re ready; we’ll be ready, so let’s take it. We’re wasting time.”
It does not matter, which justifies that OPETAI is cooking to justify its frail, inflated CV. Fans go through what they see, and what they see with him is this guy did not fight anyone except the aged, past 39-year-old 39-year-old Miris Bliedis during his career. Unfortunately, Jai didn’t even look good on him.
It’s too behind schedule now. In order for Otetaia to become sold overnight, it would have to fight six times a year, just like Gennadiy Golovkin and followed the killers from heavyweight. It won’t happen. He will fight the types of Squeo and Jake Massey, wondering why Zurdo Ramirez ignores him. Jai just doesn’t understand it.
