Fabio Wardley has issued a stern warning to Daniel Dubois ahead of his highly anticipated world heavyweight title fight on Saturday.

Wardley makes his first defense of his WBO crown against British rival Dubois at the Co-op Live Arena, live on DAZN.

Both pairs have a knockout rate of 95% and few expected their fight to last as long as it did.

The undefeated player from Ipswich promised that he would give his rival the third defeat in his career.

“By knockout,” the 31-year-old said during Thursday’s meeting last press conference.

“I’m going to approach it the same way I approach all my fights.

“Providing fans with entertainment, value for money and ultimately winning.

“He’s knocked out.

“I’ve done it to 95% of my opponents and for me he’s just next on the list.

“I’m getting him out of there.

“It will end.

“He will be cleansed.

– I’m going to immaculate him up.

Both fighters had frosty fight week preparations, with Dubois shouting out his rival at Thursday’s final press conference after Wardley stated earlier this week that if he didn’t fight, he would be working as a binman.

The 28-year-old, who is also projected to win by knockout, looks to be a two-time world heavyweight champion.

The former IBF titlist fought for the undisputed crown after a fifth-round defeat to Oleksandr Usyk last August.

Wardley was promoted from interim to full WBO champion after Usyk vacated the WBO title.

Wardley is a slight favorite in the bookmakers and in October he scored the biggest victory of his career, stopping former world champion Joseph Parker in the 11th round.

The pair will come face to face for the last time at the weigh-ins at Bowlers in Manchester on Friday at 6pm BST.

WBC cruiserweight world champion Noel Mikaelian accepted Tyson Fury’s invitation to fight Tommy Fury, but on one condition.

Fury called on Mikaelian to fight his younger brother after Saturday’s victory over Eddie Hall.

“Tommy is a real fighter,” he said IFLTV.

“I’d like [WBC president] Mauricio Sulaiman to place him in the top 15 in the lithe heavyweight or cruiserweight division.

“I think Tommy would put up a good fight against Noel Mikaelian.

“I think Tommy has the potential to beat him.

“Tommy comes from the Fury family. Massive name, many fans.

“He earned a top-15 ranking by beating Jake Paul and should be able to do that again.

“I think there might be a world title opportunity for Tommy next.”

The Armenian regained the WBC title with a unanimous decision win over Badou Jack in a rematch in December after losing the belt to the Swede seven months earlier.

Mikaelian was ordered to defend his belt against the unified WBA and WBO champion, David Benavidezbut he insists that he would be willing to face “TNT” if his older brother agreed to face him later.

“Tyson Fury, the gypsy king,” the 35-year-old said in a video published by the website Ring Magazine.

“If your brother wants a title fight, I’m ready for it.

“I might do it next if Mauricio gives me a voluntary defense because I haven’t heard anything from the other team I was supposed to fight.

“But only if you promise to fight me next.”

Two-time world heavyweight champion Fury teased a statement from Zuffa Boxing CEO Dana White after attending UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on Sunday.

White, who claimed he was promoting the Morecambe man’s long-awaited showdown with Anthony Joshua, said he would announce details of his links with the “Gypsy King” soon.

However, Fury’s manager Spencer Brown rejected such suggestions 37-year-old will sign with Zuffa, insisting he remain with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions.

“He didn’t sign a contract with Zuffa Boxing,” he said Gareth Davies.

“It was all an illusion.

“He was invited to the fight weekend to go to the White House and meet with [US] President [Donald Trump].

“[Saudi Arabian boxing chief] Turki Alalshikh did everything for him.

“It’s that uncomplicated.

“There is no contract signed.

“Frank Warren is still his promoter, but Turki is underwriting his fights.”

Fury will most likely return in August and face “AJ” in November.

Joshua will fight on July 25 in Saudi Arabia, which will be his first fight since knocking out Jake Paul in December.

Frank Warren’s Queensberry team is promoting the Garner vs Magnesi fight, and the fight is broadcast live worldwide on DAZN.

Garner (19-0, 10 KO) dreams of returning home to the stadium of his beloved Southampton football club, knowing that a victory over the Italian will give him a chance to fight WBC world champion, O’Shaquie Foster.

The 28-year-old has previously won the British, Commonwealth and European crowns and defended the WBC International title four times.
