David Benavidez is looking forward to his next fight with Ben Whittaker
David Benavidez admits that he would enjoy a future fight at Wembley Stadium and mentioned Ben Whittaker as a potential opponent.
Whittaker is ranked ninth in the WBC rankings as he chases airy heavyweight world champion Benavidez, who defends his crown against Antoni Yarde November 22 in Riyad.
“The Mexican Monster” has revealed his desire to fight in the UK to former super middleweight world champion Carl Froch and believes Whittaker could match him, but admits “The Surgeon” requires more experience having only had 10 professional fights.
“I hope one day I can fight someone,” the 28-year-old said Froch About the fight.
“Maybe me and Ben Whittaker.
“I think he is a good player, but he is still too green for now.
“He is a good player, but he needs more experience.
“But hopefully we can achieve that in the future.
“Fighting at Wembley Stadium is one of my dreams.
“The crowd and the energy there is just amazing.”
Whittaker will return to the ring on November 29 in Birmingham, where he will fight for the WBC Silver airy heavyweight title against Benjamin Gavazi.
Benavidez was elevated to full WBC champion in April after Dmitry Bivol decided to pursue the belt.
Yarde is looking to win the world title at his third attempt after previously failing to beat Artur Beterbiev and Sergei Kovalev, and the Phoenix fighter insists he has plenty of respect for the Londoner.
“I have a lot of respect for Anthony Yarde,” he added.
“I have been watching him for a long time, even before he fought Sergei Kovalev.
“He has good defense, he has good counter-attacks.
“I’ve been watching him for a while.
“He was there with some mighty players, Artur Beterbiev, Sergey Kovalev, but he didn’t make it.
“But despite this, he is a great fighter with a huge heart.
“He knows his back is against the wall, that this is his last time fighting for the world title, so he will come to the field extremely ready, but that excites me.”

Jaron Ennis is the bookmakers’ main favorite to defeat Xander Zayas in their highly anticipated world title clash on Saturday in Brooklyn.
Ennis challenges Zayas for the WBO and WBA super welterweight belts at the Barclays Center live on DAZN pay-per-view.

On Wednesday, Lewis Crocker heads to Australia to defend his IBF welterweight world title against Liam Paro for the first time.
Crocker will face Paro at the Pat Rafter Arena in Queensland, live on DAZN in the UK and Kayo Sports in Australia.
Crocker (22-0, 11 KO) became world champion in September, defeating Paddy Donovan twice before winning the rematch by split decision.
Man from Belfast recorded his second victory over Donovan after the first victory in March last year, and his rival was disqualified for hitting him after the bell.
Paro (27-1, 16 KO) is trying to become a world champion in two weight categories, having previously reigned in the super-lightweight division.
The 30-year-old won the title with a unanimous decision victory over Subriel Matias in Puerto Rico before winning the belt in his first defense against Richardson Hitchins.
The Australian has since won twice, overtaking David Papot in his last appearance in September.
McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
