Ryan Garcia Blasts Gervonta Davis, blames “Mentality of one foot” for impoverished root performance
Published

Ryan Garcia claims that the impoverished performance of Gervonta Davis against Lamont Roach last Saturday evening was the result of his planning for retirement and did not focus mentally on how challenging he must be against the motivated warrior.
The lithe champion WBA Tank escaped with a 12-round majority, but many fans thought he lost. Ryan believes that he should have gained knocking down in the ninth round when Davis (30-0-1, 28 KO) knee. He blamed it with a hair grease that got into his eyes.
One foot
Garcia says that if Gervonta escapes with his knee without taking a point, other warriors will do the same and blame it for some physical problem. It will “kill the rush” of their opponent and can go back to the fight.
Ryan does not buy a technical problem, which allegedly prevented the Recent York committee before reviewing the ninth round without calling, when Tank knelt. Indicates that the replay has been shown in the arena.
“This happens when you have one foot in one foot [into retirement] Before entering the ring – said Ryan Garcia IFL TV At the last Saturday night of Gervont Davis vs. Lamont Roach Fight on Brooklyn. “To reach the third or fourth equipment you will need, especially when you are this guy, this other guy will want him ten times more.”
Tank said that entering the fight, that he would retire in three fights. In particular, he chose Roach, not someone from a department of 135 pounds. The fans saw it as Davis on the retirement route, choosing the beating of the opposition to make sure he will leave the game without losing.
“So when one foot is available, you will enter the ring and you will have the moment when you know that you will have to accelerate it and simply will not come. I think that happened, “Garcia continued why Tank fought Roach.
Davis would have problems with Roach, even if he had not planned to retire. He only fights in the grooves and a guy who is to order for Roach, who is wise. He studied Davis’ fights and understood that he was someone he could act. That’s what he did.
Refusal
“100%, which should be considered to be knocking [in the ninth]. I like Tank Davis, but these are rules. You can’t have such a knee. He knew about it. He says no, but he did it. In addition, there is no way to have technical problems in hell. They showed a replay in the arena. There is no way to have technical problems.
“I think that they have to do something about it because it encourages other boxers:” I intend to die when something bothers me. I hurt my hand a little. I hurt my elbow a little. Do a little *** and go back to the fight. When you kill the rush of a second guy, come back and fight. They have to do something, or you will do many boxers strange *** ” – said Garcia.

Fighter classes: Inoue, Canelo, Lopez Pass; One boxer gets F-

Last weekend in Boxing was emphasized by three enormous cards – Friday at Modern York Times Square; Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; And Sunday in Las Vegas. There were six fights for the title and two for the undisputed championship. However, not all warriors acted as expected.
Ryan Garcia (24-2-1 NC, 20 KO), fighting for the first time since his year-round suspension for a positive testing for the forbidden substance in April last year, lost his unanimous decision about Rolando “Rolly” Romero in the Friday main event. Garcia landed 66 blows, not connecting in over nine attempts in all 12 rounds. The competition concerned the empty “ordinary” welterweight title.
Earlier that night, Teofimo Lopez (22-1, 13 KO) defended his semi-edited weight WBO with a dominant performance against Arnold Barboz Jr. (32-1, 11 KO). Lopez looked like his aged self in Modern York, and his speed and excellent leg work were too high for Barboza to overcome.
The unquestioned master of lightweight Devin Haney (32-0-1 NC, 15 KO) made a unanimous decision about the former Jose Ramirez welterweight title owner (29-3, 18 KO). Haney landed only 70 blows in 12 rounds, but Ramirez was worse, he landed 40. In six rounds Ramirez only two blows landed.
On Saturday, Canelo Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 KO) defeated William Scull (23-1, 9 KO) by a unanimous decision to regain the unquestionable championships of super medium weight. Both fighters merged with the landing of 111 stamps (56 for Canelo, 55 for SCULL). Both of them also joined to throw 445 blows, which is the smallest attempt in a 12-round fight since Compubox began to follow the Stat 40 years ago.
Things improved on Sunday. The undisputed junior champion of Nayy Inoue (30-0, 27 KO) and President Ramon Cardenas (26-2, 14 KO) placed one of the best fights of the year. Inoue fell in round 2, but he recovered to stop Cardenas in the eighth round. Inoue landed 176 blows in battle. To compare, Canelo, Garcia and Haney landed 182 stamps together.
In the Co-Main event, Rafael Espinosis (27-0, 23 KO) defended his title Pen-Piór in the seventh round of Edward Vazquez (17-3, 4 Kos). It was another flawless performance of the highest featherweight master in boxing history (6 feet-1).
Andreas Hale looks at the best warriors to compete this weekend and evaluates his performances.
Friday report card
Teofimo Lopez: B
In the first of the triple fights Times Square saw that Lopez was thoroughly deleted previously undeniable Barboza. The “takeover” was better than Barboza in every aspect of the game and was the only warrior in Modern York who understood the allocation of entertainment while working on victory. He did not approach Barbozy, but he tried to make this program as best as possible. When he is chosen, Lopez is easily one of the most complete fighters in the world. Could he bear a better chance of spending barbose featherlight? Radiant. But he did the work against the top of the rival, and the winnings are the most crucial.
Devin Haney: D+
Haney won the fight against Ramirez, but he didn’t do much to erase the memories of fans who remember that he was plundered by Garcia’s left hooks last year. He fought as if he had the persistent effects of Garcia’s beating, the ring was constantly circulating and throwing 229 blows disappointing. Although Haney is talented, it was a performance that he should forget sooner than later. It is physically too good for this. But if he does not believe in himself, his performances will continue to suffer and subject to public control.
Rolando “Rolly” Romero: C
The fight, which seemed that she would not need the involvement of judges, ended in distance. But Romero, who has never been known for his defensive bravery, deserves to be recognized as a completely neutralizing the Garcia’s left hook. He also changed the fight route, putting off Garcia with a double left hook in the second round. It was not an electrifying fight against the imagination, but Rolly caused stern nervousness, disturbed the plans of the Garcii-Haney rematch and put himself a stern fight in the next case.
Ryan Garcia: f

Like Ryan Garcia suffered a defeat at Times Square
Ryan Garcia is easily beaten by Rolando Romero to leave hope for Devin Haney’s rematch in Tatters.
Simply put, Garcia blew it up. With so many questions after his unsuccessful drug test transformed a brilliant decision against Haney into a lack of failure, Garcia had a chance to buy back and prove that Peds did not support him last year. Instead, he was flat and lethargy and allowed Ostrovort to put it on canvas and an advantage. No respect for Romero, but Garcia had a perfect opponent with whom you can provide fireworks. Instead, it stood out when the lights were the brightest. He did nothing to prove that he should face Haney in a rematch. His future as a star is threatened if he does not find a way to reverse her.
Saturday report card
Canelo Alvarez: D.
Canelo did not get f because his opponent was not interested in trying to win. Despite this, throwing fatal 152 blows in a 12-round fight, like Canelo, is unforgivable. He may rightly blame Scull for not involved, but must accept responsibility for very little possibilities – especially when it was clear that SCULL cannot hurt him. We have not seen a Vintage Canelo performance for a long time. I hope that he ends with his September fight against Terenka Crawford.
William Scull: F-
It was a disgusting performance of Scull in his biggest fight in his career. Few knew who they were going in the fight against Canelo, and now everyone will want to forget about his name after the performance in which you do not want to get involved. Between his 12 dance rounds and the occasional complaint that Canelo’s blows were low – although they were clearly above the belt line – Scull made himself a negative description. If we are lucky, we won’t see him again.
Sunday report card
Rafael espinosis: r+
1:47
Rafael Espinosis dominates Edward Vazquez from TKO to stop the belt
Rafael Espinosis confirms too much to Edward Vazquez because he earns TKO in the seventh round to keep his title WBO Feather Wweight.
Espinosis has done everything in his power to prove that Sunday in Las Vegas will be a different experience than what happened on Friday at Times Square and Saturday in Saudi Arabia. He set a crazy pace with a resistant Vazquez, collecting points, using its significant height and achieving the advantage. In the third round he threw more blows than Canelo, Haney and Garcia joined in their 12-rounds. Espinosis negates his physical advantages by fighting inside, but he is undoubtedly an electrifying warrior to watch.
Naola Inunao: A
Inoue saved boxing from a terribly disappointing weekend, providing an unforgettable fight full of drama and emotions towards Ramon Cardenas. Inoue had sufficient susceptibility to cause tension when he was dropped in the second round, and then raised the pressure to ensure a cruel finish in the eighth round. Inoue is not only one of the best pound fighters in boxing, he is one of the most electrifying.
Ramon Cardenas: B
It is often petty to say that a warrior can win, even when he loses, but that’s exactly what Cardenas did in his electrifying duel with Inoue. Unlike most other pages B this weekend, Cardenas won. Although he would eventually be overwhelmed by Inoue’s power and combination, he became the second warrior who put the Japanese superstar on canvas and for a moment the world asks if he would be able to cause great nervousness. Even when it seemed that it would consist, Cardenas refused to withdraw and came out swinging. Nobody gained more up-to-date boxes in boxing than Cardenas this weekend.

Bag dropped: Bad performances of Garcia and Haney threaten the lucrative revenge

The status of a rematch between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney is unclear after Ryan’s defeat against Rolando Romero “Romero” and the terribly bad performance of Haney in victory over Jose Ramirez last Friday at the Times Square event in Modern York on May 2.
Turki Alalshikh did not confirm if the Garcia vs. rematch plans. Haney 2 are still there in October in Riyadh. However, the terrible performances of both hurt fans seeing the second fight. Perhaps they will have to buy back against other warriors, preferably high -level pretenders.
Doubtfully rematch
This will require Garcia to avenge his loss in Rolly or defeat one of the champions at the age of 147, such as Jaron Ennis or Brian Norman Jr., as in the case of Haneya, he should also be put on with a stone killer. His performance in victory over Jose Ramirez was so feeble that his reserves fell even more. Turki must throw Haney with one of these sharks in the final fight from the ground:
– Jaron Ennis
– Brian Norman Jr.
– Conor Benn
– Gary Antuanne Russell
– Richardson Hitchins
Promoter Eddie Hearn says Ryan and Haney “I dropped the bag” Without meeting in your fights. It reveals that Garcia (24-2, 20 KO) and Haney (32-0, 15 KO) were to be “directed” in the ring after the fighting to start promoting their great rematch in October in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. What has not happened that suggests that Turks Alalshikh may decide not to go with their plans for the Garcia-Haney 2 rematch.
They both had to win the fights to block in the October rematch. Although Haney performed his role, defeating Ramirez, he was shy and threw only 224 hitting the entire 12-round fight. Haney landed 70, but he looked afraid to stand and fight. Commenator Tim Bradley says he thinks Devin has PTSD He took against Ryan Garcia last April 20 in Brooklyn, Modern York.
Ryan was knocked down in the second round by a ponderous Romero (17-2, 13 KO) and surprisingly passed through the rest of the road, a 12-round unanimous lost decision of the results 115-112, 118-109 and 115-112.
Nerves and inaction
“Ryan and Devin dropped the bag in the largest drop of the bag you’ve ever seen,” said Eddie Hearn WarriorResponding to the terrible performances of Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney last Friday evening at Times Square, Modern York.
Hearn is right. Both Haney and Garcia gave the chance to get golden frosty, tough cash thanks to the terrible performance last Friday evening. Both were equally penniless and there is no way on earth so that Turks could put them in a rematch and be well received by boxeries.
“Tonight was to be directed at a great rematch,” Hearn continued. “Proverbs to Rolly, but Ryan simply did not appear at all. He did not try to win the fight or he? I know he was buzzed early, but it wasn’t really tough to knock down. But he just let the fight passed. It’s crazy.”
It seemed that Kingry lost his nerves after Rolly dropped him in the second round and after that she did not dare to get involved. You can understand why. Romero looked like Julian Jackson 2.0 in this fight and hit the holes in Ryan with each shot.
“It was all right,” said Hearn, asked what he thought about Haney’s performance against Jose Ramirez. “I told him,” You really had to keep your feet a little more. He was raining Ramirez a few times, but I think there was a lot of nerves. I think he is [Haney] He was out of year. Ryan is also not a year aged. Inactivity kills. We saw it tonight. “
What does Hearn talk about? Haney was not “fine” with his performance against Ramirrez. He was even worse than Ryan, because he looked 100% terrified and escaped from the battlefield. When fans see such warriors, they perceive it as a elementary cowardice. This is the only way to interpret.
Haney looked like a jump like War veteran with shockYou can’t deal with stressful events without a mental lecture. This loss with Ryan Garcia took something from Haney, leaving the shell that the fans saw against Ramirez.

Bruce Carrington says that he doubts Nayy Inoue’s Super Gwiade “will be in a hurry” to go to a pencil scale after he was abandoned in his fight last Sunday evening by Ramon Cardenas. 126-Funty Pretender Carrington states that he thinks Inoue (30-0, 27 KO) will decide to stay in Super Bantamweight I “coast” For the rest of his career.
31-year-old Inoue was knocked down by Cardenas (26-2, 14 KO) in the second round of his fight last Sunday evening at T-Mobile in Las Vegas could be the awakening of “Monster”. In other words, Nayya has achieved his ceiling and should not dare to go outside the division 122 pounds to fight larger, stronger punchers in 126.
Last year, Inoue was knocked down by Luis Neri in the first round, when he was cut by a immense left hook on May 6 in Tokyo Dome. Until then, he was never dropped in his career. It wasn’t a fattening of Flash. Nero hit a tidy left hook. The way Inoue fell, he showed that his chin may be too glass to move to 126 Apical predators Like Rafael Espinosis or Bruce Carrington.
“Coast” in Super Bantam?
“You have to know your boundaries. Like me, I wouldn’t be able to go to 160 or something. Ring magazine About whether Nayya Inoue will go to a featherweight.
Carrington recalls the right one to the warrior who must know his boundaries. Looking at the reaction of Inoue to the blows with which Ramon Cardenas hit him, you can say that he is not doing well on a featherweight against powerful fighters in this division. Cardenas is not a large blow, but Inoue looked in danger with every shot.
“It seems to me that even after dropping his last fight, he will definitely not hurry to reach 126, because we hit even more,” Carrington continued with “Monster” Inoue.
“I see how he probably says:” You know what? I could probably just choose the rest of my career at the age of 122. ” And he did enough to do this.
Dead division
Inoue will probably decide to stay at 122 security for the rest of his career and feels a impoverished opposition in this principle Dead Division. There is a minimal talent in Super Bantamweight, because better fighters are 126 years ancient. Staying in Super Bantamweight is an ideal environment for Nayy to develop with circumscribed fighters for the next five to six years. He can still earn good money in this weight class and augment his wealth.
