Joseph Parker, a fleeting boxing master in weighty weight WBO, believes that despite his ranking he is not a leader to fight Oleksandr Usyk, but instead focuses on Anthony Joshua. After a stunning victory with Martin Bakole in Saudi Arabia-the last substitute moment for the evil Daniel Dubois-33-year-old Kiwi gave a challenge for the championship title.
Parker defeated significant opponents, including Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang, and now Bakole, but he did not take heavyweight championships since Joshua’s defeat in 2018 for Unified Titles. Despite the robust case of seeking the fight for the title, Uyk ruled out the clash with the Parker, expressing his intention to face Dubois for the title of IBF in Pogoń in Pogoń in the second undisputed heavyweight championship.
In the face of decreasing opportunities against Utyk Parker, he then confirmed the desire for a rematch with Joshua.
Speaking about Ariel Helwani ShowThe clearly frustrated Parker noticed: “It seems that we are so close to the fight for real titles, and then suddenly he [Dubois] They got infirmed and now set up in the configuration of this great fight between Usyk and Dubois. I am not sure what we have to do to block the world fight championship.
“I think we have done everything we asked and I hope to close it soon. I would only like to test against Uyk. He is a great warrior and I would like to see what I am able to do against someone like that.
“If I could fight someone, it would be Usyk. Dubois, we had this fight and he pulled out, still without explanation. Each of these two would be amazing, “said Kiwi Boxer, expressing the desire to accept Usyk or Dubois.
Asked if he thinks he could be set in a queue to Usyk, he continued: “Not sure that it would be next. It will be the best, if this happens, but, as you know, boxing has many things that happen behind the scenes that we do not really know and do not really hear.
“He’s always queuing. But I’m not sure [a fight against Usyk] There will be another one. To be straightforward, I have no idea who will be next, but I would fight with everyone and everyone to get the chance to fight for the world championship.
“So I’m not very sure. What can we do? What should we do in such a situation? Do we set it and wait for the winner of this fight [Usyk vs Dubois] Or maybe we are busy, we continue our progress and we are still fighting other best warriors? “He thought about his future steps in sport.
With the preferred opponents, Usyk and Dubois, potentially facing each other, former world champion WBO suggested a possible rematch with Joshua, saying: “But when we focus on ourselves and my career, I think these three names I think [Usyk, Dubois, Joshua] It will be next in the queue. “
The interest of the Joshua camp in the fight against Parker was also mentioned, as before Dubois withdrew from the planned fight, promoter of Joshua, Eddie Hearn, pointed out that the British Olympic gold medalist is the winner.
The head of Matchroom declared on February 18: “AJ wants to become a weighty world champion again. So the winner of Dubois and Parker is a real possibility. But AJ will fight again, he wants to go back to the ring. I want to take part. “

McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
McKean (24-2, 16 KO) had his career cut miniature after a last-round loss to Filip Hrgovic, followed by a brutal first-round loss to Moses Itauma.
The 35-year-old southpaw returned to winning ways with back-to-back stoppage victories.
Talivaa (8-2, 4 KO) last won the IBF Oceania-Orient title, defeating Faiga Opelu by first-round stoppage.
Undercard remaining
At cruiserweight, Luke Modini (13-0, 11 KO) will likely need distance to beat Peng Qu (17-2-1, 12 KO), while Riley Candy (8-1, 5 KO) could stop Nathan Watson (11-3, 3 KO) at super middleweight.
Vegas Larfield (13-1, 9 KO) can hand Shamal Ram Anuj (11-8, 8 KO) his fourth defeat in a row in a featherweight clash.
Heavyweight Nelson Asofa-Solomon (2-0, 2 KO) can secure a third straight knockout over debutant George Burgess, and Stevan Ivic (8-0-1, 2 KO) can do the same against Caleb Tialu (3-7, 3 KO), also a heavyweight.
Prospective super welterweight fighter Jack Javed (1-0) should overtake Lance McDonald (1-5-1, 1 KO).
