The undisputed heavyweight master, Oleksandr Usyk once again showed his deep relationship with his homeland, visiting wounded members of the Ukrainian National Guard over the weekend.
The ruler of four stripes, freshly after the victory of July 19 on Daniel Dubois, went to one of the medical centers of the Ministry of the Interior to meet soldiers returning to each other after injuries on the first line.
According to Ukraine, the Ministry of the Interior, Usyk personally talked to the members of the service in the Act on improvisation, thanking them for their courage and wishing them a quick recovery.
Master’s mission outside the ring
In a message that resonated far beyond the world of boxing, Uyk told them: “What you did and continued to do is invaluable.
“Each of you is a real hero. I wish you a quick recovery because Ukraine needs sturdy and indestructible people.”
The three -time undisputed master of two weight also drew a sturdy relationship between sport and the battlefield, emphasizing the common foundations of immunity, determination and patriotism.
“Victory on the battlefield and sport divide the common basis: the strength of the spirit, confidence and love for their own homeland,” he said.
But the role of Usyk goes further than inspiration by the bed. Emphasizing the voice of Ukraine on the international stage, the Ukyk recently shared with President Zelenskyy.
The president emphasized the importance that his country’s struggle was observable to the wider world.
“Today we are all trying to make Ukraine a sturdy and influential voice in the world, so that as many people around the world know the history of Ukraine’s struggle about life.
“This is possible when on the international stage of politicians and diplomats are supported by the Ukrainian legends known in every corner of the planet. One of them is our unquestioned world champion, Oleksandr Utyt.
“We also dealt with the promotion of a robust lifestyle among youthful people as well as the support and motivation of children who are actively involved in sport.
“We work together, for Ukraine, for freedom, for peace.”
The global influence of Usyk
Words emphasize why Usyk became more than just a champion in ropes. As the only man who will unite both the scales in the circuitous weight and heavyweight in the era of four stripes, his sporting heritage is already provided.
However, its influence as a national figurehead is constantly growing, stretching far beyond boxing.
For Usyk, victory in the ring is only part of the fight. The most critical mission is to ensure that the world never forgets about rehearsals, victims and resistance of the Ukrainian people.
