Jonhatan Cardoso went outside Eduardo Ramirez in Florida, using his size and skills to achieve a unanimous victory of the decision in the last Probox event of 2024.
Cardoso (18-1, 15 KO) achieved its fourth victory at Probox, this time deciding on the Outbox Ramirez box, which never stopped trying to force fire fighting, but he could never change the pace. Cardoso wounded him in the middle of 4, but Ramirez hung and quickly recovered, which led to an excellent round from both men in 5th place.
Ramirez (28-5-3, 13 KO) put in a very game, wobling cardoso in the 9th round. But even in his best rounds, Cardoso looked like the advantage of most rounds in my eyes. The comment did not agree, do not perceive him as a much more equal fight, a sentiment divided by official judges who provided the results of 97-93, 96-94, 96-94.
Regardless of whether you saw it close or broadly, it is a well-deserved decision for Cardoso, which has 4-0 within two and a half years of its only professional loss. Ramirez loses in the second time consistent in 2024, when it fell on the Magsayo market decision in June, but looks robust even in failure.
Luis Nunez UD-10 Leonardo Baez
Solid, if not entirely thrilling, they win Luisa Nunez in the main support. Nunez (20-0, 13 KO) largely controlled the fight, but he did it with one to two action and never really brought many emotions. It is Leonardo Baez for the first time since a broad defeat against Rey Vargas over three years ago, he showed real urgency.
Baez (21-6, 12 KO) never really threatened, but he was impressed by his intensity and perseverance through all kinds of adversity. After two rounds, Baez already had wild bruises on his left biceps and fighting in shoes wrapped in tape to stop him from slipping all over the ring. Baez’s nose began to bleed in the sixth, and then he was really broken and began to make a faces mess in 9.
Baez made a distance, but he wasn’t really in the mix of a decision, losing unanimously on the official results of 98-92, 98-92, 99-91. A good effort in failure and strongly showed that he still has a fighting spirit after a long time from the ring.
Katsum Akitsgi Ko-6 Aston Palicte
Another passing performance by Katsuma Akitsgi, who will cut out the second knockout victory in a row in his second Probox performance. Akitsgi (12-0, 3 KO) was clever pressure from the opening bell, having crunchy shots on both sides of the Palicte head. Akitsgi did a quick work on all sides, when he could give the tone, and then he stood even better when he could stand and trade when Palcite tried to lie down with him.
Palicte (28-7-1, 23 KO) began to be discouraged in the middle rounds, when Akitsgi swayed him at the beginning of the round, and then wounded him into the body in the last 40 seconds. Palicte survived one more round, but fell on the ropes at the beginning of 6 and could not return to his feet before 10.
