Tyson Fury abandons sex ban as love life with wife Paris ‘blooms’

Published

on

Tyson Fury appears to have had a radical change of heart on the pre-fight sex ban after revealing his love life is “growing.” The former heavyweight champion returns to the ring on Saturday night, ending his latest retirement announcement following his second straight loss to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024. The Gypsy King fights Arslanbek Makhmudov live on Netflix at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and despite almost 16 months away from the ring, Fury has made a noticeable change to his pre-fight preparation schedule.

Ahead of his trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder in October 2021, the 37-year-old questioned the benefits of abstaining from sex during training camp, but confirmed that he would be observing a sex ban ahead of this particular fight. He then said: “No fucking before fights? No, that’s a myth, don’t believe it. But my dick will be in the pants – it will be there more or less full time, but maybe it will come out after the fight.”

“I don’t believe in sex in training camp, I’m an aged school fighter and I like to be mighty and mighty, keep everything in the tank and then release all the aggression in the evening.

“I don’t relieve myself once a week, let alone once or seven times a day. I don’t even remember the last time I got laid!” Much research has been conducted on the potential benefits of abstaining from sexual activity.

Some research indicates that it may cause a short-term augment in testosterone levels, which may augment aggression. Many boxers also share the belief that sex weakens their legs, potentially hindering their footwork in the ring.

Despite this, Fury rejected this rule before the clash with Makhmudov, when he spoke honestly about the frequency of his intimate life in the latest series of At Home With The Furys. He revealed: “My love life is growing.

“I have sex at least four or five times a week. Paris is that ride or die chick. This woman has been my wife for almost 20 years. Is she the happiest woman on Earth? One hundred percent.”

The couple has seven children – Venezuela (16), Prince (13), Tyson II (8), Valencia (6), Adonis (5), Athena (4) and Rico (2).

Despite his already disordered family life, Fury revealed that his goal is to father 10 children. He added: “We might have another baby, number eight. Just to see if I still have it. But I want ten. It was always going to be ten.”

Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani – results and post-fight report

Published

on

‼

Naoya Inoue successfully defended his undisputed super bantamweight crown in Tokyo, Japan, defeating Junto Nakatani.

All three judges scored Inoue’s goal in the win against Nakatani being there and achieving his best victories.

The undisputed champion performed in front of 55,000 spectators in a moment that made his hair stand on end. Backed by a violinist and rock music, “The Monster” looked like a man on a mission as he entered the ring.

In the first two rounds, both men felt each other out and the threat of the pair was obvious to all.

Both Inoue and “Gigantic Bang” missed power shots by several inches.

“The Monster” had a robust third round, showing real precision in his shots.

Things started to turn around in the 7th round after a few good rounds from Inoue, and the 28-year-old started to really make an impression.

He had complete control in the 10th round and dominated the “Gigantic Bang”, something few, if anyone, have ever achieved.

Nakatani suffered a nasty cut slow in the round, but after a quick look from the doctor, he was allowed to continue playing.

This cut unfortunately looked to really hinder the 28-year-old as the champion once again turned the tide in the 11th round and had his best round of the fight to date.

The pace returned for Inoue, who began to find his rhythm in the championship rounds.

He had a convincing final round and it was the last two that probably did enough to facilitate him retain his titles.

Yoshiki Takei vs. Chris Medina

The co-main event saw Yoshiki Takei get back to winning ways after a recent loss to Chris Medina.

Takei has held the WBO bantamweight crown since 2024 when he dethroned Jason Moloney.

He picked up a disappointing points victory over DeKang Wang over eight rounds.

Takei started boxing on the back foot in the first round, and Wang looked good from the start.

The third round was probably the hardest in the fight for Wang, who changed the fate of the fight and fired a series of shots at Takei, who was pinned in the corner.

Takei was the more competent player throughout the competition and that precision began to pay off in the final stages. At times it looked like he was on the verge of stopping Wang, who did really well to survive until the final bell.

The three judges’ scorecards read 77-75, 78-74 and 76-76.

Undercard remaining

Naoya’s younger brother, Takuma Inoue, returned to action and extended his win record to 22 in style.

The 30-year-old entered the path of victory by defending the WBC bantamweight world title.

Inoue threw his fighter, Kazuto Ioka, who was knocked down by a difficult right hook in the second second.

In the third round, the champion scored another impressive knockdown.

Jin Sasaki returned for the second time since being brutally stopped by Brian Norman Jr in the fifth round of their fight.

Doubts regarding the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua match appeared after Dua Lipa’s decision

Published

on

The venue for the long-awaited fight has not been confirmed yet, although Wembley remains the leader. Meanwhile, Fury has instructed his team to arrange another warm-up fight before facing Joshua. The Gypsy King ended his 16-month absence earlier this month when he overtook Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to score, before exchanging verbal volleys with Joshua at ringside.

The encounter fueled excitement ahead of a long-awaited domestic clash that has been years in the making, and this week Joshua signed a contract to finally face Fury.

Now another potential obstacle has emerged. Joshua was already scheduled to fight Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga on July 25 – a fight that Queensberry promoter Frank Warren warned could “kill” any fight with Fury in slow 2026 if an upset were to occur.

However, Warren confirmed that Fury also intends to return to the ring before the fight with Joshua, raising further doubts about the fight and increasing the risk of injury to either British heavyweight.

“I think he’ll probably want to do something in between, let’s see,” Warren said, adding: “AJ has his fight. I’m sure Tyson will fight in the meantime. That’s what he’s asking for and we’ll see where we go.”

Warren previously told the BBC: “If he loses to this guy, it’s over.” Pressed on Wembley as a potential venue, Warren added: “That’s where everyone would like to see the fight.

“It’s the national stadium and that’s where it belongs. We’ve had some great nights there in the past and it makes a lot of sense.”
