The last two great ones praise the Utyk – but he is not there yet

Usyk beat Dubois in London

Oleksandr Usyk still receives praise from the license in massive weight after the second convincing victory over Daniel Dubois, but calls to place Ukrainian among great great heavyweight masters remain polarizing.

Both Wladimir Klitschko and Lennox Lewis offered shining praise to the unquestioned master after Dubois fought to become a two -time top league champion.

Kliczko, who had previously kept the United Crown for almost a decade, praised Usyk and praised the dominance of an undefeated star.

High praise from a massive royal family

“Champ, you are a real icon in the boxing ring,” wrote Klitschko. “It was a championship resistant class, emphasizing the steadfast spirit of the US Ukrainians who overcome strength through pure determination and the strength of will.”

Lewis, the last undisputed champion before the UTY, was also impressed by the performance, especially the control and finish of Usyk.

“Of course, I supported another British unquestioned master and everything that leads to Usyk vs. Dubois 2, it seemed that Dubois was ready for a moment,” said Lewis.

“I am not sure if the plan was to jump on Uyk early and rattle it, but Usyk saw it all and fights almost scientifically with the great work of the legs. This will always be a high order.”

He added Usyk and the Mount Rushmore debate: “As a warrior, he is more than proven. However, there are only eight fights as a heavyweight.

“But he cleaned this division, removing all the best fighters. History will be good for Usyk.”

Why is he not there yet

While the admiration is clamorous and deserved, many in boxing brotherhood remain cautious about placing Usyk along with such as Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, and even Lewis and Klitschko.

The main point of dispute is the relatively low eight years in heavyweight, despite wins over the most critical names, such as Joshua (twice), Fury (twice), Dubois (twice) and Chisora.

The World Boxing News has previously analyzed the USKI CV and it was found that while its position for pounds for a pound is undisputed, longevity and title defense still weigh in every actual debate of all -time heavyweight.

At the moment Usyk wrote a story, but undoubtedly not the last chapter. Further heritage will depend on finding the right opponents and not beating worse enemies he has already dominated.
