Terenka Crawford lost the title of WBA Super-Welterweight in Abass Baraou, has been confirmed. Boxing Wasserman, a Baraou promoter, confirmed news on social media. After Crawford defeated Canelo Alvarez to become a champion of the undisputed super-medium weight, his 13-month rule maintaining the title of WBA Super-Welterwagtht is coming to an end.
After informing the main sanction of his decision to return to the weight class, the short-lived owner of the Baraou title was promoted to the full status of the world champion. Wasserman Boxing wrote: “Abass Baraou is a full world champion. Sitting at the highest table confirmed for AB, who would you like to see, how the next one?”
The German boxer Baraou, who won the short-lived title with winning with Yoenis Tellez, joins Sebastian Funda (WBC), Bakhram Murtazaliev (IBF) and Xander Zayas (WBO) as one of four owners of titles in the division.
Jermell Charlo, “Master” WBA, is a must -see, whose Baraou received a fight. The former unquestioned master Charlo has not fought since losing to Canelo at points in the mediumweight division in September 2023.
But the 35-year-old will return to the 154 pounds, unless Errol Spence Jr is bothering. Charlo talks were held to face Spence JR – who had not fought from July 2023, when he was detained by Crawford – at the beginning of 2026.
Meanwhile, Crawford is the first three-important unquestioned king of the current era and he dealt with rumors that he could retire after defeating Canelo. “I don’t know [if this is the last fight of my career]”He said.” I have to sit with my team and we’ll talk about it. “
American coach Brian McIntyre, speaking Fight Hub tv, He suggested that he has not yet disconnected his gloves.
“Of course,” answered the 37-year-old “Bomac”. “I would like to see how he rest, spend some time with my family. The holidays are coming, maybe traveling a bit, and then go back to the gym and rate where he is.
“He is a damn good warrior. I love to cooperate with him. If he says:” Let’s go two or three times: “Let’s go two or three times.”
Chris Eubank Jr, meanwhile, opened the door to a great fight against Crawford, the owner of all four titles at 168 pounds. He said Sky Sports: “Everything can be created. It doesn’t matter how unbelievable or fantastic can be a fight that you think you never will happen, everything can be done.
“I wouldn’t say it. I said after the fight, I would like to share the ring from Terenka. He is now seen as one of the large pounds in sport. I am here to fight large names. Fighting with him, fighting Canelo, I would like to share the ring with these guys.”

On Wednesday, Lewis Crocker heads to Australia to defend his IBF welterweight world title against Liam Paro for the first time.
Crocker will face Paro at the Pat Rafter Arena in Queensland, live on DAZN in the UK and Kayo Sports in Australia.
Crocker (22-0, 11 KO) became world champion in September, defeating Paddy Donovan twice before winning the rematch by split decision.
Man from Belfast recorded his second victory over Donovan after the first victory in March last year, and his rival was disqualified for hitting him after the bell.
Paro (27-1, 16 KO) is trying to become a world champion in two weight categories, having previously reigned in the super-lightweight division.

McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
McKean (24-2, 16 KO) had his career cut miniature after a last-round loss to Filip Hrgovic, followed by a brutal first-round loss to Moses Itauma.
The 35-year-old southpaw returned to winning ways with back-to-back stoppage victories.
Talivaa (8-2, 4 KO) last won the IBF Oceania-Orient title, defeating Faiga Opelu by first-round stoppage.
Undercard remaining
At cruiserweight, Luke Modini (13-0, 11 KO) will likely need distance to beat Peng Qu (17-2-1, 12 KO), while Riley Candy (8-1, 5 KO) could stop Nathan Watson (11-3, 3 KO) at super middleweight.
Vegas Larfield (13-1, 9 KO) can hand Shamal Ram Anuj (11-8, 8 KO) his fourth defeat in a row in a featherweight clash.
Heavyweight Nelson Asofa-Solomon (2-0, 2 KO) can secure a third straight knockout over debutant George Burgess, and Stevan Ivic (8-0-1, 2 KO) can do the same against Caleb Tialu (3-7, 3 KO), also a heavyweight.
Prospective super welterweight fighter Jack Javed (1-0) should overtake Lance McDonald (1-5-1, 1 KO).
