Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney exchanged malicious comments on social media today, claiming they look different now that they are getting aid. It is not clear which one he unleashed the dogs war on insults. Whoever it was caused a firestorm.

Ryan promises a slap right away

Ryan (24-2, 20 KO), who is 1-0 in the win column after last year’s beating of Devin, said he would “punch” him in the face when he saw him.

Time will tell if they want to fight in 2026, because Kingry already has his hands full and will face WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios on February 21, 2026.

Why Turki favors Benn over Devin

If Ryan wins this fight, he will face WBC mandatory Conor Benn on May 5, 2026 in Las Vegas. Promoter Eddie Hearn let the cat out of the bag today, saying that Turki Alalshikh claims he wants to put the Garcia-Benn fight on Cinco de Mayo weekend on May 5. Interestingly, Turki intends to fight this fight, not a rematch between Devin and Ryan.

What may have caused Alalshikh to lose interest in the Garcia-Haney 2 rematch was Devin’s lifeless performance against Brian Norman Jr. and Jose Ramirez in 2025. Turki looked furious as he sat in the front row for both fights, watching Haney run and hang on.

Haney withdraws 💉 accusation

Devin Haney: “Ryan looks much better now that he’s back at it 💉 I feel sorry for Barrios! He failed drug tests in May,” Devin Haney said on the show Xdestroying Ryan Garcia.

Ryan Garcia: “When I see you, I’m going to slap you and you’re not going to do anything about it,” Ryan Garcia said in answer to Haney’s comment. “There’s no point in talking about it anymore, it’s all gone. If he thinks I cheated, it should be uncomplicated to withdraw the case and then everything will be fine.

Haney: “Remember I hurt you too. I’m still taking drug tests. You’re the one who dropped out of the program. Why? Explain.”

Ryan: “Damn, the whistleblower told Devin Haney offhand, wtf 😭😭 he actually got power out of nowhere. That’s crazy. Someone’s lying on their own blood, but promise me one thing, Devin. And put it on your daughter, you won’t sue me when I hit you 🙏🏻. And if I do what happens, that’ll nada.”

Haney: “I bet you don’t. With my daughter, no!”

Ryan: “He definitely taught Devin how to do the right thing and cheat without anyone noticing, made it easier for him, and Conte’s diuretics went crazy,” Garcia said on the show X.
