Ricky Hatton’s fighters will lace up the gloves once again next month in Bolton as the boxing community continues to honor the memory of the behind schedule Manchester legend.

The upcoming VIP Boxing show, which takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, will be of particular importance to the Hatton stable following the tragic death of their mentor on September 14 in Hyde.

Long-time friend and manager Paul Speak, who worked closely with Hatton throughout his career and later helped manage his players, will take over the reins on the evening at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in Bolton, Lancashire, and for the foreseeable future.

Describing the event, Paul Speak told World Boxing News exclusively: “We have scheduled two of Ricky’s boxers to fight on November 22 at Toughsheet Community Stadium in Bolton during a VIP appearance by Steve Wood.

“Ibrahim ‘Ibby’ Nadim boxing for the English super featherweight championship against Numan Hussain and boxing is also Jack Murphy.”

Speak’s presence ensures that Hatton’s warriors remain under the leadership of someone who personally knew the behind schedule champion, keeping alive the spirit of his memory.

Main event: English super featherweight title

In the fight of the evening for the vacant spot, Ibrahim “Ibby” Nadim (15-1, 0 KO) will face Numan Hussain (7-0-2). BBBofC The English super featherweight title, a fitting headline for a card dedicated to continuing the work started by Hatton.

Supporting attacks

The gala, promoted by Steve Wood (VIP Promotions) and hosted by Steve Lillis, will be supervised by the British Boxing Board of Control.

Bolton’s bill will also feature several undefeated prospects who trained alongside Hatton’s fighters and continue to represent the spirit of British boxing at grassroots level:

The Bolton VIP Boxing Show will take place on Saturday 22nd November at Toughsheet Community Stadium.

Radivoje Kalajdzic improved to 31-3 with a unanimous decision over Craig Richards, who dropped to 20-5-1 after a good ten-round scrap. Both men had their moments and hurt each other at times before “Hot Rod” got the verdict on the scorecards, which included knocking Richards down for the first time in his career.
