Raymond Muratalla successfully defended his IBF lightweight world title against Andy Cruz in Las Vegas.

Cruz entered the fight against Muratalla as the favorite, despite having only had six professional fights prior to the fight.

Two judges gave the nod to the defending champion at 118-110 and 116-112, while the third tied it at 114-114.

The competition could be scored in any way, so the card of 118-110 seemed very wide.

Some of the best fighters in the world took to social media to react to the Muratalla vs. Cruz fight, including WBO welterweight champion Devin Haney.

“It was a good fight. Andy is nothing to worry about, especially since he has only had six fights. He will definitely bounce back.”

Former lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson has revealed he is eyeing the main event winner for his next fight after next Saturday’s fight against Teofimo Lopez.

“Yes, yes, definitely [I want the winner]. I plan on getting back to 135 pounds. I’m not a 140-pound fighter. I’ve said it a million times and people can run with whatever they want, but after this fight, if I don’t get a gigantic fight, I’ll go back to 135 pounds.”

Khalil Coe vs. Jesse Hart

In the co-main event, Khalil Coe and Jesse Hart settled their feud after explosive action.

Throughout the week of fighting, the pair almost came to blows several times.

The WBC USA lithe heavyweight title was at stake. However, Coe was overweight the day before the fight, which meant that only Hart could win the belt.

In the third round, the pair came together and Coe punched Hart to the ground, causing a point deduction by referee Thomas Taylor.

Hart was also deducted a point in the sixth round for holding.

The final scores were: 96-92, 95-93 and 94-94.
