Quotes from today’s Jacek Catterall vs. Arnold Barboza Jr WBO Ephemeral press conference Clash Jr Iterterweight before Saturday’s action at the Live Cooperative in Manchester, shown live in Dazn.

Final press conference quotes

Eddie Hearn, President of the Sports match:

“A huge boxing night in a wonderful cooperative lives here in Manchester on Saturday-live on Dazn around the world. For me, one of the best fights in the world at 140 pounds. This is the fleeting title of the WBO world weight of world weight between England Jacek Cattell and America Arnold Barboza. Jack Cattell, a man who should be undisputed. A man who passed through Jorge Linares, Josh Taylor, Regis Prograis, and now this man is waiting for Arnold Barboza, who was sitting for a long time at the top of the peat order. One of the best charges of Golden Boy. Straight from a fantastic victory over Ramirez in Saudi Arabia. Ready to put himself in a golden position for huge fights in the division. “

Jack Cattell:
“What a card we got on Saturday evening, three other boys from my fighting gym, great live fights, but during my fight it is a great chance for me on Saturday.

“I think that we both have confidence in the preparations we had, I do not want straightforward fights, Arnold was in a position that I was waiting for this opportunity and I do not think that you can sit down now as the box is off the beaten track, you have to risk. I have a good rush, I feel better with every camp, this camp was great, we improved it from the last time and I believe that I am a better warrior and I pull him out on Saturday.

“I was very energetic and confidence comes from the time spent in the gym and all challenging work and the time has come to relax, recover and do. I was getting better thanks to the rush and activity and hence confidence.

“I am in a great division weighing 140 pounds with many huge warriors, but nothing matters until after Saturday evening I have to remain focused on Arnold. Considering this, we understand business, there are so many great fights. Teofimo Lopez has the title of WBO, I hope it is a fight you can do, but I have to beat it and beat it well on Saturday.

“This is the last obstacle on Saturday, it’s a great fight, it’s a high risk, high prizes, as he said, I am ready and we bring this belt to Charley and Sunday morning.”

Arnold Barboza JR:
“We had another offer to fight the main event at home, but I just want to fight best. I think Jack is a really good warrior at the top of the division and I think we are the best, I don’t think the masters are better than us, to be truthful. We are always ready for challenges, we are ready to work.

“I believe that I am the best in the division, I do not think that anyone can fuck me. I am simply confident, at the end of the day we can do everything he says, I know that he is not a garbage speaker and I am not a garbage speaker, Saturday will determine everything and all this.

“I watched many fights in which people went to the territory of the enemy, and they are booed – I hope it is sold out and I hope that I will be booed, it will simply raise me. I am excited and this dream, a great fight against high risk and a high reward, no more of these low risks, low prizes, I am excited that I can get there and dance with him.

“I really believe I keep him. The way in which the camp went, we areolated with a height of 8000 feet, running in the snow, everything we did and the way I felt in sparring, and my sparring can confirm, I feel stronger and better than ever. He comes with everything, I go with everything, so let’s go.

“This fight means everything for me. There are fans in Great Britain, expect a great fight and an stimulating fight and I hope that I will bring some of these fans with me. “

“Times Square was an incredible experience because of how tough it was to create.

“People were disconnected from the experience, and that’s what I felt: I want people to be engaged.”

Eddie Hearn believes Tyson Fury lacks confidence ahead of his clash with Anthony Joshua later this year.

Joshua and Fury have signed a deal to face each other in the highly anticipated all-British blockbuster, which is expected to be staged in November.

“AJ” will be there will face the unknown Albanian Kristian Prenga during warm-ups in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on July 25.

Fury, who retired to beat Arslanbek Makhmudov on points in April, is also keen to fight again before facing his long-time rival, with an August 1 date being discussed.

Joshua’s promoter Hearn questions the Morecambe fighter’s decision to fight another fight in the meantime, believing it could signal a lack of faith.

“He’s going to do what he’s going to do,” the 46-year-old said Sky Sports Boxing.

“And if he feels like he needs a good fight, I like that because it tells me he’s not completely confident.

“He shot 12 good rounds with Makhmudov to the point where you really need more rounds?

“He told us, ‘You don’t need another fight.’

“In two years of boxing, we had four rounds with Jake Paul.

“You had 12 rounds with Makhmudov at Tottenham but you still feel you need more rounds to prepare for Anthony Joshua.

“More rounds won’t assist you, because I can see it.

“When Makhmudov came into that fight, I knew what AJ was going to do.”
