Tonight's UFC 332 event was headlined by a women's flyweight title fight between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong.

Silva and Cong were competing for the vacant women's flyweight title, this after longtime champion Valentina Shevchenko was forced to vacate the belt due to a serious injury.

Natalia Silva (21-5-1 MMA) entered the contest sporting a 14-fight winning streak, with her most previous Octagon victory coming over Rose Namajunas this past January at UFC 324. The 29-year-old Brazilian's most recent loss had come way back in December of 2017.

Meanwhile, Wang Cong (10-2 MMA) entered tonight's title bout boasting a four-fight winning streak, with her most previous victory coming over Tracy Cortez this past July at UFC 329. ‘The Joker' had suffered her lone career loss to Gabriella Fernandes via technical submission back in November of 2024.

Tonight's UFC 332 main event proved to be a solid back and forth affair. Natalia Silva got the better of Wang Cong in the opening two rounds, but the Chinese standout turned it on in rounds four and five. Despite the late surge, Cong ended up on the wrong end of the judges' decision. Silva takes home the belt and looks to start a new era at flyweight.

Check out how the pros reacted to ‘Silva vs. Cong' below:

Post-fight reactions to Natalia Silva defeating Wang Cong at UFC 332:

“Well deserved Natalia! Congratulations! It's my pleasure to know that UFC Champion's belt is now holding deserving martial artist – such as you are! 👊
But don't get too comfortable — keep it warm, I'm coming soon for my belt!†– Valentina Shevchenko

Alexander Volkanovski explains why he’s a ‘nightmare matchup’ for Movsar Evloev
Alexander
Volkanovski is confident he'll become the first fighter to
defeat Movsar
Evloev.

Volkanovski (28-4) will defend his
Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight title against
Evloev (20-0) at
UFC 333 on Oct. 24 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The champion
believes he presents a “nightmare†stylistic matchup for the
unbeaten Russian.

Alexander Volkanovski explains why Movsar Evloev’s grappling
may fail him in UFC 333 title fight

Ahead of their title clash, Volkanovski explained that Evloev
relies on his wrestling to escape difficult situations. The
Australian champion believes his own grappling skills will deny the
challenger that fallback option.

“I think it just doesn't end well for him,†Volkanovski said in a
pre-fight interview. “I don't mean it in any bad way. I just think
I'm the guy to take that zero from him. He's got incredible skill.
He is very effective with what he does… Every time he's had
problems, he could rely on that wrestling and grappling to get him
out of trouble. And you’ve got to respect that skill. But that
doesn't work with me. That's not a get out of jail free card with
me. When you're panicking, when you're freaking out, you don't get
to just grab hold of me and hang on to a leg or anything like that…
I just think that I'm a bit of a nightmare matchup for him.â€

Volkanovski has demonstrated his defensive wrestling in previous
appearances, including his competitive first bout against Islam
Makhachev, who tops the UFC's men's pound-for-pound rankings.
He has never been submitted in 32 professional fights.
