Manny Pacquiao, Randy Gordon, and Boxing Legends Headline International Boxing Hall of Fame Class of 2025

– The International Hall of Fame (IBHOF) will honor its class 2025 this week, June 5-8, in the great celebration of the best boxing. The star of the inducthenium stars is the Filipino icon of Manna “Pac Man” Pacquiao, the only world champion in the history of boxing, next to the valued sender and journalist Randy Gordon, an outstanding voice as a boxing commentator. They are joined by an unusual group of fighters, judges and colleagues who left an indelible mark in sport. The induction weekend, which took place in “Boxing’s Hometsown” Canastot in Up-to-date York, promises the historical meeting of royal boxing.

Manny Pacquiao: The global icon enters immortality

Manny Pacquiao, commonly considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, enters IBHOF in its first year of qualification. With a professional career in 1995–2021, Pacquiao gathered a record 62-8-2, including 39 knockouts, and won the world titles in eight weight divisions-from flying weight after the weight of Super Welter weighing. His victories over the Hall of Famers, such as Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, Miguel Cotto and Oscar de la Hoya, strengthened his heritage as a pound for pounds of titan. The stimulating Pacquiao style, marked by a blad of speed and a relentless work indicator, made him a global sensation and national hero in the Philippines.

Randy Gordon, a multi -faceted figure in boxing, is introduced to the category of observers for the decades of the contribution as a journalist, sender and former Commissioner for Sporting of the State of Up-to-date York. As a commentator of Boxing Insider, a thorough analysis and passion of Gordon for this sport made him a beloved figure among fans. Class 2025 includes 14 inductions in many categories, voted by boxing Writers Association of America and the panel of international boxing historians. The following legends will be saved along with Pacquiao and Gordon:

Observer category:
Ross GreenburgFormer HBO Sports Director, whose productions raised the global range of boxing. Greenburg noticed: “This is a handsome honor. I put my heart into it and all my colleagues I have worked with for years, put it in all this.”
Category of venerable timers:
Rodrigo Valdez (Posthumous), the Colombian medium scale champion, who competed in 1963–1980.
Pioneering category:
Owen Swift (Poshumous), an early figure in the history of boxing, whose contribution was made by the foundations under contemporary sport.

Celebration weekend

The IBHOF induction weekend, lasting from June 5 to June 8, 2025, will be offered a schedule of events in Canastot and the nearby Turning Stone Resort casino. Fans can expect Ringside Talks, a 5K race, a parade run by the Great Marshal Sydney Sweeney, autograph sessions and the induction ceremony itself on June 8, which will be sent live stream.

The ceremony will also include the frequency of boxers, such as Nonito Donaire, a four -way world champion who will join Pacquiao on the occasion of the ceremony. “Noneto Donaire delighted fans around the world with his stimulating and skillful style of the ring,” said executive director Ibhof Edward Brophy. “We are glad that in June he will visit Canastot for the first time.”

The legacy preserved

Class 2025 embodies immunity, courage and perfection defining boxing. From the incomparable achievements of Pacquiao in the ring to the lasting voice of Gordon behind the microphone, this year’s Inducki represent the past, present and the future of this sport. "Solomon Dacres Confidently Takes on Bakhodir Jalolov in Epic Showdown"

Solomon Dacres expects to stop Bakhodir Jalolov tonight, but his record offers little support for that prediction against the 6’7″ two-time Olympic gold medalist.

Jalolov has looked sluggish enough lately to give critics room for skepticism. The dominant puncher seen in the amateur ranks rarely appears in his prize ring outings, prompting a few observers to sniff an upset. Regardless, Jalolov looking flat does not suddenly transform Dacres into a top threat.

“Got to get him out of there, man,” Dacres told SecondsOut. “Mid to late rounds.”

That would be a considerable leap for a fighter whose most revealing professional result remains his first-round stoppage defeat to David Adeleye in December 2024.

Dacres describes that loss as a “blip,” but it came against the most notable opponent he had faced. Across five years as a professional, he hasn’t built a record of beating contenders that would make a Jalolov knockout seem likely.

His points win against Vladyslav Sirenko also requires context. Sirenko amassed numbers without testing himself against true threats, meaning that victory hardly proves Dacres can deal with Jalolov’s height, reach, and southpaw boxing skills.

“This fight here is beyond English title level, man,” Dacres said. “This is like world level.”

Jalolov deserves criticism for how slowly his professional career has moved and for performances that haven’t matched expectations. His Olympic medals don’t excuse that, and Dacres has an opportunity to make him work.

Expecting Dacres to win because Jalolov underwhelms ignores his own modest punch output. Managing just three stoppages across ten victories, he lacks the firepower to back up big talk.

For Dacres to land the kinds of sustained combinations required to stop someone Jalolov’s size, he has to pin him down. Jalolov does not fight like a traditional, stationary heavyweight slugger. Even when he looks uninspired, he uses lateral footwork, maintains long range with his southpaw lead hand, and angles off before opponents can set their feet.

Dacres lacks both the foot speed to cut off the ring effectively and the explosive one-punch power to make Jalolov cautious. If Dacres tries to force the issue, he’ll put himself at risk of getting caught. Pressing aggressively against a 6’7″ southpaw who excels at firing straight left hands down the pipe is asking for trouble.

Unless Jalolov completely checks out mentally and stands against the ropes to trade, Dacres will be eating long jabs and counters all night, with a Jalolov stoppage being the far more probable outcome.
