Manager Vasily Lomachenko, Egis Klimas, says Loma is the best fight for Gervont Davis in the lithe division “If”, he returns. He says that the match between Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KO) and Tank Davis (30-0-1, 28 KO) would be “more fascinating for fans” than other guys aged 135. He healed the fight against Tank since 2018 without happiness.

“A real king”

Lomachenko can strengthen his heritage if he returns this year and defeats Tank Davis. It would be the perfect fight to take Loma before retiring, because it would cause his career.

Real record

Most agree that he should still be invincible, because his losses in Orlando Salido, Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney were very doubtful. In fact, Lomachenko is 21-0 Now the real king of the lithe division.

Klimas says that he sees the lithe champion of WBC Shakur Stevenson is a warrior who rises and “escapes”. Financially and in terms of entertainment is not so attractive to the former world champion in three resolutions of Lomachenko. Fans would be uninteresting if Shakur was running around the ring, trying to win a point decision.

Lomachenko has not fought from May 12 last year, when he knocked out the former unification of the lithe master George Cambosos Jr. In the eleventh round to win the free IBF 135-LB title in Perth, Australia. After this fight, Loma had the opportunity to fight Tank last year, but he did not.

“Everyone thinks Loma is ready and is not of it. Everyone wants to fight Loma. I think it’s good because if Loma returns, it would be a very good fight [Gervonta] Davis – said Egis Klimas manager Sports media YSM Oh, that Vasily Lomachenko is seen as confused now when she is getting aged and was inactive.

Lomachenko looked better than ever in his last fight with Cambosos. It was a well -equipped Loma fighting with a real lightweight weight instead of cooked welterweight, just like Devin Haney looked in his fight with him in 2023. As good as Loma looked in this fight, he would beat Tank Davis if they fought.

Best fight

“What is Shakur and what is a tank?” Klimas said when it was asked which better fight for Lomachenko between Shakur Stevenson and Tank Davis. “Skills and financial,” said Egis, seeing Gervont as a more qualified and better fight for money for Lomachenko.

“He is [Tank] A much better warrior in my way and the upcoming warrior. I’m not going to take anything from Shakur. He is a good warrior, but he is a bumper. He enters the shell and runs away. The tank comes to fight. This is a more fascinating fight. This is a more intriguing fight.

“This makes it more fascinating. This makes it more fascinating for fans, “Klimas said when he said that Tank Davis is a more” risky “fight for Lomachenko. “At the moment Lomachenko is the best opponent of the fight against Tank.”

Daniel Dubois Must Improve Start to Overcome Fabio Wardley Challenge

"Daniel Dubois Must Improve Start to Overcome Fabio Wardley Challenge"

Daniel Dubois needs a sharper performance against Fabio Wardley on Saturday, with trainer Don Charles promising a “more clinical job” from the WBO heavyweight champion in their rematch.

The WBO heavyweight titleholder makes his defense on October 17 at London’s O2 Arena. Charles feels the champion enters this rematch riding high on confidence, though promises of precision have to translate into shutting down Wardley’s avenues of attack.

“We’re expecting, like I said, a better version of Fabio, and we’re definitely going to bring a better version of ourselves,” Charles said to talkSPORT Boxing.

Dubois genuinely needs those adjustments. His initial trouble against Wardley proved perilous the moment the challenger found clean openings. Grabbing victory the first time around does not guarantee success if he walks the exact same path on Saturday.

Wardley let a real opportunity slip by failing to capitalize after landing significant blows. That remains the chief danger Dubois must counter, facing an opponent who acts decisively instead of granting the champion breathing room to recover his timing.

Charles recognizes the tactical shifts Wardley brings.

“He’s a very dangerous guy,” Charles noted. “We prepared for a better version of Fabio.”

Interestingly, the trainer claims Dubois is operating at only 80 percent capacity, leaving substantial room to grow. He points to a calmer champion who grinded through camp while keeping his competitive edge razor sharp.

“We’ve trained as if with the hunger of a challenger,” Charles explained.

Self-belief serves Dubois well, yet it cannot substitute for disciplined guard work under fire. He has to assert his power without hanging out to dry against incoming counters.

Charles is convinced Dubois leaves the ring with his belt after a faster finish. Still, Wardley’s capacity to learn and adapt threatens to complicate those plans. A refined Dubois likely repeats his triumph, but recycling old defensive blunders offers Wardley the exact ticket to an upset.

Salita Promotions Positions Atif Oberlton as Americas Leading Light Heavyweight

"Salita Promotions Positions Atif Oberlton as America's Leading Light Heavyweight"

Promoter Dmitriy Salita wants Atif Oberlton to become America’s leading light heavyweight as the undefeated Philadelphia contender prepares for another step toward a world title opportunity.

Oberlton faces Deon Nicholson on November 7 at Kiva Auditorium in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with the 28-year-old southpaw looking to extend his unbeaten record of 17 victories, including 14 knockouts.

The ten-round contest will be broadcast live on DAZN as the co-main event to Abraham Perez’s homecoming WBA interim flyweight title defense against Yankiel Rivera.

Salita has made no secret of his belief in Oberlton’s potential, but he has now outlined a specific ambition for the Philadelphia fighter.

“We know how talented Atif is and we want to position him as the best light heavyweight coming out of the U.S.,” Salita told World Boxing News.

That ambition follows Oberlton’s rise through the world rankings and his own assessment of the opportunities available at 175 pounds.

Speaking exclusively to WBN in June, Oberlton described the division as “open season” and said he was only a few fights away from challenging for a world title.

From Crawford Lessons to 17-0

Oberlton’s confidence has been backed by a run of impressive performances, including stoppage victories over Joseph George and Carlos Gongora earlier this year.

He previously credited Terence Crawford with teaching him to relax in the ring, an influence he believes has helped his development.

Oberlton subsequently defeated Roamer Alexis Angulo by shutout unanimous decision on August 15, ending a run of eight consecutive knockouts.

The result took his record to 17-0 and provided further evidence of his ability to control a fight over ten rounds.

He also told WBN earlier this year that staying active was central to his progress since joining Salita Promotions and Wynn Records. His November booking against Nicholson continues that approach.

Nicholson’s Knockout Threat

Nicholson enters the contest with a record of 23-1 and 19 knockouts, making him another dangerous assignment for the rising contender.

The 36-year-old Alabama fighter has worked with Jay Deasthe longtime trainer of former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

Nicholson had previously been scheduled to face Artur Beterbiev in Saudi Arabia in November 2025 before the fight fell through following Beterbiev’s reported withdrawal.

He has recorded six knockouts in his last nine fights and believes defeating Oberlton would put him in contention for bigger opportunities.

“This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for,” Nicholson said. “I’ve been in camp, ready to fight, and I’m already in shape. This win will put the boxing world on notice that I deserve the biggest opportunities.”

Oberlton, however, believes he has already shown he can handle the step up in competition.

“Going ten rounds for the first time in my last fight gave me even more confidence. Nicholson doesn’t present anything I feel I can’t handle,” he said.

“Every fight is a step up and beating him on November 7 will keep me climbing the light heavyweight division and moving closer to a world title shot.”

Salita’s World Title Ambition

Salita believes Oberlton possesses the qualities to compete with the division’s elite, with Dmitry Bivol among the leading names at 175 pounds.

The promoter also highlighted Oberlton’s Philadelphia roots and determination to become a world champion.

“Representing the historic fight city of Philadelphia, he is ready to join boxing’s elite with a statement performance against the hard-hitting Deon Nicholson on Nov. 7,” Salita said in the fight announcement.

Oberlton now has another chance to prove Salita’s confidence is justified against an opponent with 19 knockouts in 23 victories.

Victory on November 7 would extend his unbeaten record and strengthen his case for a world title opportunity in 2027.
