Khan: If Crawford defeats Canelo, he takes his heritage
Published
1 year agoon
Amir Khan informed the global news of his belief that Terenka Crawford may overshadow the heritage of Canelo Alvarez.
A retired British warrior who begins a promotional career next month in Ghana, in his career he faced both Crawford and Canelo.
Khan broadcast his views on the superfigure before Crawford’s challenge for the unquestionable title of super medium weight on September 13.
Coming from Bolton, he states that there is a place among Mount Rushmore legends for two four -lane achievements.
Khan says Crawford can overtake Canelo’s work if he triumphes at 168 pounds under the Turki clock Alalshikh.
“One hundred percent, yes. It will have to be considered that, definitely. What someone like Crawford did in sport in such a low time, in my opinion, because he was always in complex fights,” said Khan, Khan, said worldboxingnews.com in an exclusive interview.
“He fought the best of the best.
“If I stop Canelo, he will always be remembered,” he added.
When asked about Crawford’s weight escalate and his problems with giving up pounds to Canelo, Khan replied: “Look, the weights are made for a specific purpose.
“And I like Crawford. I think he is a brilliant warrior. But sometimes you can give too much. Let’s hope Crawford doesn’t give away too much in terms of weight, because the weights are for some reason.
“I think Crawford da Canelo huge problems. She is an amazing warrior, but sometimes even amazing warriors can be beaten, ranging with weight or not doing something well.”
Crawford defeated Khan by arresting the sixth round in 2019, two years before the latter in retirement. Khan knows how good the “donut” is and believes that the omah native of Omah does not move to Canelo simply in the offer of a mass bag.
“Crawford earned good money in this sport. I talked to him and he also said to me.” I don’t do it for money. “
“I think he is a reward, we understand it, but I think he wants more than money. It’s more about being the best and showing that he is one of the best.
“I mean that he has a chance to become a thirty unquestioned champion. Simply his sound is amazing,” summed up the former world champion in two importance.
At 41-0, 31 KO, Crawford can regain the highest place for the highest place with a convincing victory against Canelo this fall.
In the past, WBN has well documented that the biography of Crawford won in the title of the world champion was not against the very significant opposition. But it will be close to insignificance, if the 37-year-old becomes only the third boxer who defeated the Mexican superstar.
Floyd Mayweather did it against Teenage Canelo in 2013 at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Dmitriry Bivol repeated this feat in 2022 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, WBN’s WBN attended live.
Bivol shocked the world that night, but his achievements have been shown since then that it wasn’t fuchs. He will become the undisputed champion of bulky lightweight means that Canelo has only lost to the owners of titles at the highest level.
The organizers have not yet confirmed the place and location for Canelo vs Crawford, but after finishing fans, fans, media and former masters can expect one of the main pens of the year.

Oscar Collazo remained undefeated and won the WBO International flyweight title on Saturday night with a devastating two-round victory over Neider Valdez.
The unified WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine minimumweight champion improved to 15-0 with 12 knockouts after defeating Valdez three times before Mexico’s corner stopped the fight at 2:35 of the second round.
Making his final appearance at 112 pounds, Collazo showed his strength immediately transferred to the upper division, defeating Valdez from the opening bell at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California.
The Puerto Rican striker repeatedly found a home for his left hand and left no doubt about the outcome before the fight was called off.
“I felt great at 112 pounds. I love this division. In fact, I want to stay here for a long time,” Collazo said.
Knockdowns
Collazo admitted that he had already called for the fight to be stopped.
“After the third knockdown I was basically saying, ‘Never again, never again’. It was the right decision for his safety. His corner was well checked.
The victory added another belt to Collazo’s collection and enhanced his growing reputation as one of boxing’s most invigorating champions in the lower weight division.
Looking ahead, Collazo has made it clear who he wants next.
“The fight with Ricardo Sandoval definitely interests me. I really want that fight. I’m ready for gigantic fights. I’m ready to make history. That’s the fight I want next.”
Sandoval currently holds the WBA flyweight title, making this one of the most attractive fights available if Collazo continues his climb in weight.
The event was broadcast live on DAZN and was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in partnership with Miguel Cotto Promotions.
