Denys Berinchyk vs Keyshawn Davis

Norfolk’s son is now a delicate king. Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KO) won the delicate WBO title in his 14th professional fight, rejecting a friend of the Olympic silver medalist Denys Berinchyk (19-1, 9 KOS) with a left body hook in the fourth round in the fourth round on Friday evening at the theater in Madison Square Garden.

A few days after the ugly weekly controversy between them, Davis refused that his emotions be the best of him. He remained composed, pulled Berinchyk and closed the program.

The 25-year-old had to move early in the constant feinging of Berinchyk and Movement, but in the third round he found his rhythm, the time when he came on the right hand and dropping him to the left to the body.

By eating the success of his attack in the central part, Davis doubled on the fourth. When Berinchyk entered, Davis counteracting his right and left downstairs, the latter folded him on canvas.

Berinchyk tried to get up, but judge Harvey Dock waved at 1:45.

Davis said: “It was an amazing feeling. Just before eliminating it, I heard a crowd that said: “Norfolk! Norfolk! Norfolk! ‘I thought, “I have to knock him out now! Boom!'”

“I have never really had problems with awkward warriors. The only thing that gave me trouble was the way he jumps and left. And it was a bit faster than I expected. When the rounds lasted, I felt more comfortable, and in the fourth round I did it to him. “

“My son was here. I had to appear for my son, Keyshawn Jr. He was in the crowd watching me. Now it means a lot to me. When he looks at this day, he will be proud of his father. “

“I want everyone who has balls to enter the ring and fight me. There are two 135-pound masters that I would like to fight. If they have the courage to enter the ring with a “businessman”, tell them to send me a contract or I can send them. “

Xander Zayas

The star Puerto Rican, Xander Zayas, moved to his junior WBO Ranking No. 1, stopping the German contender to the German contender Sław Sławer (20-1, 11 KO) in the ninth round of the company.

Zayas (21-0, 13 KO) invested in the body early and often, and eventually paid dividends. He spent most of the fight with retreat and building a convenient advantage before using his moment.

Waiting the hook upstairs, Spomer left the body open, and Zayas buried his left to the liver. Spomer never recovered when Zayas threw himself, pouring him out as long as judge Charlie Fitch saw enough.
Zayas kept his pair of regional stripes at 2:01 ninth round.

Zayas said: “From the first round I knew that he would gradually wear out. On the third or fourth I hurt him and he got a good shot for me. But I went to my corner and told me to fight intelligently because we had 10 rounds to bear it. And until the eighth and nine they told me, let’s come with combinations and we began to land with more power to get the finish. “

“On paper he was my most complex opponent so far, and I stopped him. I passed every test that stayed in front of me, and I feel that I am now ready to fight for the title of world champion. I want the next one. “

Here’s what the fighters had to say on Thursday:

Caleb plant

“Expect fireworks. Me and my team were demanding to cut, and once called, I will come on him.

“Armando thinks that he can beat me, and this is enough to piss me off. He knows what comes to him.

“I will not turn away from the fight that is in front of me. It has happened so many times in which warriors are so worried about the next fight, and do not win the fight before them. I do not let it happen. Armando comes to my place, but I will not let it happen.

“The first thing in question is a great performance on May 31. I want Charlo, Edgar Berlang, Jaime Mungui, Diego Pasteco and everyone who is there. Then I will finish where I should be. I will choose them one by one.

“Some warriors are losing and their confidence is broken. Perhaps their confidence was false to start with. The loss never made me not to do what I am able to do. I take these experiences and learn to adapt, which many warriors cannot do.

“Experience is not something you can buy or borrow. You have to go through fire. I was at the largest stages in boxing. Every time you get these experiences, you go to the next fight.

“I’m too mighty, I’m too rapid and I’m too glossy for Armando. I have a great team with me. We are team A. We come to win and win.

“I want to win and the desire to be a champion. Even with the success he has suffered, this desire does not darken at all.

“I strongly feel that you should have fun, doing what you like to do. Boxing is a place where I can let go. When this bell rings, then I can be myself.”

Armando Resendiz

“I really can’t wait for this fight. I’m in great shape because I face an elite warrior who achieved a lot. My dream has always been to fight the best, and this fulfills my dream. We’ll give fans a great fight.

“I know that Caleb remembers me from these sparring sessions. I think it was just before Canelo’s fight. I know I have tools to overcome this challenge.

“I think Caleb has a selective memory of our sparrings. They pulled me out of the gym for some reason. I will show him exactly how much I grew up on May 31.

“I don’t care about anyone other than my team and my family. I am here, fulfilling my dreams. I am a Mexican warrior and people will see what I am capable. It is not because I think I can win, it’s because I know I can win.

“The training camp goes great and I had really good sparring sessions. I feel really confident and I’m ready to do it.

“Like a Mexican warrior I am, I always put the best foot forward. I believe in what I can do. My career had ups and downs, but I realized that there is no opponent I would be afraid of.

“Fights that I had in the past will let me be even stronger this time.”

Jermall Charlo

“It will be a fight. I have to do what I always do. He will come to me and make it fight it. I expect that the best of him and I will be ready to make corrections.

“Thomas Lamanna stands on the way to my goals and dreams. But I am ready to stand with him in paint.

“I am ready to go back to the ring. These two years helped me. They forced me better. Not only did I not get injured, but made me stronger.

“I came back 100%. I feel stronger and better. I fully came back. My team is better and everything falls perfectly. I restored Houston on my back. I can wear them now.

“There is a larger fish for frying. I only hope that Thomas can return to his family elated.”

Thomas Lamanna

“We will shock the world on May 31. This is what we come.

“I am glad that this fight is finally here. Time is appropriate and I am excited and ready. We will both be in this ring and ready to rumble.

“He is who he is in this sport. He has not been for some time, but he has never been lost. This is the biggest fight in my life and I trained yes.

“I had much more experience since I fought with Erislanda Lara. The best lesson in my life is experience. Every day you become better. I felt more comfortable with the last nine wins.

“When the connection came to this fight, I answered. I am here to write my own heritage.”
