Joshua Van, Manel Kape fire shots at each other ahead of potential title fight: 'Finally came out of hiding'
Published

Joshua Van and Manel Kape are seemingly gearing up for their potential title fight.
Van defended his flyweight title at UFC 331 when he beat Alexandre Pantoja by decision in the rematch. It was a stellar performance, and after the win, it seemed set that Kape would get the next title shot.
Although nothing is booked, the two are already taking shots at one another, as Joshua Van warned him about making weight.
Yo fat fuck
Start cutting now cuz u better make weight !!
We don't want another weight excuse.
Let's give the people wht they want!!!#tittyboi— Joshua Van (@JoshuaVanBT) September 30, 2026
“Yo fat f**k. Start cutting now cuz you better make weight! We don't want another weight excuse. Let's give the people what they want,†Van wrote on X.
Despite not mentioning Kape in the post, the top contender saw it and fired back at Van.
“Finally came out of hiding, son? They told me you weren't sure about facing your dad, but I guess there's nowhere left to run. I promised I'd change your diapers, & I always keep my word. By the way, the weight I'm putting on is just so I can put you to sleep even earlier than Charles Johnson did,†Kape added.
It's clear that Joshua Van and Manel Kape don't like each other, and once their fight is announced, the build-up will be filled with trash talk.
Joshua Van and Manel Kape continue to take shots
After Kape accused Van of hiding, the UFC's flyweight champion didn't think that was the case at all.
“Hiding ?? I been here, like I always am. You just too busy shopping for bra , udk wht been goin on,†Van added.
Kape, meanwhile, was quick to respond and gave a warning to Van for their potential fight and how it will play out.
“The only things I've been shopping for are diapers & your health insurance. Trust me, you're gonna need both. And like a good father, I'm making sure everything's taken care of in advance. I only need One clean shot and your face won't match your passport anymore. #disfigured,†Kape responded.
Currently, Van vs. Kape isn't announced, but it should be booked soon and will be highly anticipated.
Who do you think will win, Joshua Van or Manel Kape?

cruiserweight crossover title in Abu Dhabi
Covington captured RAF's inaugural cruiserweight crossover
championship by defeating Arman

Burns. That bout served as the co-headliner at RAF 13, where
Covington defended his title against Belal
Muhammad.
The feud between Covington and Chimaev dates back to Covington's
time in the UFC, and the bad blood continues to this day.
RAF Abu Dhabi will also feature Arman

with their opponents yet to be announced.

Dana White gives encouraging update on Raoni Barcelos

White has addressed Raoni
Barcelos' concerning stoppage loss to Raul Rosas
Jr.
Barcelos was ahead on the judges' scorecards heading into the fifth
round of his
Ultimate Fighting Championship main event against Rosas Jr. at
Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Sept. 26. However, the Brazilian appeared
to lose consciousness during a wrestling exchange against the
Octagon wall, prompting the referee to stop the
UFC Vegas 121 headliner. He was later removed from the Octagon
on a stretcher.
Raoni Barcelos is conscious and walking as doctors await test
results
Barcelos was transported to a hospital, where he subsequently
regained consciousness. According to White, Barcelos is lucid and
able to walk while awaiting test results to determine what caused
the episode.
White said all pre-fight medicals were triple-checked before the
event. According to the UFC CEO, three ambulances and six doctors
were present at Meta APEX when Barcelos lost consciousness. White
also said Barcelos was sent directly to a Level I trauma center
rather than Valley Hospital.
“All the pre-fight medicals were triple-checked; everything was
good,†White said at the
Dana White's Contender Series Season 10
Week 8 post-fight presser. “There were six doctors here that
night, three ambulances. He was taken straight to the trauma
center, not to Valley. Everything was done the right way and the
outcome was good.â€
As for whether Barcelos will fight again, White said his primary
concern is the 39-year-old's health.
