Joshua Buatsi looks to get back to winning ways and stay on course for a maiden world title shot when he faces Zach Parker in Manchester on Saturday.

Buatsi and Parker fight for the WBO International lithe heavyweight crown over 10 rounds at the Co-op Live Arena, live on DAZN.

Buatsi, who is making his debut with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, wants to get back into the fight for the world title after suffering his first professional defeat in February. overtaken by British rival Callum Smith in the fight of the year in Riyad.

The 32-year-old lost his interim WBO crown, but still holds a high position in the governing body, and a win here will earn him a shot at unified world champion Dmitry Bivol.

The Olympic bronze medalist will also be closely watching long-time rival Anthony Yarde, who will face David Benavidez on November 22 for the WBC world title.

Parker, 31, moved up from super middleweight in his last outing, beating Mickael Diallo by unanimous decision in February.

Derby had no shot at the 168-pound world title after retiring due to injury against John Ryder in 2022, but victory here also set up his future meeting with Bivol, ranked No. 3 by the WBO.

Prediction: Parker is a crafty boxer and should give Buatsi a stern test, but I expect Buatsi to hang in there down the stretch and secure a unanimous decision win.

Rhea fights Arthur

Bradley Rea puts his European lithe heavyweight title on the line against Lyndon Arthur in an all-Manchester support clash.

Rea won the European belt with a points victory over Shakan Pitters in June.

Arthur has won just one of his last three fights and looks set to bounce back from a loss to the aforementioned Yard, who defeated him on points in his third fight in April.

Prediction: Arthur’s experience should prove crucial here and with the points he gains, he could become the fresh champion.

Cameron argues with Jones

The third highlight in the lithe heavyweight division is the return of Liam Cameron to action after a 10-round clash with Troy Jones.

After a controversial technical draw with Ben WhittakerIn April, Cameron suffered a defeat in the second round to a player from Birmingham.

Jones lost only once to Ezra Taylor in May and has a minor points win over Bahadur Karami.

Prediction: Cameron should score.

Undercard remaining

Elsewhere in the lithe heavyweight division, Billy Deniz should remain undefeated with an eight-round points victory over Ezra Arenyeka.

Bolton super lightweight Khaleel Majid should extend his undefeated record with a 10-round victory over Dave Ryan.

In the middleweight division, Stephen Clarke should defeat the robust Jose Aguirre on points over six rounds.

Super bantamweight prospect Leighton Birchall can make it three straight stoppages with a win over Wilbert Panttin before concluding his four-round fight.

Jermaine Dhliwayo can make it eight in a row in his professional career after beating super featherweight Cesar Ignacio Paredes on points. Their fight will last four rounds.

Bradley Casey should beat Antonio Borovina the distance in a four-round heavyweight bout, while Leon Hughes could do the same against Pavol Garaj at lithe heavyweight.

Liverpool welterweight Luke Prior will score on his debut against Eduardo Vera Sanchez, while fellow debutant John Tom Varey could do the same against Brandon Gallardo Vargas.
