Jose Delgado breaks social media silence after Noche UFC 4 main event loss

UFC featherweight fan favorite Jean Silva handed Jose Delgado his first stoppage defeat in the Noche UFC main event last Saturday in Glendale. In Round 3 of their headliner, Silva sunk in a rear-naked choke to put Delgado to sleep and earn another impressive win.
It was a disappointing showing for Delgado after he took the short-notice main event booking against Silva. Delgado filled in for the injured Yair Rodriguez for his first main event in the UFC.
Delgado helped build up the fight with Silva for weeks, promising to hand the dangerous featherweight a decisive loss in the Octagon. Despite suffering from the jaws of defeat at Noche UFC, Delgado is taking the lessons learned from the experience.
Jose Delgado ‘heartbroken' after submission loss to Jean Silva
In a recent Instagram post, Delgado shared his first comments after Noche UFC.
“Well, s— so it goes. Dared to be great yesterday and came up short. But man, I loved every second of being on that stage with high-level opposition; that includes the heartbreaking pain of failure,†Delgado posted.
“Pure freedom. Insert something cliché about bouncing back here. Thank you to God for His guidance and my village for backing me. Also, thanks to everyone in that arena for making that walk what it was. Love y'all.â€
Before losing to Silva, Delgado earned recent wins over Austin Bashi and Andre Fili. The Dana White's Contender Series alum made his promotional debut in February 2025 following a knockout over Ernie Juarez on the show.
As for Silva, he's back in the featherweight title mix following his performance at Noche UFC. He could potentially be booked for a No. 1 contender bout for his next Octagon appearance.

The assignment comes after Haggerty watched his brother, Freddie Haggerty, grind out a unanimous decision over Rungruanglek TN Muaythai at The Inner Circle 30 in Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium, a result that pushed Freddie's record to 25-5 and snapped Rungruanglek's five-fight winning streak. Freddie dropped Rungruanglek twice across the opening two rounds before closing the fight out on the back foot with sharp counters.
“It was a great performance. It was pushing for the stoppage, but we didn't get it,†Jonathan said. “It's all love; it's a learning curve. In this sport, you can never stop learning, so we'll go back to the drawing board.â€
Jonathan Haggerty predicts fireworks against Akimoto
Watching his brother's disciplined performance seemed to sharpen Jonathan's own approach heading into his title defense. He has never been one to shy away from bold declarations before a fight, and this time is no different.
The 29-year-old Englishman has spent a run spanning multiple weight classes and two disciplines building toward this kind of stage, defending gold on home soil in Japan against a fighter who once held the very title he now carries.
