Joe Cordina predicts that noakes himself will stun Abdullah Mason for an empty WBO airy title
Published

Joe Cordina believes that #1 Sam Noakes defeats #2 Abdullah Mason when they fight for the empty WBO title. The World Boxing Organization ordered Mason (19-0, 17 KO) and Noakes (17-0, 15 KO) to start negotiations on the fight for the title they deprived of Keyshawn Davis last week for the missing weight.
Forecast Noakes Cordina
Mason is perceived as a future star at the age of 135 and is expected to facilitate the work of inexperienced noakes. For Cordina to be right with his forecast, noakes would have to be a much better warrior than fans perceive him as.
The former super feather champion IBF Cordnia (17-1, 9 Kos) wants to fight Noakes if he gets a airy WBO title. 33 -year -old Joe missed the fight with the WBC Lightweight Shakur Stevenson champion in October last year, when Rodak from Up-to-date Jersey suffered a hand injury, forcing him to withdraw.
It would be a chance of Cordina to rebuild a career after the defeat of TKO from the eighth round against Anthony Cacana last year in May 2024.
“Now that he is fighting for the world championship title, I think he can probably win it if he gets his tactics at night,” said Joe Cordina Boxing news About his belief that Noakes himself can defeat Abdullah Mason when they fight for a free airy WBO belt. “So it will be a huge fight for Great Britain because it concerns the title of the world.”
Noakes: Straightforward Mason’s opponent
The forecasting of Cordina by Noakes overcoming Mason’s “conveniently” sounds in the insincer and it makes no sense. On paper it is an early win for Mason over four rounds. At best, Noakes will reach the sixth if Abdullah fights conservatively, as in his last fight again, a veteran tightening the power of Jeremia Nakathila on June 7. Mason stopped him in six rounds. He had to hurry with Nakathil because he has power at the level of everyone in the division. Noakes are too narrow in the defensive to last as long as Nakathila.
“Of course, I have to do my work primarily in three weeks [against Jaret Gonzalez Quiroz on July 5th]Cordina said. “Yes, it could be a massive fight in Great Britain [against Noakes]. He must do his piece and I have to do something, “Cordina said, when asked about his interest in potentially facing Noakes with a airy WBO title on the 5 V 5.”
As Cordina was inactive, there would be no shock if Quiros defeated him next month, because Joe leaves a 14-month dismissal after losing to Cacace. What’s more, Cordina will turn 34 soon and is no longer a spring chicken. The age and course of his number of meters exhausting the fights with Cacace, Edward Vazquez and Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov will take too much. These were the last three fights of Cordina.
“Clouds” of Cordina’s reality
“It’s fantasy at the moment. They [Noakes and Mason] I have not yet come to an agreement with which they are fighting. We don’t know how long before this fight occurs. So I can have two fights – said Cordina.
It seems that Cordina lives in the clouds, dreams of a pretending situation that has no chance. The reality is that Noakes will probably lose badly with Abdullah Mason during defeat, and Cordina will be knocked out by a 24-year-old Mexican warrior Quiros. His career will be in the mud and there will be nothing that he will not be able to get out of it. Cordina doesn’t see things they really are.

Richardson Hitchins falls and stops George Cambosos in eight

George Cambosos desperately needed to win on Saturday evening when he fought Richardson Hitchins at the Hulu Novel York theater. There was a lightweight world title Cambosos was now in the role of Challenger. What’s more, the 32 -year -old Australian lost three of the last six fights. And, as if all this was not enough, the defender of Master Hitchins entered the ring both undefeated and about five years younger than the former world list. Hitchins’ loss could make Cambosos in a airy division yesterday – something that the man was undoubtedly aware.
Cambosos pushed the action in the first, although Hitchins put his long, mighty stab to utilize later in the round. Hitchins came to a second, spitting out stabs and power arrows. However, Cambosos maintained pressure. The third was close and high octane romance, although Hitchings could ride it through a cleaner blow. After the fourth, it became clear that Cambosos’s plain attack did not serve him well. If he hired certain angles, Hitchins would not be able to fight as it is today.
Hitchins hurt his man at the end of the sixth. It looked like the end of the line for Cambosos, but the brave Australian hung and fought to the bell ending at the round. Although he did not seem to win the fight, Cambosos deserved to be recognized in seventh place for digging deep and giving every ounce. Unfortunately, for the vintage world titles it did not look like that. Indeed, Cambosos energy levels fell by seventh place. He could still have energy explosions, but battle consumption was shown.
In eighth place it was obvious that Hitchins was not only an aggressor, but he beat Cambosos very much. Brutal law, and then precisely shot with a guide, sent Cambosos to the mat. Cambsos was able to get up, but he looked so bruised and beaten that the judge wisely stopped fighting. If the fight could continue, Cambosos could really hurt.
“If you don’t know,” Richardson said after the fight, “You know now.” Then he said in a rather vulgar way in which he wanted to face Devin Haney (fighters know how to do it). “This is,” said a cheerful, respectful Cambosos. “Cheerful birthday to Richie.”

Hitchins dominates, stops Cambosos to keep the title of IBF

Richardson Hitchins produced the surgical beating of the former united featherlight champion, George Cambosos Jr. With a knockout of the 8th round to maintain the IBF welterweight championship at the Madison Square Garden theater in Novel York.
It was a controversial structure of the fight when Hitchins and Cambosos showed their bad blood during the week of fighting numerous verbal exchanges. But Hitchins (20-0, 8 KO) recently laughed, knocking out Cambosos (22-4, 10 KO) with a shot in the body just a few seconds after screaming to the corner of the opponent to stop the fight.
It was a one -sided Hitchins performance, 27 years vintage, who promised to end the fight at a distance.
“I told the boxing world that I was coming and they should have heard,” said Hitchins. “I’m here now.”
32-year-old Cambosos Jr. He tried to become a champion of two divisions after he was a united champion of lightweight, when he upset Teofimo Lopez in 2021. However, he had 2-3 in the last five struggles with losses for Devin Haney (twice) and Vasiliy Lomachenko before entering the ring with Hitchins. It was a brave performance of Cambosos, but his younger and faster opponent seriously spoken him. According to Compubox, Hitchins landed 205 out of 398 stamps (52%), while Cambosos was able to connect only on 57 out of 384 hit, which is a low 15% clip.
Cambosos remained on the front foot early to get inside, but Hitchins used his six -inch advantage to control the distance, throwing stab and putting his right hand behind.
After two rounds, Cambosos already had injuries from JAB Hitchins with mice under the right eye. But Australian was determined and continued to move forward. Hitchins took advantage of Cambosos’s frustration, choosing his progress with a combination of impact.
In the 5 round, Hitchins wounded Cambosos with a blow and patiently cut his wounded opponent. It is only a matter of time before the opportunity introduced itself again, and Hitchins fully used in round 8.
“I part of the blood in the water,” said Hitchins. “I knew that I had to go to some threatening places to make good shots. I knew I had a good defense and I could do a blow. He didn’t hurt me, so I went to the murder.”
Hitchins opened the eighth round with his left hooks, which found their mark. Hitchins began to talk to the corner of Cambosos, asking them if they wanted to stop the fight before the left in the body, sent the Australian on canvas for good at 2:33.
“I told my father, if you love your son, you would stop the fight,” Hitchins replied when he asked what he said to the corner of Cambosos.
It was the first defense of the Hitchins title after defeating Liam Paro in December, and it was his best performance so far. After winning, Hitchins announced that he would be a free agent and called for the former undisputed featherlight champion Haney. But the WBO Junior D Junior Wadzka, Lopez, entered the ring and called for unification between them.
Hitchins does not lack the option of his next defense of the title, but that night the Brooklynite performance formally announced his arrival as one of the best fighters in the Junior welterweight division.

Boxing results: Olympic gold medalist Andy Cruz stops Hironori Mishiro in round 5, progress in a featherlight eliminator

Olympic gold medalist 2020 Andy Cruz (6-0, 3 KO) was excellent on Saturday evening, crushing Hironori Mishiro (17-2-1, 6 Kos) by a technical knockout in the fifth round in the eliminator of the featherlight IBF title at the theater in Madison Square Garden in Up-to-date York. Cruz used his power stab during the fight to mark Mishiro.
In the third round, Cruz opened his right hands, dropped twice. The second touched took place in the last seconds of the third. If not, he would certainly be finished by Cuban talent.
Cruz took the fourth round, mainly stabbing, moving, and from time to time landing his right hands. On the fifth Andy he followed Mishiro, landing a combination of three strokes that had come to him, forcing the judge to enter and stop the competition. Time was at 1:13 round.
Mishiro tried to adapt and show more aggression in four and five rounds, but it didn’t work. It can be said that his corner received instructions to go to the attack because he was killed by Cruz in the first three rounds. It didn’t work.
Cruza’s performance has so far been the best on today’s card. It was a master class, showing the skills that other warriors on the match card could only dream.
Together with the victory, Cruz is now a mandatory claimant for the featherlight champion IBF Raymond Muratalla. This fight will soon be ordered and it will be engaging to see how Muratalla promoters are trying to delay this fight to the highest extent. They cannot be excited to permission to his warrior Muratalla defend himself against a phenomenon such as Andy Cruz, because he is at a different level in terms of skill.
Muratalla is a great blow, but it is one -dimensional and fights like a robot. What’s more, he fights for one equipment and does not augment the pace of his fights. He could have been filled as Mishiro was tonight.
