Hype Fighting Championship returns to Brazil with another star-studded combat sports showcase featuring elite submission grappling and bare-knuckle fighting in one of the fight capitals of the country.
The event takes place Wednesday, April 8, 2026at the Komplexo Tempo Arena in São Paulo, Brazil, less than four weeks after the promotion’s successful return to Rio de Janeiro.
Fans around the world will be able to watch the entire card live on pay-per-view for $29.99 on multiple platforms including DirecTV, Dish Network, BASH TV, PPV.com, Triller TV, Fubo and Rogers in Canada.
The event is characterized by three elite grappling fights requiring submission featuring the most recognizable names in combat sports, as well as a full range of bare-knuckle fights featuring the best Brazilian talents.
The main event will be a fascinating style clash between rising Brazilian star Jean Silva and former UFC bantamweight title challenger Marlon Vera in A submission-only grappling contest.
Silva enters the fight with great momentum after: a resounding decision victory over Arnold Allen at UFC 324which pushed him back into the featherweight title conversation. The Brazilian fan favorite is also doing his thing second appearance on Hype Brazil in just a few weekswho previously competed against Bryce Mitchell at a recent promotional event in Rio.
Silva has made his ambitions clear as he continues to chase a title shot against current champion Alexander Volkanovski.
Vera, known to fans as “Chito,” brings elite durability and a threatening submission instinct to the fight. The experienced Ecuadorian striker and grappler will be looking to break his recent skid by proving that his skills can be used in multiple fighting formats.
Another generational clash will take center stage in the co-main event as former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo takes on rising grappling prodigy Raúl Rosas Jr.
Called “God of War” Figueiredo is one of the most successful flyweight champions in UFC history, known for his finishing skills and threatening grappling.
Opposite him will be Rosas Jr., who has become the youngest fighter to ever compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most invigorating adolescent submission specialists.
Collision pits elite championship experience against fearless youthmaking it one of the most intriguing grappling events on the card.
Submission grappling legend João Miyao also returns to action in a high-profile fight against Dennis Oliveira.
Miyao is widely considered one of the greatest grapplers in the sport and has a track record of success IBJJF world titles and a reputation for relentless pace and technical precision.
His fight with Oliveira is expected to be a technical showcase for high-level Brazilian jiu-jitsu fans.
The event will also feature a series of bare-knuckle fights, during which emerging Brazilian talents will be presented.
On the main card, Marfio Canoletti will face Cicero Coutinho in a fierce fight.

MMA Fighting has PFL D.C. results for the Jean vs. Rodriguez fight card from CareFirst Arena, Washington, D.C on Saturday night.
In the main event, Thad Jean takes on late-notice replacement Ernesto Rodriguez for the vacant PFL welterweight title. The 2025 PFL welterweight champion, Jean was originally scheduled to face 2024 PFL champion Shamil Musaev in the bout, but Musaev withdrew this week, allowing Rodriguez, who was booked to fight Aaron McKenzie on the undercard, to step in.
A light heavyweight slugfest between Tyson Pedro and Rafael Xavier serves as the co-main event.
The PFL D.C. prelim card kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+, with the main card following at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Thad Jean vs. Ernesto Rodriguez — Vacant welterweight title fight
UFC Abu Dhabi has taken a late just before the event was set to kick off.
Saturday's Fight Night card will go down with only 12 bouts after the cancellation of a main card bout between Islam Dulatov and Wellington Turman, the promotion announced just hours before the start of the event.
According to the promotion, Dulatov was forced off the welterweight bout due to illness. On a statement posted on Dulatov's social media Saturday morning, his team revealed the fighter had to be hospitalized on Friday.
“Last night, Islam was admitted to the hospital due to an infection and spent several hours receiving medical treatment,†the statement read. “Despite every effort to keep the fight on, the decision was made together with the UFC to withdraw him from the bout in the interest of his health and well-being. Right now, the only priority is for Islam to make a full recovery. He will personally address everyone with a statement as soon as he is able.â€
Dulatov's team added that “Islam will use this time to recover completely and will come back stronger than ever.â€
Turman, who was set to make his return to the cage after two and a half years away, sidelined that long due to four shoulder surgeries, said on his social media he wishes Dulatov a quick recovery and hopes for a fast turnaround, re-booking the Dulatov bout or facing a new opponent instead.
The UFC has yet to announce if a fight will be moved to the main card.
