Jake Paul’s most valuable promotions were continued to invest in the boxing of women with the signatures of the master of super weight Middle in IBF Savannah Marshall and the ephemeral owner of WBC, Chantelle Cameron, promotion revealed on Monday ESPN.

The additions of former unquestioned masters boost the already forceful list of women’s boxers, because the most valuable promotions are now offered by four of the 10 best ESPN fighters.

“Savannah Marshall and Chantelle Cameron are world-class athletes who represent the best boxes for women and the proud tradition of the Great Britain masters. Now, together with Ellie Scotney, MVP is the most dominant list of British athletes of women in boxing,” said MVP Paul and Cook Bidarian co-founders. “Like Amanda Serrano and Alycia Baumgardner, Savannah and Chantelle, they have reached the peak of this sport, becoming the undisputed masters, giving them experience, perspective and platform to lead the next generation. We can’t wait for their debuts of MVP in the coming weeks.”

Marshall (13-1, 10 KO) is a world champion in two divisions. It maintained the title WBO Average weight in 2020-2022, after which she abandoned the unanimous decision about the current ESPN fighter No. 1 pound, Claress Shields, in the first versatile boxing card in Great Britain in September 2022, he bounced off the loss, defeating Franchon Crews-Dezurn in 2023. Marshall attacks the return to the ring after trying his hand in MMA, stopping Mirela Vargas in the first round at PFL Europe in Newcastle in June 2024.

“The plan is to support Savannah in the implementation of all fights that is interested, which includes a rematch with Claressa Shields,” said Bidarian ESPN.

“I am glad that I am now part of MVP – which, more than any other promoter, recognize the value that women bring to this sport,” said Marshall. “As a world champion in two weighs and previously reached unquestioned, it seems that he is natural here and I can’t wait to start fighting under their banner.”

Cameron (20-1, 8 KO) became the undisputed champion of the welterweight master in 2022, when she dethroned Jessica McCaskill by a unanimous decision. This also maintains this distinction as the first and only woman who defeated Katie Taylor when she reversed the challenge of the Irish for her undisputed status in 2023. Since then, Cameron won the fights and will have an eye on the winner of the fight Taylor with Amanda Serrano on July 11.

“If anyone wins, they intend to keep the belt in the long run, they will have to face Chantelle,” said Bidarian about Cameron’s plans.

“I am very excited about this movement. MVP did not encourage talks about myself and female boxing,” said Cameron. “This is a fantastic opportunity for the next stage of my career and an unbelievable platform to present my boxing skills.”

The debut fights of Marshall and Cameron with the promotion will be announced in the coming weeks.

Among the debris of war, Vasiliy Lomachenko’s dream will survive

Published

on

Camarillo, California – fights are often compared with wars, although this is no longer a metaphor for Vasiliy Lomachenko cares about devoting. Not anymore. Not after watching a real thing.

With regard to the war, a two -time gold medalist of Ukraine, considered for several years to be the largest warrior in the world, has something to do with the average American. “I saw war only on television before,” he said by the translator. “I had no idea: the buildings are destroyed, the cities are encountered from the map, people are killed. I did not take it personally, because it did not happen to me. It happened somewhere else with someone else.”

For some reason, a rocket hit remains with him. This hit a popular holiday destination on the Black Sea coast, maybe half a mile from the place where he stayed, maybe less, but left more than a few buildings in ruins. “I will remember this moment forever because my whole family was there,” said Lomachenko. “I don’t mean only my parents and my children, but my family.”

One can only imagine that excessive emotions such as a blow can move, even in one of them as existing, driven and pre -composed as Lomachenko: fear, rage, panic, confusion. But perhaps, perhaps the most perversely wonderful of all, Lomachenko’s career arch is different in the history of very venerable sport: 396 wins in relation to one defeat (of course Avenged) at amateurs, these gold medals, the title only in his third professional fight and stripes in three divisions. None of them – none of them were left to accident.

Yes, with the 35th birthday approaching in February, the war cost him in the last thing, which he really wanted from boxing – “My Dream”, calls it – the undisputed airy title, all four main belts.

But … So what? The whole family was destroyed in a rocket hit. Besides, he is still hunting. He fights with Jamaine Ortiz, the eighth WBC ranking at Hul theater in Madison Square Garden on Saturday (22:00 ET at ESPN+). It turns out that he is still in the game for the undisputed, not considered the likely result in February.

When the army of Vladimir Putin attacked Ukraine, Lomachenko was in an orthodox monastery in Greece. His Lithuanian manager, Egis Klimas – obliged only to protect the interest of his warrior – advised Loma to attract his family and go directly to Camarillo, where he maintains the house and training center. Finally, it was thought that the war would be brutal and brief, the fact was achieved. Loma was a warrior-with a versatile agreement to fight George Cambosos Jr. For all airy belts-not a war hero.

“How could I do it?” Lomachenko said this week. “I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night. I wouldn’t be able to take care of my life if I did it if I ran away. … The enemy attacked our country. Civilians are killed. Women and children die. Every man in my position, every real person would remain to protect his home.”

The last picture that most people saw from the Loma dated in February last year, when he enlisted to the local defense battalion. He is seen in combat fatigue, the rifle flew to his back.

You never know what the warrior really feels, but it wasn’t a fight. So he came neat: “fear and confusion,” he said, the wrong emotions for the great Lomachenko. “I tried to understand what was going on and what would happen.”

What did your day look like? I’m wondering.

“I wasn’t on the first line or on the battlefield,” he said quickly. “I wasn’t in battle.”

Lucky Guy again.

“The first days passed quickly because the situation would change really quickly,” he said. “Our group was supposed to patrol the city after a police hour. The police ration began at 22:00, when we start to combine the streets. To notice a person who should not be outside, or a car that should not be on the way. You must be as vigilant as during the fight.”

So the great Luchenko got a night shift. I wonder how he slept.

“I slept well,” he said. “I was exhausted.”

Especially after they let him train. “Four times a week,” he said. “I had a special schedule in the army [facility]. They gave me time for training because they understood my dream. “

However, despite the whole conversation about his dream, he never questioned his decision to fight Cambosos for all lanes. Instead, the shot went to a very talented youthful star, Devin Haney.

“He doesn’t regret it,” he said. “Nothing. .”

Still, are you wondering what is going through Lomachenko’s mind, watching it?

“I didn’t see it,” he said. “I slept.”

Lomachenko will allow the first fight in June not what he expected: “I thought he would fight Cambosos.” As for the rematch, he is a cage in his opinion of Haney: “He was good. He was wise. He showed why he was better than George Cambosos.”

You were not impressed?

“I’m not easily impressed.”

23 Haneya. The kid traveled 8,000 miles, fought before the hostile crowd of the stadium, returned a few months later and did it again, throwing another closure or damn close to him.

“I wouldn’t call it a heroic feat,” said Lomachenko. “This is something we all do. … He went to another country; he won the fight and returned. This is common practice.”

There is a final game here. Like Ukraine, the dream of this Ukrainian survived. Anyway, to do that he must go through Haney.

Would you give him the same licenses during the negotiations that Cambosos gave? I’m asking.

“You know my answer,” he said. “

What if Haney wants to fight in his hometown in Oakland? Is his adopted family city, Las Vegas?

“I don’t care about this place,” said Lomachenko. “I don’t care. I will go there as long as the belts are threatened.”

What if he says, “I want a rematch clause”?

“Of course. I will be ready for each of his conditions.”

Many warriors talk about it. Actually, most of them. And most of them lie, otherwise sport would not be in a balanced state in which it is located. However, I don’t think Lomachenko is lying. Never about this.

None of the arrows is not popular for him. He comes from a long dismissal, in which the training was far from typical. It’s 11 years older than Haney. It is diminutive for division, while Haney crashes at the seams. What’s more, Lomachenko lost his aura of invincibility over two years ago, when Teofimo Lopez defeated him. But here is a really extraordinary introduction, at least for a warrior:

“Let me explain,,” said Lomachenko. “He is the undisputed champion. He is a party. [Gervonta] Davis or [Ryan] Garcia or Shakur [Stevenson]. “

We really can’t argue with it. In the meantime, however, Jamaine Ortiz, which – although no Haney – is, like most perspectives of Lomachenko opponents, larger and younger and longer.

So why orthosis?

“Because he is youthful and undefeated and technically qualified boxer. I earlier with him” – for the unanimous decision of Lomachenko over Richard Commey – “and it was not straightforward.”

Lomachenko was not among those like me who surprised that Ortiz defeated Jamel Herring.

“I understand what Ortiz can do: good combinations, very quickly. He felt the distance and worked very well on his feet. He understands boxing.”

This is the highest compliment of Lomachenko, which is a warrior. It means understanding the basic elements of distance, time, mental fortitude. It means understanding the fight as a sport, not war.

Today’s live results: Abdullah Mason vs. Jeremia Nakathila – from Norfolk

Image: Tonight's Live Results: Abdullah Mason vs. Jeremia Nakathila - From Norfolk

Abdullah Mason, a claimant for Lawoight, has the opportunity to shine today against Jeremiie Nakathila in a 10-round Headliner at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Mason (18-0, 16 KO) appeared to save the program for the highest rank with the departure of Keyshawna Davis from the main event yesterday.

Watch the fight live on ESPN.

Abdullah Mason vs. Nakathila: Live results

– – Nahir Albright (17-2, 7 KO) annoyed the previously undefeated lightweight half-weight Kelvin Davis (15-1, 8 KO) according to the 10-government majority decision in a unilateral fight. Albright stuck Davis in rounds 2 and 4 with huge shots. From that moment, skinny 6’3 ″ Kelvin resembled an octopus, holding on a continuous and moving way as much on delicate legs.

It was ugly watching all holding from him. Although the judge gave 28 -year -old Kelvin repetitive warnings, he never took a point. The score was as destitute as the previous fight, and the judges shot it 95-95, 97-93 and 96-94. Boxing News 24 won 9-1 for Albright.

The only round Kelvin seemed to win round 1, and even in this round was Albright. Two huge shots landed in this round. With a better set of judges, this should be a result of 100-90, and Albright won all 10 rounds.

– – Johnson’s “Tiger” on the front (16-0, 7 KO) won a dubious 10-round unanimous decision against Janelson Figueroa Bocca (17-4-1, 11 KO) in a airy welterweight. The results are 100-90, 97-93, 98-92. Boxing News 24 shot him at Boachica 6-4. Olympian 2020 “Tiger” looked shy and scared during the fight, and did not let his hand release until the eighth round.

However, he then returned to his shell after he made several huge shots from the sides in the ninth round. At 10. There was no action in the round, because they both looked like frozen statues, booed by the crowd. The crowd booed from the sixth round because they were dissatisfied with how few blows were thrown.

The highest rank must find out what they want to do with Tiger, 26 years antique, because he has not shown how a crime or ruler suggests that he can win the title of world champion at the age of 140. It is great that he fought in the Olympic Games in 2020, but they are professionals and is not sent.

– – Troy Isley (15-0, 5 KO) defeated Eoundi Michel William (16-2, 12 KO) by a competitive 10-round unanimous decision in medium weight action. The fight was one and back, and Isley finally moved away in the master rounds.

The results are 98-92, 96-94 and 96-94. The last two results were more representative for the type of fight than wide 98-92. The lack of impact strength Isley stopped him. He can’t hit and fights when entering the fighters with any pop.

– – Keon Davis (4-0, 3 KO) He stopped Michael Velez (3-1, 2 KO) in the second round of the planned Six-Lawygrovian welterweight clash. Keon, 23-year-old brother Keyshawn Davis, landed with a low left hook for Velez’s body to put him in the second round. Velez crawled into his angle with an expression of pain on his face and was counted. The stop time was 2:22 in the second round.

This is the largest puncher with which the Mason suited. It is a fight that indicates whether it has defense and resistance to the action at the top. This is a fight that can change Abdullah into a star with fans if he blur Nakathila in the first round of KO.

Two years ago, Jeremia was knocked out twice in the second round by Large Punchers. So Mason must focus on getting him out as soon as possible.

Nakathila (26-4, 21 KO) will attack today’s Mason for Mason, hoping that taking advantage of his reputation, that he would be susceptible to head arrows by huge puncher. A victory for Nakathil, 35 years antique, will provide him with a well -paid rematch against Abdullah.

Today’s main card

– Abdullah Mason vs. Jeremia Nakasihila – Headliner
-Kelvin Davis vs. Nahir Albright-Scholar

Prelims on Espn+

– Tiger Johnson vs. Janelson Boczyica
– Troy Isley vs. Etondi Michel William
– Keon Davis vs. Michael Velez

Mason-nakathila start time and channel

The main Mason-Nakathila card starts at 22:00 et / 19:00 PT at ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+. The introductory card starts at 18:00 et /15: 00 PT at ESPN+.

In the main fight of support Kelvin Davis (15-0, 8 KO) takes a step against Nahir Albright (16-2, 7 KO) in a 10-round fight. This is a risky fight for 28 -year -old Kelvin, because Albright has experience, speed and talent that can cause nervousness. Two years ago, Nahir approached Keyshawn in a 10-round decision.

Kelvin was raised from the estate to the main card after pulling his brother Keyshawn due to weight problems. It may be good if Kelvin wins, but it may also end with a disaster if he is unveiled by Nahir.

It is far from a struggle for Kelvin Davis. It is more 50-50, and it can even be 40-60, if Albright is in the same form in which he was when he fought Keyshawn.

Fabio Wardley is hit by Justis Huni to show the title certificates

Published

on

Fabio Wardley provided more convincing evidence of his impact power to knock off Justis Huni in round 10, when on Saturday he lost the fight in front of his home fans in Ipswich, England.

Huni dominated the fight until Wardley (19-0-1, 18 KO) landed with a huge right hand to the jaw, which left the Australian apartment on his back, so that the thrill of emotions about 20,000 Wardley fans at the Portman Stadium Stadium Stadium Stadium stadium stadium. Despite the fact that he was behind the results cards and looking for a defeat, Wardley created a dynamite finish he needed to take a large step towards challenges for the world heavyweight title in 2026.

Huni (12-1, 7 KO) looked like he won points when his blows turned out to be too acute and educated for Wardley. But one blow changed everything after 1.42 seconds in round 10.

Oleksandr Usyk, WBC, WBA and WBO World Heavyweight Champion will face the title of IBF Daniel Dubois to decide on the undisputed master at the Wembley stadium in London, July 19, and Wardley, after one impact, there is now one fight in the world, probably in the world, probably in 2026. Victory was PiS Pister mandatory, but he may be one of the winners from the world that is in the world. Bulgarian veteran Kubrat Pulev and Michael Hunter from the United States before he received the first shot from the world.

“I am not saying that I am a utym or huni with all skills, but I know how to dig deeply, dig a rubber shield and get this result,” Wardley said.

“I should have been better in some of these rounds, and sometimes you have to find something else to win. We won. He is a great warrior, but I found a way.”

Huni said: “Turning off only a second and it happened.”

Wardley hopes that he will become another biggest thing in his hometown of Ipswich after the musician Ed Sheeran and Ipswich Town, the football team fell from the English Premier League last month and, unlike the football team, is upstairs.

Wardley’s creation to the heavyweight elite was speedy. After only four amateur duels, he left his work as a recruitment consultant in the health and social care sector to focus on his boxing career in 2017. Wardley had only four boxing boxers as a beginner amateur before he changed the professional, but was on the brink of a world title.

Wardley, who had a tiny spell in the youth team in Ipswich Town as a teenager, began fighting as a chapter No. 1 WBA behind Pulev after two fights with the English rival Clarke’s phraseer, he raised his career to a modern level last year. Their first fight ended with a draw of points after a brutal meeting, which made Wardley on the ice cream diet a week later, because his jaw hurts so much. But in the rematch in October, Wardley sent Clarke to a round with a broken jaw and a broken cheekbone.

During the second subsequent fight, Six Five Wardley, whose partner is to give birth next week, showed what a perilous blow. Then his promoter Frank Warren compared him to the former WBC DEONTAY WILDER master.

Unlike Wardley, Huni for six feet of four, he had an outstanding amateur career, which made him win the bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships, but his professional career was snail-paced until she gathered last year.

26 -year -old Huni from Brisbane showed that boxing in the authoritative first round, but Wardley was better in the second round behind his stab.

The Australian gathered a few neat combinations in round 3, before Wardley began the fourth aggressively, but the Englishman was not able to maintain the pace.

Huni’s highest experience, built mainly from his amateur career, became really observable in the first half of the fight, and the Australian was too charming for a family hero. In round 5 Huni has repeatedly landed high -quality shots from close range, including the left hook at the end of the round.

The British and master Commonwealth Wardley, whose manager is the title for the title, Dillian Whyte and who paired Usyk, was too half the way, when Huni’s blows turned out to be too acute that the native of Ipswich could avoid.

Huni landed brilliantly in sixth place, when he became dominant more and more often. In the 7th round, Wardley looked temporarily concerned about the stab when Huni increased his advantage.

Wardley was on the rear foot in round 8, when Huni landed in the left, which made Wardley chased to win.

And he delivered him, dusking a tiny right hand in round 10, which caused Huni to crash on his back and count.

Wardley may not have the same amateur pedigree and boxing education as others, but he again showed the power that brings him to the title of the world.
