Is Terenka Crawford too aged and too tiny at Canelo at the age of 168? Efe Ajagba discusses this

Efe Ajagba says it will be so “complex” That Terenca Crawford would move to 168 to fight in a foreign weight class, in which he never competed during his 17-year professional career on September 13. Although Ajagba believes that Crawford (41-0, 31 KO) is “forceful”, it will still be a problem for him in which he jumped two divisions.

Age, weight against Crawford

Crawford only recently advanced from a welterweight to junior medium weight last year. His fight with Israil Madrimov in August last year showed that his power and speed deteriorated from how he performed at the age of 147 [168]Unless Crawford develops a novel strength. This is occasional for a warrior approaching 40 and looking at 50.

Crawford’s power is inappropriate for the 168 pounds division. He could not knock out Madrimov because of the lack of pop, and now he is fighting Canelo, who fought in 175 against Sergey Kovalev and Dmitry Bivol. It’s not like Crawford can go to Walmart and buy some energy before September 13.

“He is forceful, but when you move on weight [168]It will be complex for you to fight – said Efe Ajagba Sean Zittel Crawford moves up to Two weight classes from 154 to fight Canelo Alvarez at 168.

Ajagba understands what Crawford would look like. He knows that there will be too much jump and he is not juvenile. Crawford again seems to be a 50-year-old man. He lived a challenging life in the ring, and this shows physically on him.

Canelo’s weight advantage

“When you move up to fight Canelo, this is not your weight class. You didn’t fight before,” said Ajagba. “So it won’t be comfortable, but Canelo will be comfortable in this weight to fight Crawford. I prefer to go crawford.”

The striking power of Crawford

Powewise, Bud Crawford was outstanding at the age of 135, 140 and 147, but only at the age of 154. He wisely skipped 160, where he would be dramatically unheard of, and now he would move until 168. He will be on a low spectrum and will be forced to rely on his paw as the main weapon.

Crawford cannot afford to stand in the middle of the Canelo ring because he will have holes. Crawford’s face looked like Madrimov’s “Little GGG” and is not at Alvarez.

The Brit was dropped twice by massive underdog Prenga in the opening round of their clash in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, but ‘AJ’ managed to recover and record a big knockdown of his own in the second round that resulted in the stoppage victory.

Joshua and Usyk now train together, having famously had two battles for the unified world heavyweight title in 2021 and 2022, and the Ukrainian has had his say on his stablemate’s victory over Prenga.

Speaking to TalkSporttwo-time undisputed champion Usyk praised Joshua, insisting ‘AJ is back’ before predicting that Joshua will now claim a knockout win over long-term rival Tyson Fury in his next bout.

It’s boxing, [the] big upper cut is good, it’s a knockdown. AJ [come] back and win.

Tony Bellew Reviews Anthony Joshua's Comeback Victory Over Kristian Prenga After Knockdown Drama

Anthony Joshua may have earned a knockout win over Kristian Prenga but the fight certainly didn’t unfold as most people expected.

Joshua was facing the Albanian in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, and it looked like a massive upset could be on the cards when he was dropped twice in the opening round.

‘AJ’ was able to recover and went on to secure a second round knockout victory to prevent the shock lossseemingly paving the way for the battle against Tyson Fury later this year.

One man who was ringside to witness the battle was former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellewand he praised Joshua’s ability to turn things around in the fight after describing it as ‘chaos’.

“We predicted round two but I don’t think we foresaw that. That was chaos. He doesn’t see the uppercut coming and finds himself on the floor without knowing how he got there.

“The second one he did see it coming and he was able to clench down on the jaw. He got up and then the experience that he has he used tonight because he tied him up. Against Andy Ruiz he didn’t know what he was doing and didn’t know how to do that, but tonight he did.

“He showed once again there is no quit. To be that hurt in the first round and get up, that’s the recoveries of power. People talk about your chin, but it’s not, it’s the level of fitness that gets you up from the floor.

“When Joshua gets a fighter hurt he’s the best finisher in the division. Whenever he hurts someone they’re gone. I haven’t seen him drop anybody and they survive, only Andy Ruiz. He’s a ruthless finisher.”

The clash between Joshua and Fury is now expected to be announced soon for later this year, after Fury won his own interim fight on Friday by defeating Mariusz Wach.
