How to watch Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois fight for free on TV and live streaming

Two of the country’s most respected boxers will face off in the Battle of Britain next weekend when Fabio Wardley takes on Daniel Dubois next weekend. The two heavyweights will clash on Saturday (May 9) as the headliner of the ‘Don’t Blink’ event at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, and fans will be able to book a fight here.

This fight will mark the first defense of the WBO title by Wardley (20-0-1, 19 KO) since the WBO title was elevated from interim following the dramatic stoppage of Joseph Parker in October. But he has to do it against a former IBF world champion and one of the few who can say he knocked out former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Londoner Dubois (22-3, 21 KO) amazed “AJ” and the packed Wembley Stadium in 2024, and thanks to Saturday’s victory he can become a two-time heavyweight world champion. Wardley (31) and Dubois (28) are considered two of the most “destructive boxers” in the sport, and each of the proven fighters boasts a 95% knockout record.

Wardley’s illustrious professional career has won him countless fans not only in the UK but around the world, evolving from a recruiting office and white-collar boxer to a world champion. He rose to fame with a British title victory over David Adeleye in 2023, before recording a draw and an explosive first-round knockout against Olympian Frazer Clarke.

His meteoric rise continued when he won the WBA interim world title with a 10th-round stoppage of Justis Huni, before an 11th-round stoppage of Parker ultimately won him the WBO world title when Oleksandr Usyk refused to defend the belt. Dubois won the WBA “regular” world title by knockout of Trevor Bryan in 2022 and defended it against Kevin Lerena before challenging Usyk the following year.

He met the Ukrainian once again at Wembley, where he suffered only the second defeat in his career. I say before Wardley vs. DuboisFrank Warren, founder and chairman of Queensberry, hailed the fight as a piece of “British heavyweight history”.

“It’s another piece of British heavyweight history,” he said. “This is quite simply the most invigorating and explosive fight of Fabio’s first WBO world title defense, and it says everything he wanted about him.

“Fabio’s journey has been extraordinary and inspiring, time and time again he is written off and time and time again he proves people wrong. For Daniel, what is equally extraordinary is that at the age of just 28 he is trying to become a two-time world champion.

“This will be his sixth world title fight and in this series only Oleksandr Usyk has been able to beat him.”
