Hitchins “best in the world” claim: Does he just chase fights for a lot of money?

Richardson Hitchins boasted on social media today, calling himself “The best in the world. “ Hitchins (20-0, 8 KO) IBF Lightweight Welter Intrareight did not prove that he is near the best on the planet at 140.

A recent Richardson knockout from the eighth round of George Cambosos Jr. He was not a substantial enough win to give him the status of the “best in the world” in this division. In a recent interview, Hitchins said that he wanted to fight the WBO champion of 140-pound Teofimo Lopez in unification.

Reign Hitchins’s True Title Reign

Richardson cannot prove that he is the best in the world at the age of 140, if he focuses on money and does not want to fight the best fighters:

  • Gary Antuanne Russell: WBA
  • Subriel Matias: WBC
  • Alberto Puello
  • Oscar Duarte
  • Ernesto Mercado

If Hitchins cannot get Teofimo, he is open to a transfer to 147 to fight Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia, Manny Pacquiao or Brian Norman Jr. In other words, he only wants to fight for a lot of money that millions would pay.

Without Turk’s involvement, Alalshikh’s chances of Richardson Hitchins to fight any of these warriors are practically non -existent. He was probably not sedate, wanting to fight the welterweight master Brian Norman Jr., unless Turki intended to offer him the same money that Haney, Ryan Garcia and Teofimo received in May at Times Square in Recent York.

The best solution to Hitchins’s problem is to stay at the age of 140 and focus on defending his title IBF against the best contender he can get. It would be someone like Puello or Mercado. These guys would take the opportunity to fight the Hitchins if they were to offer them a fight. May not want. We saw Gustavo Lemos close to defeating Hitchins last year with the pressure he had on him. Mercado and Puello are able to do much more.

Janibek Alimkhanuly Shifts Perspective on Hamzah Sheeraz: A New Dynamic in Boxing

Published

"Janibek Alimkhanuly Shifts Perspective on Hamzah Sheeraz: A New Dynamic in Boxing"

Janibek Alimkhanuly spent months trying to get Hamzah Sheeraz into the ring. Now that Sheeraz has vacated his WBO super middleweight title, Janibek is asking fans to stop saying the former champion ran from him. That is generous. It also leaves Janibek with less to say about a fight he wanted badly.

Janibek’s tone has changed since the purse bid. He was eager to fight, said money was not his priority, and publicly pushed Sheeraz to accept. Queensberry then bid $1,001,809 to stage the ordered defense, beating Top Rank’s $820,000 offer. Sheeraz’s 75 percent share would have been roughly $751,000. Days later, he gave up the belt.

That sequence deserves a closer look. Queensberry put a serious number on the fight, so the bid itself cannot be dismissed as proof that nobody valued it. But winning the right to promote a title defense means little to fans when the champion vacates before it happens.

Sheeraz has objected to Janibek receiving a mandatory shot after his failed drug test. He is entitled to explain that position. Fans are equally entitled to ask why the issue reached a purse bid before he surrendered the title. Janibek’s post supplies no answer.

Perhaps Janibek sees no benefit in branding Sheeraz a coward. Doing so would also make the opponent he chased sound less valuable. Calling Sheeraz a great fighter preserves the idea that this was an important contest, even after the belt and the fight slipped away.

The respect between them may be sincere. Janibek still gets no Sheeraz fight, and Sheeraz no longer has to defend his title against Janibek. A friendly photo does not change either result.
