Henry Cejudo gets his revenge, pins Merab Dvalishvili in just 36 seconds in RAF 12 main event

Henry Cejudo made quite a statement in his rematch with Merab Dvalishvili in the RAF 12 main event.

After traveling to Georgia for their first wrestling match where Cejudo was up 8-0 before Dvalishvili came storming back to get the win, the 2008 Olympic gold medalist had no interest in allowing the rematch to look anything like the first encounter.

As soon as the match got started, Cejudo shot inside and scored a quick four-point takedown but then he immediately trapped Dvalishvili on the ground and the former UFC bantamweight champion was struggling to escape. Cejudo was quick to secure the position and he put Dvalishvili's shoulders to the mat and that was enugh for the referee to score the pinfall victory.

The end came just 36 seconds into the match.

â€œMerab is a machine,â€ Cejudo said after his win. â€œI've been fighting for 13 years on my feet and I took the â€˜L' from him. I knew that he wasn't necessarily scrambling â€¦ obviously I got the pin. Cody Garbrandt, you're next bitch.â€

The win crowned Cejudo as the newest crossover champion for RAF and it sounds like he's ready to defend his title sooner than later after calling out another former UFC champion.

As for Dvalishvili, the night didn't go his way but now he'll turn his full attention towards his trilogy against Petr Yan set for the UFC 333 co-main event in October. But he's definitely open for a third match against Cejudo at some point in the future.

â€œAbsoutely. I love challenges,â€ Dvalishvili said. â€œHenry Cejudo called me out and I said yes. He's an Olympic champion for a reason. He beat me today. Let's go for a trilogy in wrestling.â€

Video: Sean King slams Raul Rosas’ brother unconscious at Noche UFC

Sean King III just made a statement in his UFC debut.

On Saturday, King stepped up on nine days' notice to take on Jessie Rosas â€” the elder brother of Raul Rosas â€” in a preliminary bout at Noche UFC, and things couldn't have gone much better for the undefeated â€œKing of New Orleans.â€

Just 30 seconds into the fight, King ducked under a left hand from Rosas right into a takedown attempt, and as Rosas tried to defend, King hoisted him in the air and slammed him viciously down to the mat, knocking Rosas out cold. King pounced with some brutal ground-and-pound on the unconscious Rosas before the referee intervened, calling the bout off just 36 seconds into the first round.

The win moves the 22-year-old King to 7-0 in his professional career with five finishes. For a young man who turned professional last year, King's future looks bright.

â€œHere's my perspective of what just transpired, when it was transpiring.

â€œSo, obviously, I'm coaching Dominick â€” I have no idea what's going on, I'm just coaching Dominick, and Dorian and the Kazakh kid are competing. They get into whatever scuffle or argument, whatever the case is, I don't know. I don't know what's going on, but I do know that it's just John, Mike, and Dorian. John and Mike are in their 50s, 60s. So it's just the three of them and like 15 Kazakh guys.

â€œSo this is all happening, and I'm like, for sure when this match is over there's going to be a fight. 100 percent. So I angle my chair toward their mat while I'm still coaching Dominick. The match ends, the fight starts, so I'm like, OK, we're going to have a fight. Like 15 Kazakh dudes jump John, Mike, and Dorian. So I jump in, I crack the first guy, the second that one of them sees me, a couple of them start yelling, â€˜Gordon, Gordon, Gordon!' So they all turn towards me because they realized I was there.

â€œThey immediately tackled me, two guys grabbed my legs and pushed me over so I just fell over. Then like five or six of them started hitting me in the head. A couple guys are soccer kicking me, a couple guys are punching me, but I still managed to heist back up to me knees. Even though there were between four and six of them â€¦ on top of me, I still heisted up and started coming up to a single-leg. Then the fight got broken up. I stood up, I was like, â€˜Cool, fight's done. Everybody's cool.' So I just ran back, sat down, started coaching Dominick.

â€œSo, thanks to the Kazakh guys for the scrap. That was fun. And always remember, I'm fight of the night, every night.â€
