Harlem Eubank vs. Josh Wagner – Huge Fight Preview and Predictions
After a destitute recent performance, Harlem Eubank returns to the ring on Friday night at the Brighton Centre, where he will face Josh Wagner in the evening’s main event in a ten-round welterweight bout.
Wasserman is promoting the Eubank vs. Wagner fight and broadcasting it live on Channel 5 in the UK.
Eubank (21-1, KO9) was slowly building an undefeated record, and after a hard-to-watch eight-round points victory over Nurali Erdogan in overdue 2024, Eubank started 2025 in style, defeating Tyrone McKenna three times en route to a tenth-round victory that secured the vacant IBF Intercontinental title.
This victory led to a meeting with Jack Catterall in July in Manchester, but with a potential shot at the world title, the two fighters’ styles failed to meld and Eubank lost for the first time, with Catterall eliminated via header. won by technical decision.
Canadian Wagner (19-1, KO10) will start rebuilding Eubank, and the Ontario resident is sure of his return.
After three wins in 2023, Wagner lost for the first time last November, where he was knocked out in seven by David Papot in France for the IBF International and WBO Global belts.
Wagner returned in May after six rounds, stopping Juvenal Herrera in a round in Colombia.
Niall Brown vs. Darren Johnstone
The bottom of the card is worn.
After ten rounds, Niall Brown (16-0, KO6) is in the lead, fighting for the vacant IBO European super middleweight title against Darren Johnstone (12-1, KO3).
Brown has never gone beyond eight rounds and first went the distance in June, beating Matt McCallum in Newcastle.
The last time he was sidelined was in July, ending Victor Ionascu’s career after four rounds. Johnstone has won four times since being knocked out in five by Mark Jeffers in May last year, with his most recent win being a six-plus points success against Harry Matthews in Glasgow overdue last month.
Undercard remaining
In eight rounds, Matty Harris (9-1, KO6) can win his fifth fight on the court and first at this distance, defeating Franklin Ignatius (9-1-1, KO1) in the heavyweight division, and Kieran Molloy (12-0, KO7) should remain undefeated, earning points against Zeuz Varguez Soberanis (11-5, KO5) in the welterweight division.
Cruiserweight prospect Lucas Roehrig (6-0, KO3) can climb to that level with his success against Frenchman Brice Clavier (13-6-1, KO7), and at super featherweight Codie Smith (7-0-1, KO0) can do the same against Franco Andres Cajal (7-5-1, KO2).
The only fighter who will go through six rounds will compete in the heavyweight division, and Harvey Dykes (6-0-1, KO0) may win on points against Ben Vickers (2-0, KO1).
In a four-round fight, Yuvraj Karia (7-0, KO4) may stop bantamweight Brandon Gallardo Vargas (3-10-1, KO1), and Younes Baati (3-0, KO3) may need the distance for the first time to defeat Ezequiel Gregores (3-27, KO0).
Rookie Saqib Mehmood should start by scoring points against Jayro Fernando Duran (15-41-1, KO14) in the lightweight division.

Jaron Ennis is the bookmakers’ main favorite to defeat Xander Zayas in their highly anticipated world title clash on Saturday in Brooklyn.
Ennis challenges Zayas for the WBO and WBA super welterweight belts at the Barclays Center live on DAZN pay-per-view.

On Wednesday, Lewis Crocker heads to Australia to defend his IBF welterweight world title against Liam Paro for the first time.
Crocker will face Paro at the Pat Rafter Arena in Queensland, live on DAZN in the UK and Kayo Sports in Australia.
Crocker (22-0, 11 KO) became world champion in September, defeating Paddy Donovan twice before winning the rematch by split decision.
Man from Belfast recorded his second victory over Donovan after the first victory in March last year, and his rival was disqualified for hitting him after the bell.
Paro (27-1, 16 KO) is trying to become a world champion in two weight categories, having previously reigned in the super-lightweight division.
The 30-year-old won the title with a unanimous decision victory over Subriel Matias in Puerto Rico before winning the belt in his first defense against Richardson Hitchins.
The Australian has since won twice, overtaking David Papot in his last appearance in September.
McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
McKean (24-2, 16 KO) had his career cut miniature after a last-round loss to Filip Hrgovic, followed by a brutal first-round loss to Moses Itauma.

Talivaa (8-2, 4 KO) last won the IBF Oceania-Orient title, defeating Faiga Opelu by first-round stoppage.
