First KO Anthony Joshua, Mihai Nistor Eyes Rematch

Published

on

Exclusive Mihai Nistor told World Boxing News that he would be open to a rematch with the former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in the future.

The Romanian, who fought 64 times in the amateur major, became the first man to throw Joshua in 2011. The European Championships district, which took place in Turkey, represented Joshui’s second defeat after his rival Dillian Whyte knocked him at points in 2009.

Nistor fought thunderous names before he changed the professional at the end of 2019 at the age of 28. Since then, the 34-year-old won all eight of his Pro, winning everything through KO.

After sharing the ring with the heavyweight king Oleksandr Usyk, Filip Hrgovic, Guido Vianelllo, Frazer Clarke and the Golden Olympic medalist Tony Yoka with various results, his days in the unpaid code of the Nistor prepared Nistor for Pro Run.

Coming from Bucharest, he believes that he is not far from Joshua level and is ready to agree to the second fight if the match promoter Eddie Hearn sends the offer.

The victory over Joshua placed Nistor in the return frame with Utyk, who defeated the European Bronze Medalist at the World Series of Boxing.

“I would like to box again with my former rivals,” said Nistor only World Boxing News. “If I could present Joshua and Usyk again, it would be my goal.

“But now I’m not with them. I still won the fighting. I’m a bit disappointed with my career. I was stopped for about two years because of Pandemic.

“I am confident and convinced that I will reach the level of Joshua and Usyk.”

After the paralysis of Joshua from Usyk and his dubious attitude after losses, Nistor added: “I believe that Usyk defeated Joshua thanks to excellent technique and tactics.

“He wanted more victories. I think that Joshua’s behavior can be explained by the fact that losing for the second time made the failure even painful.

“I think that after the defeat of Usyk Joshua it will not recover enough mentally. I think that it led to losing to Dubois. He was not concentrated.”

Nistor also tilted Deontay Wilder to defeat AJ if they are fighting this year, when the “brown bomber” is preparing to return on June 27.

“I believe that Wilder can defeat Joshua. But, as we know, it is more hard to win Deontay Wilder from Usyk,” Nistor predicted.

To sum up his near future, Nistor said: “I expect that I will return to the ring soon. In June or July I will come back and ready for everyone.”

Joshua is currently recovering after an injury and is unlikely to return to the fall.

If the Londoner was seeking to toasty up before he faced Wilder, Mihai Nistor would be an ideal mission of revenge for the two -time heavyweight master after he was eliminated by Daniel Dubois.
