Diego Pacheco defended his WBO International super middleweight title and added the vacant WBC silver belt, but had to come off the deck before taking a 12-round decision victory over Kevin Lele Sadjo in California.
Pacheco (25-0, KO18) was last seen in July, when he was widely scored against Trevor McCumby, and 35-year-old Frenchman Sadjo (26-1, KO23) was last sidelined in August, forcing Martin Ezequiel Bulacio to withdraw after four rounds.
It was a jab fight early on and Pacheco won that initial argument, which also worked well for Sadjo’s body early in the fight.
Pacheco was rained down with a flurry of punches in the third period, but Sadjo started to get into the conversation, scoring a good fourth game before landing some decent right hands amidst some ferocity in the fifth period.

The fight turned into a wrestling match, with Pacheco getting better and better over the next few rounds, but by the eighth round he was on the court when he was dropped by a huge left hook.
He recovered well, with a huge left left to his wobbly Sadjo at the end of the round, and after a few more close frames, Sadjo was injured again in the penultimate frame and finished sturdy, winning a disappointing fight.
Scores of 117-110, 116-111 and 115-112 ensured Pacheco returned home with the belts.

Arturo Popoca (17-0-1, KO9) defended his WBC Continental Americas super bantamweight title by defeating Cesar Vaca Espinoza (19-3-1, KO12).
Two scores of 98-91 and the third 97-92 decided the fight for the undefeated competitor.
Cheavon Clarke (11-2, KO8) won his first fight after back-to-back losses, and the cruiserweight division forced Anthony Holloway (9-10-3, KO7) to withdraw after four rounds of their fight.

McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
McKean (24-2, 16 KO) had his career cut miniature after a last-round loss to Filip Hrgovic, followed by a brutal first-round loss to Moses Itauma.
