“fake†ahead of the Irishman's first title bout in the
Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Garry has emerged as a polarizing figure in recent years for a
variety of reasons, including frequently switching gyms and
allegations about his marriage. The former
Cage Warriors champ's recent claim that women are better suited
to run the world is the latest remark that has drawn reactions from
prominent fighters, including Till and Garry's next opponent,
Islam
Makhachev.

Ian Garry’s comments about women continue to fuel criticism
ahead of UFC 330

Garry's comments came during a recent podcast appearance in which
he claimed that if men listened to women and let them take over the
world, it would be a better place.

“If the world was run by women, we'd all live in a better world,â€
Garry said on the “High Performance†podcast. “If we just listened
to them and let them take over, it would be an easier world.â€

While Till, who has four daughters, acknowledges women's power, he
claims Garry is just trying to “buy love.â€

“I'm not a hateful guy. I don't hate Ian Garry,†Till told The Mac
Life. “But I just think every time that guy speaks, he just
absolutely tarnishes his brand, his image, by what he's talking
about. Look, I'm a guy for the power of the women. I have four
girls and my missus and stuff like that. Powerful women, of course,
we love that, but it's just the things he says. And it's always
like he's trying to buy love. If he was a bit more like me, mate,
people would love him, because he's obviously a great fighter.â€

The Briton sees Garry's public persona as inauthentic and believes
that fans can see right through it.

“The one thing as well, people can see and know a fake guy,†Till
added. “And he's got fake written all over him. For me he has,
anyway.â€

Garry will face Makhachev for the welterweight title at UFC
330 on Aug. 15 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. The
reigning welterweight champion has also weighed in on Garry's
recent comments, questioning whether the challenger's wife has
influenced his opinions.

“He looks very bad in this interview. Better he does training more
and less interview,†Makhachev told MMA Junkie. “It looks like
somebody in the house controls him and tells him what to say in the
interview.â€

suffered a third-round technical knockout loss after a hard-fought

mark the end of his UFC career.

McGee released a statement addressing his retirement. He is proud
of his final UFC fight despite the loss. After 16 years in the UFC,
McGee said he finally took it all in leading up to his farewell
bout. “The Crusher†also paid tribute to 13 coaches and training
partners he lost along the way.

“Saturday night was my last fight in the UFC,†McGee posted on X.
“16 years. 29 fights, including my time in the Ultimate Fighter
house. One hell of a journey. I didn't get my hand raised, but I'm
incredibly proud of my performance, proud of my opponent, and
genuinely happy for him. For the first time, I was able to slow
down and truly experience it all—the weeks leading up to the fight,
fight week, the walk to the Octagon, and everyone who's been beside
me through the highs and lows. Including the 13 coaches and
training partners we've lost. RIP. I gave this sport everything I
had. Sometimes my best was great. Sometimes it was just okay.
Saturday night, I was okay—and okay is good enough for me. I'm
grateful for the wins, the losses, the lessons, the people, and
every damn moment in between. What a journey. Thank you.â€

McGee (22-15) won Season 11 of “The Ultimate Fighter†in 2010,
earning a UFC contract. He overcame addiction before beginning his
professional mixed martial arts career.

Poirier recently recalled an incident in which he helped a teammate
make weight illegally. Poirier's friend was over the weight limit
for a fight in Mississippi, and the former
Ultimate Fighting Championship interim titleholder resorted to
manipulating the scale to help him.

during a Mississippi weigh-in

Fighters shed every bit of clothing and stand behind a towel when
they're close to the weight limit. Poirier stood behind the towel
with his teammate while everyone else was on the other side. “The
Diamond†claims he slightly lifted his friend so that he made
weight.

“One time one of my buddies was fighting in Mississippi,†Poirier
said on the “Deep Waters†podcast. “And they had the towel out, he
was naked, he was over [the weight limit]. I was behind the towel
with him. Everybody was in front. I grabbed a handful of hairy man
*ss cheeks and I lifted him up a little bit, got him on
weight.â€

Poirier (30-10) hung up his gloves after losing to Max
Holloway last year. He has since admitted that he misses
fighting and hasn't entirely ruled out a return.
