Dana White isn't short on options regardless of UFC 329 outcome between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway

Dana White believes the winner of the UFC 329 main event on Saturday will have a bevy of directions available.

Conor McGregor is readying up for his return fight after being away from pro MMA competition for five years. He'll meet an old foe in Max Holloway, who he defeated all the way back in 2013. It's a significant event that figures to have major implications for the winner of the welterweight headliner.

White knows what's at stake, and he told The Mac Life that he has several ideas regardless of who emerges victorious inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (via MMAJunkie).

â€œAnything is possible if he wins on Saturday night,â€ White said. â€œWhoever wins on Saturday night it's a big win and a big step up in their careers, especially at this point in time. These are two guys that have done it all. I've got like five scenarios in my head if Conor wins, and I've got like three for Max if Max wins. So, it's huge for both of them.

â€œThe thing that I love about the sport is, like, who saw the White House coming? That that would happen? I didn't see this fight coming. Last year I was telling you guys I think he'll fight this year and he didn't so then I was thinking he wouldn't fight. It's what keeps this thing fun is, we have an idea of what the rest of the year looks like, but things will happen that we don't see coming.â€

This will be Holloway's first bout at 170 pounds, but not many pundits feel he will stick around in the weight class whether he wins or loses this weekend. While a UFC lightweight title fight can't be ruled out, Charles Oliveira is ahead of â€œBlessedâ€ on the pecking order after defeating him back in March.

As for McGregor, many feel his days at 155 pounds are over. The â€œNotoriousâ€ one has been trading barbs with reigning lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, however. If McGregor's return to the Octagon goes the way he's planning, then his next outing will be quite the story to follow.

round and followed with a punch before the referee stopped the
bout. Despite the setback, â€œNew Mansaâ€ remains optimistic about his
future.

Buckley won six straight fights before his current skid. He now
plans to livestream his efforts to rebuild, inviting fans to follow
the process.

â€œRight now, we rebuilding and I want y'all to see the process, not
just the results,â€ Buckley wrote in the caption of his postfight
Instagram post. â€œThe highs, the lows, and everything it takes to
become who God called me to be.â€

In the accompanying video, Buckley said he wants to share his
training and introduce fans to his team.

â€œI realize that I want to document everything,â€ Buckley said. â€œI
want to document the process, I want to document the work, I want
to document the team. This is really just starting back over from
scratch; creating a new foundation and making something happenâ€¦ I'm
not going to stop; I'm going to keep working. And I'll make sure
that everybody remembers that name.â€

Alexander Volkanovski faces an undefeated challenger, and Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili settle their epic trilogy at UFC 333 this Saturday.

In the main event, Volkanovski puts his featherweight title on the line once again as he takes on Movsar Evloev, who has had his hand raised in all 10 of his UFC appearances and holds wins over Lerone Murphy, Aljamain Sterling, Arnold Allen, and Diego Lopes. At 38, Volkanovski is closer to the end of his career than the beginning, but can he muster up another classic performance to deny the hungry Evloev?

The stakes are just as high in the co-main event, which sees Yan and Dvalishvili face off for a third time with both men owning a definitive victory in their series. Dvalishvili defeated Yan in a three-round bout in 2023, handing Yan a third straight loss and seemingly removing him from the title picture for good; however, Yan bounced back and ended Dvalishvili's bantamweight championship run this past December with a virtuoso five-round performance. Now, the battle again, with a belt and possibly all-time great status on the line.
