Dana White Confusion over Canelo vs. Crawford settled
Published
1 year agoon
Three months before the Canelo vs. event Crawford in the event of a fall in Las Vegas, the confusion is now under control.
It seems that all parties make some progress in the contract between Canelo Alvarez and Terenka Crawford.
One thing we know about is that Canelo will fight Crawford, apparently on September 13. The organizers initially set the date on September 12 at the Allegiant Stadium, but since then it has collapsed.
Clashes with other events required the needs of alternative. However, when he was asked about this by the Mexican media, Canelo said that the fight lasts one hundred percent on the world lasa Las Vegas.
This confirmation suggests that Canelo vs. fight Crawford is probably aimed at the free T-Mobile Arena at the weekend of Independence Mexico.
September 13 is the opening date T-Mobile Arena calendar.
So, with an easily confirmed date and place, the question remains: who promotes the program?
Turki Alalshikh announced that the head of UFC Dana White would take responsibility just to change his mind a few weeks later.
White gave an interview with information that he “hates the promotion of stadium events”, which led to the shock and the next announcement of the owner of the Ring magazine.
“We confirmed that the Canelo vs Crawford promoter will be Sela for the Riyada season. The sender, which we have not decided yet, but the date will be Saturday, September 13. More details soon,” he said.
After radio silence from White about his role in the promotion of the WBC, WBO, IBF and WBA Super Middle Wweight, TKO figure finally broke his silence.
However, White stopped scratching his head, stating that his commitment was unchanged.
“There are many damn things in boxing, but they don’t say s ***,” said White. “Nobody speaks. This is the most amazing thing.
“If we sign a contract, I have to get a phone call and say” hey, we just signed “because 90,000 people will talk about it. These guys don’t talk. “
Asked if he promotes Canelo versus Crawford, he replied: “I am promoting the fight. I will let you know when it was time to inform you.”
After another question about boxing in Presser after the fight for UFC 316, White was more reluctant to answer.
He said, “I really don’t know [why they announced another promoter]. Listen when we work at the UFC headquarters, I’m in my tiny world, man. I do not pay attention to any of these ***.
“I know what’s going on, I know what we are doing, I don’t really pay attention to these things. It doesn’t matter to me.”
The last time he talked to Alalshikhem, White came to the conclusion: “I don’t even remember when I was the last time I talked to him [Alalshikh]But we are good. We are very good. “
Words that tranquil down boxing fans appeared shortly later on Sunday, when Alalshikh added: “My brother Dana will promote this fight.
“This is the fight of the Riyadh season and we have a contract with TKO to promote it. It will be the biggest fight in boxing, and tomorrow I think that I will tell the details, platform and place of this fight.
“(It) me and Dana,” he added.
Fans will be ecstatic to plan a journey to fight. If it is Vegas, it should be confirmed by the end of June, so that’s good news.
This time gives just over two months to the first bell, when the undisputed champion Canelo and Crawford collide in the clash for remuneration for a view that is to compete with Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao in terms of PPV price.

Oscar Collazo drops Valdez three times before stopping him in the corner

June 23, 2026
Oscar Collazo remained undefeated and won the WBO International flyweight title on Saturday night with a devastating two-round victory over Neider Valdez.
The unified WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine minimumweight champion improved to 15-0 with 12 knockouts after defeating Valdez three times before Mexico’s corner stopped the fight at 2:35 of the second round.
Making his final appearance at 112 pounds, Collazo showed his strength immediately transferred to the upper division, defeating Valdez from the opening bell at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California.
The Puerto Rican striker repeatedly found a home for his left hand and left no doubt about the outcome before the fight was called off.
“I felt great at 112 pounds. I love this division. In fact, I want to stay here for a long time,” Collazo said.
Knockdowns
Collazo admitted that he had already called for the fight to be stopped.
“After the third knockdown I was basically saying, ‘Never again, never again’. It was the right decision for his safety. His corner was well checked.
The victory added another belt to Collazo’s collection and enhanced his growing reputation as one of boxing’s most invigorating champions in the lower weight division.
Looking ahead, Collazo has made it clear who he wants next.
“The fight with Ricardo Sandoval definitely interests me. I really want that fight. I’m ready for gigantic fights. I’m ready to make history. That’s the fight I want next.”
Sandoval currently holds the WBA flyweight title, making this one of the most attractive fights available if Collazo continues his climb in weight.
The event was broadcast live on DAZN and was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in partnership with Miguel Cotto Promotions.
