Conor Benn gives Devin Haney the oath following Bill Haney’s comments
Conor Benn has slammed Devin Haney’s father and trainer Bill as the war of words between both camps continues.
Benn co in the photo he is sleeping on Eddie Hearn’s shoulder during Haney’s Saturday victory over Brian Norman Jr, during which the American became the WBO welterweight world champion and three-division champion.
“The Destroyer” revealed his intentions to return to the welterweight division following his middleweight rematch victory over Chris Eubank Jr earlier this month.
Both Devin and Bill have dismissed Benn as a potential opponent in recent days and have instead focused on unifying with WBA champion Rolly Romero.
Bill sent a harsh message to Benn’s father and former two-division world champion Nigel Benn, accusing his 29-year-old son of living in his father’s name.
“Oi Nigel Benn, all respect to you, a true legend,” wrote Haney Sr X.
– But your boyfriend puts your name to shame, dude.
“Beating Eubank Jr. once doesn’t make Conor a world-class fighter, does it?

“He’s still a loud-mouthed fool with ZERO world titles, no matching belts, and not a single win that puts him anywhere near Devin’s zip code.
“Every time he talks like he’s an elite, he just proves he lives off your work, not his own.
“All lips, no championships.”
Benn’s victory over Eubank Jr. was the biggest of his professional career to date and allowed him to recover from a defeat to a Brighton player seven months earlier.
On Wednesday, the Essex fighter responded to the Haneys, warning that if they clash, he will knock out the modern champion.

“You are constantly worried about my achievements @Realdevinhaney, @BillHaney77,” he wrote on the site X.
“The reality is you are putting people to sleep.
“I’ll see you soon and I guarantee I’ll nail you to the floor.”
Haney’s goal is a rematch with Ryan Garcia, although his compatriot will probably face WBC champion Mario Barrios for the first time in February.
Last April, Garcia lost The Dream four times by majority vote, but the result was overturned after Garcia tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine, leading to a one-year suspension from the Novel York State Athletic Commission.

Jaron Ennis is the bookmakers’ main favorite to defeat Xander Zayas in their highly anticipated world title clash on Saturday in Brooklyn.
Ennis challenges Zayas for the WBO and WBA super welterweight belts at the Barclays Center live on DAZN pay-per-view.

On Wednesday, Lewis Crocker heads to Australia to defend his IBF welterweight world title against Liam Paro for the first time.
Crocker will face Paro at the Pat Rafter Arena in Queensland, live on DAZN in the UK and Kayo Sports in Australia.
Crocker (22-0, 11 KO) became world champion in September, defeating Paddy Donovan twice before winning the rematch by split decision.
Man from Belfast recorded his second victory over Donovan after the first victory in March last year, and his rival was disqualified for hitting him after the bell.
Paro (27-1, 16 KO) is trying to become a world champion in two weight categories, having previously reigned in the super-lightweight division.
The 30-year-old won the title with a unanimous decision victory over Subriel Matias in Puerto Rico before winning the belt in his first defense against Richardson Hitchins.
The Australian has since won twice, overtaking David Papot in his last appearance in September.
McKean meets Taliva
Heavyweight Demsey McKean will look to continue his rebuild when he faces Liam Talivaa for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific title.
McKean (24-2, 16 KO) had his career cut miniature after a last-round loss to Filip Hrgovic, followed by a brutal first-round loss to Moses Itauma.
