The 20-year-old phenomenon was too speedy, withdrawing Jaimes’s head with a stiff stab before discharging the power shots that he had never seen. Mason dropped him four times before judge David Fields stopped him at 1:55.
“I said the same thing {about the fact that I am no longer called a perspective}. We say the same. We want lanes, world championships – said Mason. “I have to continue to do what I do and make these guys look like I did since I became a professional.”
Olympian Dominican Republic Rohan Polanco (15-0, 10 KO) did a quick work of Jean Carlos Torres (22-2, 17 KO), securing TKO in the second round. Arnold Barboz Jr. He upset the home crowd when the American took a momentary super delicate WBO title in a tactical battle with Jacek Cattell in Manchester.
Barbosis annulled the work of Cattell, rejecting the favorite before fighting for the early rounds. As the Barboza competition progressed as well as he got as a chess match played for twelve rounds.
The 33-year-old impressed the judges enough to make a decision and a belt with two judges 115-113. The third saw this 113-115 in favor of Cattell for a divided decision on the Live Arena Co-OP.
WBN shot a draw of the fight, but he could not argue with the fact that Barboza got him because Cattell did not do enough to win. Compupox Stats for Catterall vs Barboza proved how complex it was to divide both men.
“It was a strict fight, as evidenced by the fact that only in one of the twelve rounds were veterans separated by more than four landed blows,” said Compubox. “Barboza and Catterall Maleli and they missed a lot, but Barboza was a more busy warrior, throwing 123 more blows, but landing only 18 blows than Catterall.
“Barbosa spent most of the fight Catteralla circulated, moving in and out of reach, while Cattell was looking for holes that did not materialize. Cattell threw only 25 blows per round, and Barbosa on average 36. “
After his greatest triumph, Barboza thanked the Oscar de la Hoya, calling him the “greatest promoter” in the industry. De la Hoya mentioned a few times about Barboza during the struggle in social media, stating that it has a level of six rounds, just like WBN.
Congratulations, @Jrbarboaarnold 👏

After the sentence, De la Hoya added “and up-to-date” because he will probably pack into another world champion in stable Golden Boy promotions.
Teofimo Lopez holds a full belt, but apparently it is ready to be released, not to face barboza, which means that there is an improvement on the cards. Lopez is looking for alternative challenges despite the mandatory WBO order to fight Barboza over the next few months.
The consensus is that Lopez will look elsewhere, and Barboz will soon celebrate its first world championships.
Reece Bellotti, Pat McCormack, Jazza Dickens and William Crolla enjoyed the victories on the card.
