Catterall and Ennis form a modern alliance for a welterweight

Jack Cattell will join the forces of WTH Derek’s coach “Bozy” Ennis to start training in Philadelphia. This is a strange couple, as the gods, the father of the former United Care Champion, Jaron “Boots” Ennis, is known for being more a coach who teaches crime.

The problem of “British Shakur”

This combat style may not work with Cattell, which some call “British Shakur”. God is not a wonderful employee, someone who can magically transform Jacek into a copy of his son “shoes” Ennis. An attempt to change Cattell can break him as a warrior, because Stevenson’s style is so rooted in it.

With a lack of Cattella power and his style of combat in the Shakur style, training in God may not bring the results he needs to become a real pretender for a welterweight. It may be better to cooperate with Brian “Bomac” McIntyre so that he can train side by side with Crawford to imitate his fighting style.

Is this the last effort?

Some perceive this as the last effort of Catteralla (31-2, 13 KO) to rebuild their career after his last 12-round defeat of the decision with Arnold Barboza Jr. February 15. Jack did not look good in this fight because he was overtaken and treated by Barboza Jr.

In the last fight, Catteralla moved to a welterweight and defeated Harlem Eubank through a seven -liter unanimous decision on July 5, 2025. The competition ended when both warriors suffered cuts in seventh place because of his head clash. At the time of stopping, Cattell was ahead of 69-66, 69-66 and 69-65.

Cattell won over former masters: Regis Prograis, Josh Taylor and Jorge Linares. He did not defeat anyone who was still in their splendor, and his last performances against Barboz Jr. And Eubank suggest that maybe never.

Widely open sheller field

Cattell has for him that a branch in a welterweight lacks talent when Jaron Ennis moved to 154. This was the last other fertures. Now that he is not there. It remains mainly at level B to choose the best places.
