Brave Combat Federation celebrates African Day 2025

When the world unites on the occasion of African Day 2025, Brave Combat Federation proudly joins the commemoration of the opulent history, cultural pride and the future promise of the African continent. As a truly global MMA promotion with roots in every corner of the world of fighting, Africa is more than just a market for a brave CF. Instead, the African continent is perceived as a land of warriors whose stories and spirit embody the heart of combat sport.

African Day, observed every year on May 25, honors the creation of the African Union (AU), which was then known as an organization of African unity (Oau). Established in 1963, AU is a symbol of unity, independence and pride for the continent, whose sons and daughters still impress their mark on many global scenes. In 2025, the importance of that day is even deeper in a brave nation, because Africa fighters gain importance in some of the most competitive sport divisions.

Among the flag Fly Flag Flag is Nicholas “The Saint” Hwende, the prevailing brave world champion Bantamweight from Zimbabwe. Hwende engraved his name in the historical books of promotions in December 2024, when the brave CF 91 against his colleague African, an outstanding and bold graduate of CF, nkosi ndebele. The fight not only showed MMA at the elite level, but also symbolized the growing influence of the continent on sports.

The presence of Africa in Brave CF goes far beyond the ranks of Bantam’s weight. In the Super Wieredzna Branch, Eliezer “King Kong” Kubanza from the Democratic Republic of Congo gained a reputation of his cruelty and knockout strength, becoming one of the most hazardous people in the division. Meanwhile, Mohamed “L’ATME” Algeria said that I had still strengthening his status of the best featherlight pretender to heavyweight, combining experience and harvest with a relentless combat spirit, which brought him respect on continents.

Youssef Boughan from Morocco, a decorated attacker with the elite background of Muay Thai, proudly represents North Africa in a slight division, introducing a lively set of skills on the global scene. In the ranks of a pencil scale, Congish colleague, Prince “The Black Lion” Lolia quickly broadcasts the brand as a powerful pretender with the ambitions of the Gold Championships. In order not to outdo, Luthando “Shorty” Biko in South Africa recently entered the bold CF flying ward, and his technical fitness and heart makes him one of the most captivating division warriors.

The Brave CF relationship with Africa always went beyond its list. The organization has made a conscious effort to introduce its events to African land, offering local fans the possibility of world -hand MMA world -hand provision, while enabling international athletes to experience and culture of the continent. From Morocco to South Africa, Brave CF built a proud and growing history in Africa with several events. Recently, in May 2024, the promotion landed in St. Pierre, Mauritius for Brave CF 82, additionally expanding his African trail and putting the foundation of future events.

Robert Whittaker called out by former UFC champ for light heavyweight return

Today's UFC Paris event was headlined by a lightweight contest featuring Dan Hooker taking on Salahdine Parnasse.

Hooker (24-15 MMA) had entered the contest with hopes of snapping a two-fight losing skid. ‘The Hangman' had most previously competed this past February at UFC 325 in Sydney, where he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Benoit Saint Denis. That setback was preceded by a submission defeat to Arman Tsarukyan in November of last year. Prior to those losses, Dan Hooker had put together a three-fight winning streak, a stretch which included victories over Jalin Turner and Mateusz Gamrot.

Meanwhile, Salahdine Parnasse (24-2 MMA) was making his Octagon debut this evening in Paris. The former two-division KSW champion had entered the contest on a five-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming over Kenneth Cross at May's ‘Rousey vs. Carano' MVP MMA event.

Tonight's UFC Paris headliner proved to be a coming out party for Salahdine Parnasse. The former KSW champion made quick work of Dan Hooker, disposing of ‘The Hangman' in the very first round. The finishing sequence began with a kick to the liver and ended with a nasty left hand that sent Hooker crashing to the canvas. It was an impressive showing for the UFC newcomer and sets him up for a high profile fight next time up.

Hooker continues to dish out the low kicks, but Parnasse is checking most of them. Salahdine is backing ‘The Hangman' up against the cage. A heavy body kick from Parnasse hurts Hooker! That looked like a liver shot. Hooker is doubled over and covering up! Salahdine Parnasse swarms him with shots. A big left hand drops the UFC veteran and this one is all over! WOW! What a debut!
